It is a beautiful house and property. The hot tub was my favorite thing. The view off over the canyon was beautiful and very relaxing. The beds were comfortable.
We had an amazing view of the eclipse. The home was comfortable and cozy. Spent the evening in the hot tub or by the outdoor fire. Our hostess was always available and gave great instruction and added info about property. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed for a girls weekend and enjoyed both the lovely home and the location. Rebecca is great with communicating and accommodating. She also gave recommendations of what to see and where to eat in the area. We look forward to enjoying her hill country home again in the future!
This is a beautiful home as advertised. Plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor deck is awesome! Close to Floore’s Country Store for concerts, LaCantera golf club, and Old Town Helotes. Bandera is a short drive away. Loved our stay and gracious host!
The house was as described in the listing and pictures. The weather was too hot to take advantage of the hot tub more than once, but it was clean and refreshing. Supplies could have been stocked a bit better, but it was an enjoyable stay.
This beautiful property tucked into Helotes' hills is a perfect place to relax and enjoy San Antonio. The furnishings are lavish, yet it feels like home; the grounds well maintained and the hosts are very accommodating. My grandson had a grueling 4 day swim meet and looked forward to soaking in the hot tub and retreating to the loft to re-energize. We are looking forward to going back next year (or maybe sooner)!
Our family came to Helotes to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. This was a 5-star accommodation where we experienced great peace and comfort in this lovey home. Our family made many memories from playing darts, bags, shuffleboard to simply sitting on the deck watching the sunset while in the hot tub and enjoying the ambience of the chiminea. We experienced great fun at Floor's Country Store and the nearby golf course. Highly recommended and we will definitely return for our next getaway.
Beautiful home in the hills, like being in a treehouse. Wonderful host who was available at a moments notice, not that we needed her, just was there with helpful info on the area. Check in was a breeze and the house!!! Absolutely beautiful and super quiet. No big city noises, totally quiet. Will definitely stay again when in the San Antonio area. Clean, has everything you might need and then some. Back yard and deck has a hot tub and was perfect for relaxing with a drink and a book! Truly a hidden gem!!
Loved the view and location! Very much appreciated the high vis tape on the floor. Helped my nearly 3 year old manage around the house. We really enjoyed it and would stay again. The house could use a deep clean/dust. A lot of the upholstery just needs a deep vacuuming. Generally the house was clean though. Plenty to do, great yard. Loved the hot tub!!
Home is in a lovely neighborhood in the hills of west San Antonio. Beautiful views. Uniquely designed home with a great layout and charming decor. Check in was easy and smooth. Owner texted right away to see if we needed anything. Beds were comfortable. Couldn't give it five stars because the A/C struggled to keep up -- it wasn't terrible (and we like it cooler than others might). And as another reviewer said, we thought the house could use a deep cleaning and some updating.
I’m so glad we decided to rent this home instead of a hotel. Most of our plans fell through because of the rain, so we ended up ha golf out at the house most of the time. Definitely way better then a hotel. It was inviting and had a very homey feel. Everything was nice and clean. The beds were really comfortable too! The owners are very responsive, we had an issues with the hot tub and he came out and fixed it for us. The only downside to that was it never got past 93” which he did tell me it would take awhile to heat up. I highly recommend staying here.
Our first time in San Antonio, and this property was fairly convenient and felt comfortable even if not luxurious. Communication was great and very responsive, which was much appreciated. If considering this rental do be aware that it is (and feels like) a somewhat older property (layout, furnishings, etc.), though well equipped. We would have spent more time on the back patio but found that at some times, the mosquitoes descended; we had better luck on the balcony off the master bedroom. The location is very close (~5 minutes) to Old Town Helotes, which has pleasant outdoor seating surrounded by the Cracked Mug Coffee House, which we very much enjoyed, a Busted Sandal taproom, Wine 101, and several other shops. Not far to other restaurants and amenities either.
This house was well-located for a family weekend getaway. We enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking in Government Canyon and playing disc golf at the Helotes city park, both of which were a short drive. We had a fun and tasty meal on the patio at El Chaparral which is less than 5 minutes away.
The house was larger than we required, but had everything we needed to relax and cook a couple meals in the large kitchen. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub which is new and clean. The shuffleboard table in the garage was fun.
The large outdoor area is nice and has plenty of room to spread out. The patio furniture could use a good cleaning and a little more attention between guests. I realize with all the trees it's hard to keep clean but a quick hose off and wipe down would help.
Note that there are lots of 1-2 step areas into living room, bedrooms and even down into the showers. The floors are all tile. Use caution especially when walking around in the dark.
There were some delights and some disappointments.
Your home is beautiful and very well cared for. The big living room was a plus as we spent hours there catching up on each other. As well as the kitchen table. We didn't use the outside as most of us were of the age of needing hand rails to negotiate the steps. And that is our disappointment.
Steps into and out of the living spaces were a hindrance to our enjoyment as well as the sunken showers. I would not have rented your home if I'd been aware of them or the steps. I do think that is something you need to make known as part of the information when someone is looking to book. The location was perfect, one bed was too high for only the younger of the adults, in their 40's but anyone older, in their 70's it was not reachable. I'm sure you are aware of one of your ceiling lights flickers and was distracting. Your kitchen was marvelous and the window views were so wonderful.
The minute I saw this property I fell in love... I have spent the better part of my life here biking, hiking this unique hill country park area enjoying the coyotes call to one another at sunset, the little red foxes and wild turkey that roam about .. the squirrel, cardinal and hummingbirds, rabbits, the monarchs passing through on their flight to Mexico, the bats catching bugs at dusk, blessed peace and quiet here, yet close enough to everything. literally everything ... feel like horseback ride, skeet shoot, honky tonk at Floores country store, country ballroom dance , mouthwatering tex-mex and margaritas, golf(5) , antiquing, upscale shop , golf amusement parks, all within five mile radius ... Downtown San Antonio and the Alamo, Missions, Pearl Brewery complex 25 minutes away ....Medina Lake and Rio Medina 25 minutes away ... I am willing to share this wonderful, soulful place with someone eager to appreciate, and take good care of her,,,Te Amo and Mi Casa Su Casa ...Rebecca
