The property also includes a canoe and flotation devices. After a day filled with paddling, fishing, swimming, and more, you’ll find all the comforts within two bedrooms, plus a separate bunk house for socially distanced friends.

The house is equipped with a full kitchen with plates, pots and pans and basic cooking ingredients, a cozy living room with a fireplace, full tub/shower in the bathroom. Just outside the master bedroom, a spiral staircase brings you down to another room with a full/twin bunk bed and an additional queen bed. For another couple to enjoy privacy or social distancing, there is a separate bunk house with a bed and a sitting area that also overlooks the lake. The house sits feet from the shore. Enjoy the outside with a patio area, campfire, lakeside deck, or bench on the dock (removed in the late fall through early spring).

No jet skis are allowed on the lake and fishing is bountiful. Feel free to tie up your own boat to the dock. 5 day rentals can be done at Thompson’s lake marina, they will deliver.

Great spot, if you have a boat

The Good Nice accommodations, accurate to pictures on listing. Beautiful views out of the living room, especially sunset. Canoe available as well. Host was responsive when issues came up. The Not so good Nobody swam for the whole week. The water is only a foot or two deep for many yards. I wish there was more info about that. I know this body lf water has some level challenges, but we were bummed swimming wasn't really an option from the House. There is a beach down the road. The other disappointment was the proximity to the road, as the speed limit is 40-50 mph, and we could consistently hear road noise. If you have your own boat, this is a great spot for the week.

What a great stay!

Thank you so much for an amazing time. The house was perfect for our family. The little fenced in front yard was very convenient, I wasn’t sure if the bunkhouse had AC. It did. But we didn’t need it, we brought our kayaks and used the canoe that was there. The pond is beautiful and very shallow. It was perfect for fishing. We all caught bass from the dock and the kayaks. The kids were given permission from other houses on the pond to swim off there floating docks. The people who we met on the pond were so nice. The primary bedroom is on the first floor and the spiral staircase goes into the basement with the sliders to the outside. Although there was not AC in the basement, the fans and it being in a basement kept it very cool. I thought the staircase went upstairs to the primary not downstairs so I’m adding that. The place was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed. The fire pit was great. The grocery store was only 3 minutes away. The views of the sunset were some of the best I’ve ever seen. We really enjoyed our time. Thank you so much!

Wonderful Waterfront Cottage

We had a great stay on Tripp Lake. House was clean and well cared for and we were surprised and pleased there was AC in the main bedroom. The location was unbeatable — back door was literally steps from the lake and the lake was the star of the trip. We spent the day on the deck, on the dock, or in the water. Host was available and helpful. Would come again!

Let down

We liked the layout of the property. The couches were comfortable. We enjoyed the firepit. The carpet was disgusting. Kitchen was small. The bed in the guest house is in pretty rough shape.

Comfortable cabin on the water

The property is a quintessential Maine camp on the lake. Beautiful views of the water and cozy inside with an easy to use gas fireplace. Owners provide all the things you need for an easy stay away from home. The location is also very convenient to various areas in Southern Maine. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful view!

We all loved our stay at the cabin! The view out the back was beautiful! The owner was easy to reach and was willing to work with our schedule. We would definitely rent here again if we are ever back in the area.

5 Star Place/3 Star Experience

This place is great. 5 stars all around. Giving it 4 stars because the house next door had some kind of fire/low battery alarm going off all 3 days we were there. It was loud and unpleasant enough that two members of our party who were staying in the bunkhouse could not sleep and left early. Our host contacted the property owner but they lived 3 hours away and did not come up to turn the alarm off. When you expect (and would normally get) a nice tranquil spot, this ruins the whole experience. Would I rent from this place again? For sure, but this trip was really a downer due to the CONSTANT alarm.

About the host

Hosted by Mike Naimey

Host profile image
Aisha and Mike live in Southern Maine. We both grew up in New England and love the four true seasons and natural beauty that the State of Maine has to offer. We wanted to share our lakehouse with everyone. We have two kids that also enjoy everything this house has to offer.

Why they chose this property

We love the charm of this property. This property offers flexible sleeping arrangements and is perfectly setup for a day inside our out. A short distance from ski mountains, fishing, wildlife park, hiking, casino, and golf it offers endless enjoyment. Easy access a short distance of Rt 95 without any of the Sebago lake traffic is also a plus.
