Modern living in a stylish, renovated half-timbered house

The "MoMa am Dom" is over 300 years old half-timbered house, which was in 2013 painstakingly restored and now combines historic ambiance with modern comforts.
It is equipped with a mix of old and modern furniture and contemporary art. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is available: LCD TV, WiFi, small library, a well equipped kitchen, a large dining table. Nice dishes, glasses and cutlery are abundant.

Active this is an ideal starting point for trips to Bonn, Cologne, Koblenz, the Ahr and the Siebengebirge. At the same time you can unwind in the rural environment and the pleasant atmosphere of the house and the small secluded-proved.

Kurzes Wochenende mit der Familie

Ein sehr schön, mit viel Liebe restaurierte Fachwerkhaus. Optimal für acht Personen. Es ist alles sehr gepflegt, so dass man sich direkt wohl fühlt. Der nahe Rhein lädt zu Tagesausflügen ein.

Das Beste von Neu und Alt

Das Haus ist wunderschön, genau wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Eine tolle Mischung aus historischem Bauwerk mit modernem Komfort. Während unseres Aufenthaltes hatte es jeden Tag über 30 Grad und es war eine Wohltat, dass sich das alte massive Gemäuer viel weniger aufheizt als neuzeitlichere Gebäude. Besonders genossen haben wir auch den Garten, in dem man herrlich die Abende verbringen und den Sternenhimmel genießen kann. Kleiner Wermutstropfen war die Straßenlaterne, die die ganze Nacht in die vorderen Schlafzimmer scheint, welche man nicht richtig verdunkeln kann mit den vorhandenen Rollos.

Alles hervorragend

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, gut ausgestattet, bietet genug Platz, hat eine schöne Sitzecke im Garten. Sie liegt im idyllischen Ortteil Scheuren, direkt neben dem Scheurener Hof mit nettem Biergarten. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder

Rundherum gemütlich und schön

Im Haus Moma am Dom(damit ist nicht der Kölner Dom gemeint, sondern die Kapelle gegenüber) haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Kombination von Altem und Neuem - alles sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll-, der Garten, der bei dem tollen Wetter zum Drin-Sitzen einlud, die schöne Stadt Unkel mit der tollen Lage am Rhein, die Erreichbarkeit von interessanten Museen: das alles hat zu unserem Wohlbefinden beigetragen. Gerne wieder!

Außergewöhnlich schön restauriertes Fachwerkhaus

Das alte Fachwerkhaus ist sehr liebevoll renoviert und wir haben uns von der ersteren Minute an absolut wohl gefühlt! Für alle, die die Ruhe lieben und Wert auf eine gemütliche, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Unterkunft legen, können wir die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen! Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren!

Eine tolle Unterkunft für ein wunderschönes Freundinnen-Wochenende

Dieses Haus hat einen ganz eigenen Zauber: viel Kunst in den Räumen und dem schönen Garten, eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre, großzügige Raumaufteilung und dabei vollständig und liebevoll ausgestattet. Es gibt ausreichend Platz und genügend Badezimmer. Wir fanden zudem reichlich Informationen über den reizenden Ort Unkel und die schöne Umgebung. Frau Steffens und ihre Tochter haben immer umgehend geantwortet, uns unkompliziert und sehr freundlich empfangen, so dass wir uns durchweg sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Wir, das sind sechs Freundinnen Anfang 50 bei einem unserer jährlichen Treffen. Es ist ein herrlicher Ort, um lange zu sitzen und zu reden, gemeinsam zu kochen und durch den Ort/am Rhein zu schlendern oder einen wunderschönen Teil des Rheinsteigs zu wandern. Man merkt, wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im MoMa am Dom - vielen Dank!

Hilfreiche Vermieter, schöne Unterkunft!

Die Vermitet sind sehr hilfsbereit; das Haus ist vollständig und geschmackvoll ausgestattet, bzw restauriert/modernisiert. Scheuren hat einen kleinen alten Dorfkern. Unkel ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ebenso der Bshnhof und die Rheinpromenade. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wunderschönes Familienwochenende in Unkel

Wir haben mit acht Erwachsenen ein sehr schönes Familienwochenende in dem perfekt restaurierten, alten Fachwerkhaus in Unkel verbracht. Die große Küche mit dem schönen, großen Tisch war perfekt geeignet, um nach einer Wanderung gemeinsam zu kochen, zu essen und anschließend noch einige Spiele zu spielen.

We hebben 6 fijne dagen gehad in het vakantiehuis. Een heel mooi en comfortabel huis. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien. Kortom, een echte aanrader voor een vakantie in het Ahr-gebied.

Lovely Property in Charming Unkel

Well furnished, roomy, with attractive artwork throughout the home and convenient to walk into Unkel for restaurants, and sightseeing. Very comfortable as a headquarters for a family and friends reunion. The large kitchen is a great gathering place! You do need a car to get around, and to get to the grocery stores which are not within walking distance. There is a train in Unkel, so public transport to the airport is possible. For visitors from abroad, note that the property is set up for German guests, who normally bring their own linens, so towels and bedding are charged separately per person. Beds are comfortable, back yard is lovely, bikes are there for use ( we didn’t use them) and the loft with twin beds is charming, but not recommended for older guests since the steps are steep! Note if you are paying via a USA credit card, the owner’s bank passes on conversion charges. Not a big issue, just something to be aware of. The host is responsive to queries, and although they were on vacation, and not available to show us around, the designated “ welcomer” Brigitte was great. We would stay here again if we were to return to the Rhineland. The Barnes
