Beautiful and Spacious
While we enjoyed our stay, I would not rent again just because of the separate NONREFUNDABLE Pet Fees per dog. We did enjoy the area but the -2 degree weather kept us indoors. Granddaughter loved the tub in the master bath but would advise not turning on the jets. Black stuff shoots out into the clean water and makes it nasty.

Early Christmas with family
The house was absolutely perfect. The weather was chilly and the fireplace was a great addition to the family room. With 7 adults, there was more than enough space to sit around. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, coffee, etc, but you will need to bring spices if you plan on cooking. There was only salt, powdered creamer, sugar, and pepper. Travel to hiking, groceries, Asheville were all very reasonable. The only pizza around,Sky Mountain Pizza, was pretty good and fairly priced. Response time from rental company is very good. Minor considerations: there are no throw blankets on the couches, which are kinda nice to have. One towel per person is ok for most men. But as a woman with long hair, two towels are a must. The driveway is a bit of a challenge if you arrive for the first time in the dark. All-in-all. we loved the stay, and would come back again. I don’t hesitate recommending.

Great Place !
This house was exactly what we were looking for in a mountain retreat. The house was amazing! Very short distance to downtown Ashville. We would recommend this location to others.

Weekend getaway
Hi Steve, We thoroughly enjoyed your home. Everything was very nice. The only thing we have for suggestions as females who stayed in your home is the stairs that leads from the cul-de-sac needs more lighting. Again thank you for letting us enjoy your lovely hime

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
The good: -Upstairs rooms are generously sized with high ceilings (The upper level is ideal for two people looking for one-floor living.) -The master bed is VERY comfortable and the master bath is nice. -The location is reasonably secluded and quiet. -Yonder, the property management company, was very responsive to our issues The bad: -The kitchen, while large, is not well equipped. Clearly not a cook’s kitchen. -Maintenance: SO many issues that indicated the house had not been inspected closely before our arrival. Many burned out lightbulbs, a powder room light that had ceased to function at all, GFI switches that had tripped, shutting off power to many outlets, fireplace didn’t light until a maintenance person spent 20 mins working on it smoke detectors beeping in the middle of the night due to failing batteries. What’s worse is that when the maintenance person showed up to fix the detectors, he didn’t have enough batteries or a ladder! -The Drive: It’s a 20-minute drive to downtown Asheville. -Towels: The property company only provides one set of towels per person. -Garage Door Opener: The home does not provide a garage door opener or a keypad. -Dangerous Stairs: There is a very steep stairwell right off the kitchen down to the lower level. It does not have a door and any other means of preventing a little one from falling down the stairs. -Dehumidifier: there was a portable de-humidifier in the lower level that ran 24/7. It was loud, and when it stopped, there was a smell. To make matters worse, we had to empty the darn thing every 8 hours, which wouldn’t have been so bad if it weren’t for the next problem. -CRICKETS! Not just one or two – this was a Biblical invasion of hundreds of crickets. When we arrived, there were dozens of crickets, both alive and dead, on the lower level floor. We called the property company immediately upon arrival. Their first solution was to ask us to find the vacuum cleaner and vacuum them up ourselves. (Um, no.) They did send someone to clean them up the following morning and put out glue traps, but the lower level was uninhabitable the whole week we were there. Over the course of the week, the glue traps caught literally hundreds of crickets. We were hoping that God would send the plague of frogs next, just to eat all the damned crickets. 3 of the 4 bedrooms and a second TV room are in the basement. No one would want to sleep or spend time down there.
