Bachelorette weekend

When we first got there a landscape crew was still there. Not a big deal except for one of them very loudly announced that one of our doors didn’t lock. I was very unhappy to find out the code to get into the house is extremely easy to guess. This is a huge safety issue. The “steps” to get into the house are poorly arranged boulders that are a broken ankle waiting to happen. All the doors were hard to open/close. The deck felt very unsafe. It was moving all around when we were walking on it. There is a board that is lifted right in front of the back door that one of us tripped on and nearly broke her neck. The lower level was musty and smelled horrible. We found a random puddle near the back door. The most dangerous thing was a very large tree branch that fell from one of several dead trees that are in the outdoor seating area. One of our party was outside when it fell but thankfully was not in that area at the time. Checkout is at 11:00 but what we assume is a cleaning crew showed up in a car and sat there and watched us around 10:00. I would not recommend this property at all

Good for groups, but best to BYO

We had a group of 15 gather for a fun weekend getaway, and while the outdoor space proved to be the highlight of the stay (the large deck, turf grass perfect for yard games, and fire pit,) the description varied a bit from what we found. There was sparse cutlery in the kitchen, but otherwise well stocked. There were also ants throughout the kitchen as soon as we arrived and throughout the weekend as there were large areas of crumbs under the fridge and along the baseboards. We couldn’t find a broom or cleaning supplies otherwise we would have tried to tidy this up. We were only supplied with maybe 7 bath towels, so not enough for our entire group. There was also a strong odor of cigarette smoke throughout the upstairs when we arrived despite this being a “smoke-free” property. Lastly, two of the boats provided had holes in them, and the kayaks were missing their paddles. We still had a great stay, but I would encourage the owner to update their description as well as tend to the boats for safety reasons.
