About this property

Mt. Harvard Chalet at Creekside chalets

Mt. Harvard is one of the more popular cabins among the families who come to visit us. This is due primarily to its great location close to the water's edge and the fact that there's a large grassy area in front that's a perfect place for kids to play. There's a large deck with seating for four next to the grassy area as well as a picnic table and charcoal grill. Just steps away, you'll find your private outdoor hot tub. Parking for two vehicles is available.

The cabin's interior has been lovingly decorated and furnished so that you feel right at home as soon you walk in the front door. There are vaulted ceilings in the living room as well as a 55-inch LED TV, DVD player, and gas fireplace stove. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, four burner stove and oven, utensils and flatware, crock pot, blender, toaster, and microwave. There's also a dining table with room for four and additional seating for two at the bar.

If you need to get online for something, you'll be happy to know that the WiFi service has been upgraded at the resort! The WiFi connection provides basic internet service with limited access to stream music & movies. The WiFi Instructions are provided in the chalet.

Mt. Harvard is located close to the waters edge and has a spacious grassy area to enjoy in front of the chalet. The kitchen is outfitted to prepare meals and the living room has a pleasant gas fireplace. Relax in your private hot tub and enjoy the beautiful aspen trees that surround you. This chalet has a 55' LED TV in the living room with a DVD player & a TV in the bedroom.

Electric baseboards and the gas fireplace provide heating in the winter while an evaporative air cooler keeps the cabin cool in the summer.

Great Cabin

The cabin was exactly as described. Well stocked kitchen, comfy bed with nice linens, lots of towels, our own hot tub and beautiful grounds! We hated to leave and hope to come back soon.

Quick getaway

We just wanted a nice cabin to get away for a few days. Creekside Chalets filled the bill perfectly. Maybe a little too close to the highway but we rarely heard traffic and it did make it convenient to getting into Salida. We loved our stay and staff were very friendly.

Nice Getaway!

Overall we were very pleased with our stay! The chalet was clean (the floors had a bit of debris, but there were a lot of fallen leaves outside) and comfortable. It was a beautiful, quiet spot. We travel full-time and generally work from wherever we are so our only complaint would be that there was no stable internet. We were unable to connect on our phones, iPads or computers and there is no cell service - so we ended up having to forgo work for the few days we were there. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect though, this is a wonderful spot!

Great property!

Our chalet was everything we needed for our family of 5. The kids loved the creek running nearby and the hot tub. You can hear traffic as the property is located right off of highway 50, but there is a tree line separating you so you don’t see all the cars and trucks coming down Monarch Pass. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

We are very excited to be the new owners of this incredible property! We have been exploring the Arkansas Valley for a combined 35 years and finally made Salida our home in 2014. From the moment we walked on the property, it was love at first sight. The beautiful groves of aspen trees and the vibrant creek running through the resort seem to perfectly capture the best of the Arkansas Valley. The chalets have a unique layout that creates an ideal atmosphere for socializing, relaxing, and enjoying the dynamic mountain energy of the property.

We both said, “This is my kind of place, I don’t ever want to leave!” It’s like a postcard. Our shared vision for owning and operating a resort took root. We are committed to creating a resort that centers around the guest experience and allows people to relax, rejuvenate & enjoy this beautiful valley. We are both very passionate about the great outdoors and are skiing, mountain biking, and whitewater enthusiasts. It is a dream come true to own a property that allows us to share this remarkable place with others. We hope you come stay with us and enjoy the chalets with your family and friends!
