Perfect Location

This property is in a great location. A few miles from Monarch for great skiing and plenty of trails for snowshoeing in the area. We also love the close proximity of Salida, our favorite mountain town. Beautiful accommodations and private hot tub cannot be beat!

Cute cabin!

Love the cabin! The hot tub was great (private per cabin) the bed was nice, spacious, and we loved the creek! Our only complaint was that this cabin was close to the highway so you could hear the semis. Also it was connected to the cabin right next to it separated by a door, which wasn’t really a problem for us but we set up our infant son in the second bedroom (the room that’s connected) and I had fears that our neighbors could hear him cry if and when he did... overall great place and we would go back!

Great place but be wary of hot tub use.

The place was lovely and 2 of the workers were nice, accommodating and helpful. The only fly in the ointment was that on the last day when we were leaving, the owner told us we had “wrecked the hot tub“. We had used it three times, but not in anyway dissimilar to our hot tub usage at many other places. We brought no food or drinks around, and we did not allow our children to jump in and out. However it was freezing and ice had frozen on the sidewalk where water had splashed out. He wanted to charge us $50 for misuse. Eventually he agreed not to charge us but was clearly very angry. So please if you use the hot tub be excessively careful about splashing water and make sure everyone takes a full shower before getting in. Dec 20, 2013

We are very excited to be the new owners of this incredible property! We have been exploring the Arkansas Valley for a combined 35 years and finally made Salida our home in 2014. From the moment we walked on the property, it was love at first sight. The beautiful groves of aspen trees and the vibrant creek running through the resort seem to perfectly capture the best of the Arkansas Valley. The chalets have a unique layout that creates an ideal atmosphere for socializing, relaxing, and enjoying the dynamic mountain energy of the property.

We both said, “This is my kind of place, I don’t ever want to leave!” It’s like a postcard. Our shared vision for owning and operating a resort took root. We are committed to creating a resort that centers around the guest experience and allows people to relax, rejuvenate & enjoy this beautiful valley. We are both very passionate about the great outdoors and are skiing, mountain biking, and whitewater enthusiasts. It is a dream come true to own a property that allows us to share this remarkable place with others. We hope you come stay with us and enjoy the chalets with your family and friends!
