We loved our stay at this oceanfront property. It was clean, a great location, huge yard, responsive owner/manager, beautiful rooms, outstanding kitchen, and wonderful pool. For a group with two families of four, this property is hard to beat.
Perfect house for multiple families. Everyone has their own area that feels private and comfortable. The setting and details of the house are unmatched.
This was an absolutely gorgeous home to spend a week in! The rear deck had everything one would need for a perfect beach trip - great pool, large outdoor dining, cool and shaded seating, private boardwalk to the beach, and an unbeatable view. The historic house was charming and spacious, with plenty of space for us to be together, and large comfortable bedrooms. Everything was just lovely. I wish I could have stayed all summer!
First time staying at IoP. Location and Dunewalk property was fantastic. The house had everything you would need for a large family/group. Love the history of the house and was very spacious. We will be back!
This place was amazing and charming. We have visited IOP for years and this is, hands down, the best house at which we have stayed. Rebecca was super helpful, the house was very well stocked and the ocean side pool and deck was amazing. We spent more time outside than inside!!
Wonderful location. Beach house with deck pool and hot tub on the main level. Beautiful modern kitchen, seating and dinnerware for lots of people 4 nice bedrooms each with a private bathroom. My 4 year old granddaughter loved the pool. Would definitely stay there again. Lots of communal spaces.
We rented this house with another family . We have kids aging from 8-11. It was great . Clean, well equipped with beach stuff , activities and the owner has thought of everything . Location was spectacular. Close to grocery stores. Owner was very responsive . Only thing is one or two rooms didn’t get as cool as we liked but ceiling fans helped . Otherwise top notch
We stayed at Dunewalk this past week. The house is well equipped and very clean. It is large and can accomodate a large family or multiple couples.
The pool and hot tub as well as easy access to the beach were the highlights for us. There are outdoor games and pool toys available. It is located within walking distance of grocery shopping and some restaurants and is an easy drive to other places.
Two minor issues were being on the busy main street made getting out of the driveway a bit of a challenge at times. The other issue was the slow response from the property manager when questions were asked. Luckily we had no major issues that needed immediate attention.
I would definitely recommend Dunewalk in Isle of Palms. .
This is our second time
Staying at this house. It was as beautiful as we remembered. The only negative I would have is the pull out couch in the office is awful. There was very little hanging closet space in the rooms. The property manager was completely unresponsive when we had some issues. Thank goodness the owner was paying attention. An actual working phone number to
Speak with someone would be a plus.
The property was ideal for a family vacation. The house, pool, and access to beach were excellent. Charleston and Sullivan's Island were easily accessible. The Island is very friendly and shopping , dining, and activities are minutes away. Our daughters and grandchildren had adventures everyday and each dinner was a celebration! Time to plan the next trip!
It was an amazing property! The remodeled historical home was gorgeous and had wonderful space and amenities! Highly recommend staying here. The kitchen was very well stocked. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and lovely. They all had kings beds but could be reconfigured to twins if needed. Office sofa transformed to queen bed. The pool on the deck was so nice and spa for when water was chilly. Long private boardwalk to the beach that was not crowded at all! It was a perfect vacation spot for our family and a couple friends!!
Dunewalk is a lovely home that reminds one of life here many years ago, but adds the comfort and luxury of a modern home. We loved the pool and hot tub (be sure to choose the heated option) and the fireplaces and woodwork warm the body and soul. We recommend this spot for a family or friends reunion - as we plan to do - for a memorable stay at IOP. Thank you, Rebecca, for your attention to details and clear and timely communication. Looking forward to our stay again at Dunewalk!
This is a warm, comfortable, very nice house! Furnishings are like new and comfortable. Dishes, pots, pans, and appliances are all top-notch. Proximity to the beach could not be better. Views from the house, the rear pool deck, and the rooftop deck are spectacular. We will stay again!
The bedroom and bathroom arrangement allowed all our three children and spouses their own space. The kitchen was well equipped. The outdoor entertainment area and the pool were an absolute highlight.
Overall, a great house in IoP. Clean, with two dishwashers and washers/dryers and nice living area with tv. Pool has a lovely view and hot tub, although the pool is not suited to young kids since there is no shallow end, the bottom is dark, and there are built-in steps and seats that take up much of the swimming area. House has a good layout to accommodate a couple of families with younger kids. It is located next to a public beach access though, so the beach tends to be more crowded than expected.

Mold! No Internet. access to beach by property...
The house was explained to me as a wonderful property. This it was Not! There was mold on most of the ceilings, there was basically no internet, the house was an add on property where it had no flow-was not good for a family! This was one of the most disappointing places ever!!!
We had a wonderful week at this beautiful house! It was well equipped for a large group! Easy access to the beach, the pool and hot tub were an added extra! The one suggestion we might add is that it would have been nice to have a proper bed in the "office" instead of a pull out sofa just to accommodate more people! With a house this size it would make a lot of sense! Thank you! We would be so happy to rent this house again!
Restored beach home with classic appeal. Plenty of room for our three generation party of eight. Large family room area, expansive kitchen, and covered porch were gathering spots. Kids were in the pool every day. Excellent beach access.
