This is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful, with lake views. There are apple and pear trees on the property, and the propery backs up to a vineyard, which gives a sense of privacy. Rabbits and turkeys were frequent visitors in the backyard, it was magical. There is a beautiful back deck for stargazing at night. The home interior is beautifully decorated and was well stocked with all of the conveniences of home (towels, cooking utensils, etc). The layout of the house was perfect for our needs, traveling with our young son and his grandparents - plenty of bedrooms with full bathrooms, nicely spaced out. Beautiful memories were made here, highly recommend.
We had a great stay at Daphne and Mel’s rental house. It’s in a quiet and peaceful side-street with views of Lake Erie. The house was well stocked and Daphne was super responsive to my questions. This was a great location to hit all the favorites in Erie, and a good jumping off point for Niagra. We’d definitely stay here again!
This property was everything it is advertised to be. The host responded very quickly to my questions prior to booking. The three bedrooms, three bath house and its layout worked perfectly for my family. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. The host provided check in procedures 24 hours before arrival as advertised when the rental was booked. There was a short walk to the public access area to the beach, which we enjoyed each morning and most evenings to watch the sunset. It was also conveniently located near Mazza winery and less then 6 miles to Green Meadows Golf course. The gas grill and fire pit (you will have to source your own wood) got plenty of use during our stay. The house is also located two miles south of the North East marina for those who want to launch a boat and Fishermans Beach where we spent most afternoons swimming and enjoying the sand/rock beach area (which allows dogs on the beach). This is probably one of the best VRBO houses and vacations we have had as a family. We are looking forward to a return visit in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay at Daphne's house, which was located on a private, quiet street in the country near the water. The house was modern, clean, with hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings. The backyard was spacious and included a deck and a patio. Daphne was very helpful when we had questions. Definitely recommend!
We visited North East, PA to celebrate my parent's birthdays. This home was even more beautiful in person than in pictures. It is across the street from the lake. The backyard had a firepit to enjoy a fire at night when it got chilly. Flat backyard for kids to play. Beds were so comfy. Plenty of space, bedrooms, and bathrooms for our family of 7. We ate dinner outside on the patio each night and had quality time with great conversations and memories. There was something so peaceful and private about this home and space. Truly was the recharge that we all needed before my Mother begins her next cancer treatment. Grateful for the time away!
Daphne’s home was the perfect place for our Father’s Day getaway. It felt like home from the moment we came in the door. Our favorite things about the house were the kitchen, family room and the beautiful views and sunsets on the lake. We made wonderful memories and will never forget this trip.
Lovely property with a nice view, well maintained. This home had everything we needed, and was so organized & clean, nestled within vineyards , made for quiet picturesque am walks.
The house was very nice. The grounds were in need of maintenance, but given the time of the year and the amount of rain it was understandable.
My only real disappointment was that we had booked the house in January of 2023 in order to be in a good viewing spot for the total eclipse that occurred in April of 2024. However given that the allowed check-in time of 4:00 was strictly enforced and occurred after the eclipse, we ended up watching from a nearby winery instead.
Overall a very nice property and a relaxing setting. The only drawback for us, is the kids like playing in the Lake/Sand, and these beaches are all gravel.
This property might be better suited to older people….?
Great House, Quiet Neighborhood...A Very Pleasant Experience
This was our second stay at the property. The house is well maintained, clean and has a spacious backyard with vineyards on one side and along the backside of the house. There's a roomy patio area which is great for gathering with friends and family. We would definitely stay there again. An added plus -- Daphne, the Host, is quick when responding to messages.
We loved everything about our experience! The house was fabulous, it was spotless and had everything you would need! The neighborhood and lake access was perfect!
This is a great house in about as good of a location as you can get. You can see the lake off the front porch or enjoy the vineyards off the back patio. Inside was clean and well stocked with everything we needed and more. It is a mile from North East Marina for fishing, has beach access, close to the town center, close enough to Erie, and is surrounded by wineries. The only thing we would change inside is the beds are pretty soft. That is just a preference though and there's no way to make everyone happy as people prefer different things when it comes to a mattress. The little community this house is in was extremely friendly. Pretty much everything you could ask for out of a rental.
The house was clean, spacious and updated but the temperature in the upstairs bedrooms was too warm.
We enjoyed our stay at this house except for the temperature in the upstairs bedrooms, especially the back, captive bedroom with the 2 twin beds. The downstairs was really comfortable but on the hot days, it was hard to sleep upstairs. I would not rent this house again in the summer for this reason. They need room air conditions for the upstairs. The location was nice in a very quaint friendly neighborhood that has access a few houses down the street to a rocky beach area to play in the water or watch the sunset. There is no lifeguard but our 4 year old granddaughter enjoyed playing in the sand and splashing in the water. It is about a 5 minute drive to the town of North East. The town is very quaint and we there are a few shops and restaurants. We ate at the Skunk and Goat Tavern and would go back again. It is set in an old bank complete with a vault. Service and food were good. It is within walking distance to Mazza Winery and less than 10 minutes to other wineries. We went to Arundel Winery and Brewery and had lunch there too. The ambiance and food were really good . It is about 30 minutes to Splash Lagoon and Waldemere Park and possibly 45 minutes depending on which beach you go to in Presque Isle. Overall we had a good experience at the house. It is well stocked with everything needed. I would suggest to owner to use downstairs TV room as a bedroom since it is cooler and across from a bathroom and maybe putting in a queen bed and putting TV in the family room.
What a gem! This house is immaculately clean, well-equipped and spacious enough so that families can spread out but still spend time together in a beautiful location. The setting is ideal, quiet and perfect for quality family time.
Daphne could not have been easier to communicate with. Many thanks to her for sharing her cherished family home with us!
we spent time sitting outside at the table on the patio enjoying the vineyard view and peaceful setting. it’s an easy walk to the access to the lake which we used every time to enjoy lake views. The street where the home is located is quiet and pretty to walk along each morning. the home easily accommodated our family of 7 with ample beds and bathrooms! we were able to walk to Mazza winery one afternoon. we would stay here again! thank you.
I rented this house for my bridesmaids and I to stay at the night before and get ready at the day of and it was absolutely beautiful. So much room, so clean and so cute! We loved staying here and we’re beyond grateful to have such a beautiful space to all be together to celebrate my marriage!
I was looking for a place to stay overnight for my son was graduating from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. I wanted it to be somewhere special and this place was perfect. The home was warm, inviting and just lovely. The setting was absolutely perfect. We loved it so much we cancelled our dinner reservations and ordered pizza so we could stay and enjoy the outdoors. We also visited the winery that was right across the street and brought back wine to drink with the pizza. We couldn’t of planned a more perfect evening. The hosts were responsive and there wasn’t anything that we could have needed that wasn’t available here. This was our first Vrbo rental and I would definitely say it was a wonderful experience and a great place to stay. I would come back and recommend that you give it a try.
