The studio is attached to a magical beautiful Victorian House, designated by the City of San Diego as an historical site. It's completely independent and has its own entrance. All areas including the outdoor amenities and tub are for your exclusive use, no oner else has access to them.

Within minutes to San Diego’s Finest restaurants, bars, shops, Balboa Park, Museums, Theaters, Balboa Golf Course and many other attractions. Beautiful Little Italy is only blocks down the street. Should you choose to stay in, for a relaxing night of grilling or cooking at home you will find within a few minutes Whole Foods, Vons, Ralph's Trader Joe's, The charming Little Italy farmers market on Saturdays and more; Within a five minute drive you will be in The Convention Center, the famous and beautiful SD Zoo, Downtown San Diego and the exiting Gas Lamp District, the Airport, Seaport Village, Petco Park (home of Padres baseball team), Embarcadero, Fashion Valley mall, North Park, Qualcomm Stadium, historic Old Town, the Marina, and many of the best restaurants, nightclubs, bars and sites in beautiful San Diego, American Finest City. The Zen Garden is one of the most relaxing areas of the place, close your eyes and enjoy the sounds of nature, grill, or just sit and read a book and enjoy a glass of wine in the beautiful private backyard. In sunny San Diego, nothing is better than barbecuing right by the garden; this area is equipped with a grill, dining table, hot tub and more outdoor amenities. No one else has access to this area but you.

A bus stop is available very close to the house and the trolley station is also minutes away. A few blocks from the house you will find amazing Balboa Park and it's dog park for the fur babies to enjoy.

Outstanding in all respects

Ricardo was thorough and rapid in his communication, guest parking questions answered immediately, check in process was as smooth as it could possibly be. Love love LOVE this little oasis in Hillcrest! Decor, amenities, everything was there, AC worked beautifully, and love the little patio and hot tub right outside our room. If I had to provide one suggestion, a small, narrow cabinet for folded clothes might improve the already perfect stay. We had family visit multiple times over the week and everyone loved sitting out on the patio and in the room. Will absolutely stay here every time we come down to SD to visit fam.

Wonderful place to stay!

I could not have asked for a better place to stay in San Diego. Location is perfect - close to everything, but quiet, and safe. The apartment is very clean, very comfortable, with many thoughtful touches. Ricardo was responsive and helpful with questions. I would not hesitate to stay in the Zen Villa again.

Peaceful Bankers Hill Oasis

I thoroughly enjoyed my 18 night stay at Ricardo‘s lovely Zen property. Offstreet parking, lovely studio with whole kitchen, hot tub in a lovely area of Hillcrest’s Bankers Hill. Ricardo is the consummate host and was prompt in his responses to my inquiries. His suggestions for dining and activities were lovely. I especially appreciated the serenity of having a Calm Oasis during my stay to sort my daughter’s medical issues. You will not regret staying here! 💜

Great getaway!

As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe here. The hot tub was clean, and the studio was spotless inside. The fenced in yard was private and perfect for my dog. Everywhere I wanted to go was just a short drive away. Ricardo gave several suggestions on where to eat and what to see, and was very responsive when there was a maintenance issue, having it fixed asap. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here!

Great Staycation

This was a nice little oasis for a getaway with my partner and pup! Check in and check out were so smooth and easy, it allowed us to enjoy the property and local area. Ricardo was a gracious host and was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely go back and look for more of his properties!

Little Shangri La

It all started with the amazing host Ricardo, who walked me through my first Vrbo booking. I’m in the travel business and know the horrors of travels. Ricardo was gracious! The property surpassed our expectations on pictures. Firstly, it’s minutes from all the hot spots, the unit was spectacularly decorated by someone who had taste., but it’s all the little things that you would not think of and need when away from home. It was valentines week, we spent it at the unit because it was so romantic. They had little electric candles, coffee, babywipes, bath robes you would find in luxury hotel, and more. It was quiet, private, and mostly extra clean! We were sad to go home. Our relationship ticked up a couple notches by this stay. Thank you Ricardo!

Perfect little home

I didn't need a whole house, just me and my dog. We enjoyed the studio and yard tremendously, the location and quietude was just as advertised. Everything I needed and more. Thoughtful hosts, super private and even the neighboring guests were beyond respectful. I will definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful!

This was our second visit to San Diego and we loved this spot last year so felt lucky to find we could stay at this location again this year. The location is just perfect! Many restaurants, bars, coffee places close by. My husband, dog and I walked all around the neighborhood, Balboa Park and Little Italy. Any drives were still close by. The neighborhood itself is very quiet and safe. The place was very clean, well stocked of supplies and even decorated for Halloween! Ricardo was an amazing host in making sure we were ok and to let him know if we needed anything. Thank you Ricardo for giving us another wonderful place to stay on our vacation and making us feel welcome! Book this place! You will not regret it :) Deanna

Another fantastic stay at Ricardo’s property!

This is our second stay with Ricardo, property is in a great location, fairly priced and Ricardo always delivered friendly, timely and efficient communication. The unit was exceptionally clean, nicely renovated and the hot tub is a major plus! Ricardo extended our stay with ease (upon short notice). Hope to make this our usual spot for all work trips to SD.

A quick getaway

The studio was very large , spotless and had everything needed , including the washer and dryer . The property was very private with a lovely comfortable outdoor space that provides both sun and shade . Ricardo was extremely kind and attentive . I would highly recommend a stay here .

Private retreat with everything we needed

My husband and I booked this property for a week getaway and we were thrilled with everything about our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and walking distance to tons of restaurants and it’s a very short drive to Balboa Park, making it easy for us to get around. We had everything we needed on-site. The patio and hot tub area is private and perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities. We were so pleased to find a full washer and dryer on site as well - nothing better than coming home with a suitcase of clean clothes. This property is without a doubt a much better value than a hotel room, and we would love to come stay again in the future.

Another Fabulous Stay!

We have stayed at this property before in another unit. That unit was not available this weekend, however Rick was very prompt in offering us to stay in this unit. This unit was just as wonderful! The home was super clean with a lot of wonderful thoughtful touches like hand sanitizer and bottled water in the refrigerator. It was just my dog and I this weekend. We were out here to relax, enjoy the city and catch up on some work. The location is close to everything! We enjoyed many long walks by the harbor. We went to Coronado Dog Beach every morning. We even visited a really amazing local dog bakery! The other thing I love about this place is even though you are located next to everything it is so quiet, private and peaceful. I would highly recommend this place! We will definitely be coming back for another visit!

Beautiful Property about two miles from Gaslamp District

My husband and I visited my two sisters who live in the Gaslamp district over Thanksgiving weekend. We found this property and fell in love with the pictures. Once we booked, Rick emailed us instructions for check-in that were very easy to follow. Upon arrival into the backyard, we were stunned by how a place in California could feel so private. When we walked into the door, we were greeted with a clean, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. It was literally the perfect property for the two of us and our dogs. I feel as though every detail was thought entirely through. There were robes available for use in the wardrobe; the towels are so soft and fluffy, the bedsheets smelled as though they had just been placed on the king-size bed right before we walked in (and let's be honest, nothing beats the feel and smell of freshly cleaned sheets). Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay in this beautiful VRBO. We appreciate it, Rick! -Ashley

A great staycation for me and the wifey

It’s always fun to go explore new areas and be close by but to enjoy a nice hot tub along with that and have privacy and a great weekend? This is one of those places! We loved staying here and Rick made some great accommodations for us to stay at this area last minute and we could not have been happier! Quaint little spot and another weekend filled with amazing memories!
