Home size and location were gooOverall the location and home size worked for our families. The river access was great and the firepit and patio excellent. There was a nice flat space for boys to play in side. Cleaniless was not up to par: windows did not have screens and were dirty, toilet seat was broken and lid cracked, shower doors would not open or close easily. The hammock would have been nice but was really dirty and had beginnings of bee nest. The front porch needs a good powerwash. General maintenance and cleaning would make this an excellent property. ba. understand
Great property! Even though it is somewhat close to the main road you don’t notice the traffic. It was really nice to sit on the beautiful patio next to the river and listen to it flow. Is only 10 minutes away from shopping and 15 from the park. We’ve been to the area about a half a dozen times and this was our favorite spot we’ve stayed at.
Perfect location on a beautiful river. It snowed and the outside temperature was in the teens, but the house was nice and cozy and warm. Everything was very clean and well equipped. Our host was wonderful.
The home and the property is beautiful. The home is very clean and we had everything we needed as far as beds, blankets, toiletries, and cooking utensils. There is covered parking for cars, however, if raining, as in our case, you will get wet going to the car. The river is beautiful and sitting outside is very relaxing. Since it was winter, we didn’t really get to use it.
We decided to visit the Smokies for the first time and we were not disappointed in our cabin or this beautiful area. This cute 3-bedroom home nestled by a small river in the quiet and quaint town of Townsend was the perfect getaway for us. The house was fully equipped with a nice stocked kitchen, cozy fireplace, Wifi, and Roku for us to watch movies with our account. The cabin also included a start of items such as paper towels, toilet paper, and various other items that came in handy. The bedrooms were kept nice, and clean and the beds/sheets were clean and comfortable. There is a fire pit by the water that we unfortunately never got to use, but it is a nice touch to have. The walkways outside were well-lit at night. The area where the cabin is located is very quiet and peaceful. Townsend is a cute little town with very good eats, which by the way, is noted in a binder left in the cabin as a guide that suggests things to do and places to visit. I found that to be very helpful. There is a very close grocery store located in Townsend and a Walmart not too far away in a neighboring town. We had a very nice Christmas visiting this area and fell in love with the Smoky Mountains. I can't wait to visit again sometime in the future and hopefully stay in this lovely cabin again.
We used this cabin as a base to return to in the evenings after fishing in the national park only 12 minutes away. The fire pit was wonderful after a long day of hiking and fishing.
This cozy property was the perfect location between Maryville and Pigeon Forge. Situated on a quiet, flat road on the river, its so convenient (and a beautiful ride) to Walland or Townsend. The driveway is gravel and we were on a motorcycle, but its manageable. You can't easily ride under the shed portico but the RV/carport suffices, just a little tricky to turn around. The cabin has everything you need for a really pleasant stay but we spent most of our time on the deck and the new riverside patio. If you need modern decor and furnishings, this might not be the place for you - but we found everything, as pictured and just right for us. A few extension cords in the bedrooms would be helpful for bedside plug-in capability. While we were alone this trip, we were confident two couples would be comfortable, but the seating in the kitchen would be tight. Definitely want to come back to the beautiful setting!
Townsend is very nice. Lots of great places to eat in town. The house was just as pictured. A short ride to pigeon forge and lots of shops along the way. You won’t be disappointed.
The location and amenities of the house were perfect for myself and my grown children and spouses. We enjoyed hanging by the river at the fire pit. Nicely done fire pit. The location provided easy access to mountain biking, Cades Cove, river tubing and necessities. Would recommend this location for a great get a way.
Nice on the river. Host was very accommodating and responsive when messaging. Home provided bare necessities and was dated but we had a place to lay our head at night.
House is well laid out and very comfortable. Little things made a HUGE difference. TV had lots of choices, comfortable couches, automatic outside lights at night made it easy to get to the fire pit and mattress topper made this the 1st vacation without back and hip pain. Great location right on the river as stated in the description. Highly recommend.
I grew up in Tennessee and this was my first time back in 20 years. My husband and I and some close friends enjoyed just relaxing on the deck and listening to the Little River! The place was perfect and in close proximity to everything!
Far enough away to relax. We didn’t have cell service, which I was fine with. WiFi worked and we were close enough to civilization (in Townsend) that it wasn’t a concern at all. Would stay again.
My family stayed at the property for a week. Its a perfect house to get away from it all. The firepit is amazing right by the river. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and the beds are super comfortable. Its a bit of a drive to pigion forge but its on mountain roads. My boys loved playing in the river and catching fish. Perfect location to get away !
Townsend/Walland area of the Smokys is our favorite place to stay. Riverbend cabin was a nice home. Glad to have witten instruction for using the tv, for us technically challenged old people. Well equipped. We would love to come again.
We ended up getting home with one on the kitchen dish towels. Please let me know if its worth mailing it back to you.🙂
