Kitchen was well stocked. It was great for our family. Loved location of being on mountain. It was very hot first few days so we had the fans going. There were plenty of fans in the house. Liked open concept on first floor and master being on first floor.
This house served the four us perfectly. Old friends since elementary school, getting together to enjoy some high quality outdoors. The house was large enough for at least 2-4 more adults comfortably. Great location.
Fantastic rental, especially for large groups. The location is beautiful and the rental has everything you need. The views from the deck were incredible. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We had a great stay. We enjoyed easy access to all that NEK has to offer. We got a lot of riding in despite the soggy weather. The views from the house were awesome when the skies opened up. It was quiet and cozy. I would definitely stay here again.
Great spot for a group trip. Enough space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped to cook basic meals. The upstairs bedrooms were hot but a fan was in every room. Great location. Would definitely stay here again
Awesome property! My friends & I enjoyed our stay tremendously! Loved all aspects of the house/property. As stated above, looking forward to returning next year.
This is a great spot, walkable to the Burke hotel and easy access to Roly Grail. The house looks like it just had some major updates to the first floor, including a sparkling clean bathroom and new flooring. The bedrooms I would describe as slightly dated but comfortable. We would definitely come back!
The accommodations were nice. A locked shed was also provided for our bikes. Neighbor to the left was very nice. The steep back yard did not allow for family activities ie corn hole etc.
Great location and the house easily accommodated the 8 or us. We were there for mostly mountain biking and the occasional hike. It was a quick walk to the hotel where you can use the pool for $5. They had a nice selection of tea (we left some in exchange) and good quality cooking utensils. When we did have a question the response was quick. We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here with our 5 kids and my sister and her husband. The kitchen is very well equipped and set up nicely. Views are amazing. Trails are steps away. Plenty to do for everyone! We also appreciated the games and books for the younger kids. Would gladly stay here again!
We normally stay a bit closer to town for biking, but being up on the mountain was just as good if not better. We had six adults and four kids, and dogs and there was plenty of space. The layout was great for adults to hang out after the kids were in bed with a gorgeous view. Shed was plenty large to store our bikes. And the view is gorgeous! Cindy was so responsive and easy to communicate with. We would stay here again for sure!

Perfect house for MTB vacation
This house perfectly fit our needs. Seven adults plus one dog stayed here for a long weekend of mountain biking at Kingdom Trails. The house is adorable and cozy and has plenty of space for people to not be on top of each other. The back deck was a huge bonus - we spent most of our time at the house out there - the view is beautiful and it's so quiet. The house is on a quiet, private road which was also nice. Plenty of space in the kitchen. Loved the basement area with pool table and lots of games and puzzles. Highly recommend this house rental!

correct place.
Good view with this house and very good for many person love to play outside and inside. You can play pool when the temperarture is not good. Something very important to know. You need to come with beding and towel. Normaly is good to know before when you doing the reservation. I know that just the day before we come.
Wedding of a Family Member at The Inn at Mountain View Farm
We were invited to attend the wedding of two of our favorite people in the world, in East Burke, Vermont. We normally leave our dogs home but everyone who watches them when we travel was either in the wedding or invited to the wedding. This mountain escape allowed us to bring the dogs and hike with them each day. The property is perfect for families who love to hike, bike or ski. Cindy, I would like to thank you for making your property available to active people who love their pets. The groom loves to bike on the mountain trails. I am going to recommend your home to the newlyweds for future family reunions. Again, Thank you.
6 of us stayed at the Burke House a few weeks ago for a mountain biking vacation! The location is awesome, if you put the address in Waze it will bring you right to the house! Although I could not ride because of an injury, everyone else rode right from the house. A few great things about the house. 1. The view- absolutely phenomenal, such great sunsets 2. The kitchen- we brought our own knives because, well my husband is rather crazy about cooking, but the kitchen is extremely well stocked with very sharp knives! Also, the refrigerator had lots of condiments in it, kinf of like of you open it, leave it... which was awesome! Peanut butter was something we forgot, but there was some at the house! 3. The main floor is very spacious, lots of room to eat and hang out. 4. The shed for all of our bikes was great! So helpful that we could lock it up at the end of the day and not have to worry about it!
The only things that I can think about that we were slightly disappointed in ( but not so much that we wouldn't stay here again!) There is really no yard. We brought yard games with us and did not use. The yard is really a steep hill. And the week we were there it rained 5 days and the basement was very musty. We pulled out a dehumidifier but it didn't really help all that much! That's it, really. Mostly, my husband left his work iPad there and the hosts, Cindy, were beyond helpful with finding out if it was there and getting it back to us!!! We will likely be back, especially since we can bring our dogs!!!

About the host

My parents built this house as their dream home. This is where my mom and dad retired to in the 90's. Our family has enjoyed this house for years and continue to do so when we can. We are a family of five who have deep attachments to the house. We enjoy sharing this with our children. My mother still lives at the property. When she rents the home out she visits with family. During the winter months the house is often blocked for our family to enjoy. We enjoy sharing the home with others. It is our getaway and when we are unable to use the house we like to share our piece of paradise with others..
Why they chose this property
My parents decided to build the house on Burke Mountain because we all fell in love with the charm and beauty of the area. They thought the skiing at Burke was unique with the trails through the woods. When you arrive in the Northeast Kingdom you feel as you have stepped back in time. The people are friendly and there is a since of community. My mom lives up there in the house most of the year and she is well looked after from those living up there.
What makes this property unique
Feels very homey and comfortable. Amazing Sunset views.
