Beautiful cabin in a great location. We loved the layout of the house with plenty of room for our family to spread out and have our own space as well as plenty of space to make memories. The creek bed provided hours of fun for the kids to play in and the fire pit was relaxing after a day of adventuring at nearby sites.
This is a great house off the beaten path. Well supplied kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Beds were comfy. Very cozy house to relax in for a few days with family. There's lots of land to go explore as well, we had fun wandering through the woods.
We loved the property! 5 women met here to attend a family reunion in the area. We found the accommodations perfect for us and some family members to come hang out for additional visiting. While this is set up for hunting, it served us very well. The one disappointment was the wifi barely worked and two of us needed that for last minute deadlines. If you are able to fullydisconnect it is perfect.
This house worked great for two families for the weekend! It’s a short drive to town and convenient for both the lake and River. The kids brought balls and enjoyed volleyball and soccer in the large flat yard!
It’s in the woods so we used a lot of big spray, but that’s expected. Owners were very responsive via text and helpful. We would love to stay again in the future.
This was a wonderful place nestled perfectly in the woods. The property was well maintained and the house was absolutely beautiful!! My wife, my mom, and our two sons and their family was with us. We had our annual family reunion in Van Buren. We all had a wonderful weekend!!!
The location is somewhat remote and consequently very quiet and private. Loved that. Cell signal was intermittent and there was no television, no DVD player which forced the family to actually spend time together playing games and talking. Glad we did it.
Property was in decent order and repair, although there were no trash bags or toilet paper.
Inside the home was a little dirty but overall fairly clean.
Internet is EXTEREMELY slow, mostly unusable.
If I could tell everyone to just go stay here by yourself or with people you love. You actually get the connection of your soul and the good in others. The one place to awaken your real life.
I love this place it's gives me perspective every time I visit. I highly recommend for anyone and everyone. Could possibly be the best kept secret!
It was a great time. There was plenty of space for everyone and everyone had an amazing time. We had a power issue but the owner was out to fix it so no real problems other than waiting a few hours to take a shower. Great place!
I had no problems at all with the rental process, the house was as it was stated. It was clean and beds were comfortable, plenty of kitchen stuff for cooking. Loved the front porch, I guessing they are going to screen in the back porch the fans were awesome.
Beautifully situated on a private wooded lot of n a quiet farming community. Home was tastefully decorated for the season. Kitchen is large and well stocked with needed items to cook for a large group. We absolutely loved staying here!!
We loved our stay. Perfect get away for all ages who like the outdoors and nighttime bonfires and s’more.
We played softball and frisbee in the huge yard that was very well maintained!
Very spacious and perfect for us and our family and our four legged friends!
We really enjoyed our stay in Wayne County. The house was great and we loved the remote location. Don't know if it's your "thing", but I've never seen so many hummingbirds!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect and we enjoyed all the porches. Watching the blue birds and hummingbirds gave us hours of relaxing entertainment. We were lucky enough to see a doe and her two fawns in the back meadow.
The house is well stocked, clean, and comfortable.
Please Note:
The location is easy to get to. However, when approaching from the south, Google maps is off by about 1 mile. We ended up reading the mailboxes to find the location.
The house has a great flow. The back patio was great, we spent a whole night out there. The kitchen has plenty of plates, which is a plus as some cabins I have rented are sparse, but there was not a mixer for mashed potatoes. The dining room table sat 6 and we couldn't find the leaves. The owner said there wasn't one, but my brother said he thought he saw one under a bed, so who knows, lol. The laundry room was huge, big enough to put our dogs kennel in. The internet was almost obsolete, which was fine for us. They had 2 hummingbird feeders and I did see a couple of hummingbirds, but the feeders need cleaned. The downstairs shower was a little stopped up as the water came out in a little stream. I would definitely stay there again. Piedmont is not too far for groceries and there is a mom and pop diner that was yummy, Zephyrs. Beautiful area and very relaxing.
We felt right at home the moment we stepped inside the house. Such a gorgeous, peaceful location, and the house had everything we needed. We loved our evenings by the fire pit. We would love to come back again and stay longer.
If you're a Verizon customer, learn from my mistake and make a note of your check-in information before you get there rather than waiting until you arrive to it up; Verizon coverage is mostly non-existent in the area. Once we got in, though, the lack of cell service was a blessing. :)
Karen was a very helpful and responsive host. We'd definitely stay here again!
Very nice home, beautifully updated kitchen & baths
Secluded, quite and private, clear night you can see the milky way, but only 15 minutes to town. Having two refrigerators was great. Large covered deck and large fire pit are great places to gather your group outside and enjoy the wildlife, deer, eagles, turkey, etc. Plenty of things to do near by, fishing, hiking, canoeing, places to visi:t the Gulf, Peck Ranch, Falling Spring, Rocky Falls, Big Spring park.
