The cottage was very nice on a beautiful lake. Lots of beds to choose from, two walk in showers and a tub. Great living room and decks that wrapped around the house. We visited many many local restaurant and bars and ate lots of delicious fish. Access to the lake is difficult. Only two of us were able to get down to it. That was my only disappointment. So no boating or swimming for us😢
with great food. Ate lots of delici
Perfect. This VRBO is clean and cozy and has everything we needed. Charming is the word. I did not want to leave. The setting is gorgeous. View of the lake and lots of land and trees. Inside the house is so welcoming. Rustic charm. Loved it. Will go back.

We had a lovely getaway at the Chalet. We would love to come back. Thank you, Inge for sharing your beautiful home with us. God bless.
My parents, friends and I stayed here during Cranberry Fest, and we loved it. It has everything you need and very spacious. My mom is in a wheelchair, and they have a ramp coming into the cabin and a bathroom that worked perfect for her. I would love to stay here again. You couldn't ask for a nicer owner.
Great location - lakefront with a canoe and row boat for activities, upper and lower bonfire areas, large grassy areas and a wraparound porch make for ideal outdoor hangouts. Property owners walked us through different visions and additions they had planned for the future, definitely coming back.
Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The house has everything you need. Clean and comfortable. The rowboat and canoe were great. Rick was helpful with answering any questions we had. We would definitely go again.
We enjoyed the chalet with family while making it a home base near a multi-generational family cabin - extending our ability to visit with our ever-expanding clan. The porch and balcony have a nice high view over the lake and was large enough for an outdoor bbq for all. It is well placed near Eagle River for supplies and shopping. We hope to be back next year!
We had a great time. The lake is beautiful- on the small side so quiet with plenty of wildlife. This was probably the best property we have stayed at for bringing our dogs. Great kennel area as well as a yard to romp in.
I rarely post a negative review but others should know about my experience with this rental. The cabin itself suffers very badly from deterred maintenance ranging from broken toilet seats and dripping faucets to a broken washing machine that needs to be filled by hand from a laundry sink. There were mice in the house and mouse dropping everywhere from the kitchen countertops to the bathroom towel shelves. I caught one in a trap and left it as evidence for the owner. There was also an infestation of small, creepy crawly inch-long caterpillars that were all over the floors, furniture, and countertops. The entire house reeked of dog odors and almost every door, chair, or inch of wooden molding within a big dogs reach has been chewed or clawed. We like dogs but we don't like sleeping and eating in a kennel. Upon the day of our arrival a new access road to the cabin had just been bulldozed into place. From all but one direction from the cabin we had views of 12-foot tall mounds of sand, piles of tree stumps and pine logs, a road grader and front-end loader. My wife thought a better a more appropriate name for this rental would be the “Sand Mine.” As a VRBO rental, this was a totally unacceptable experience.
Plenty of room for a large group. Loved sitting on the deck overlooking the pines, listening to the birds, watching the hummingbirds feast on the nectar and the eagles hunt. Rick was very attentive and timely in responding to our requests. Found a lovely bike trail from Conover to Phelps & lots of ice cream shops. Overall, a relaxing time!
This chalet is awesome! Private and a beautiful setting on the lake! It was equipped with everything we needed and it’s dog friendly! Our little Aussie had an great time too!
I was looking for a place to stay in the north woods that allowed pets and found this great little spot. Our dogs really enjoyed the deep grass of the back yard for running and playing. Also, I took the kids out for a little fishing on the lake in the included row boat followed by an evening fire at the shore in the fire pit. We had great access to our planned activities as well: renting UTVs at Trackside as well as visiting the excellent Bond Falls. I would highly recommend the Chalet and thanks so much to Inge for having us!!!
We loved the place. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and private. The cabin sits on a private lake with its own boat dock and had everything you could want for a week up north: fire pit, grill, working kitchen, plenty of parking, television and cable for the down times.
The place is 5 miles north of Eagle river so anything you could need was a quick run into town.
We loved the place and hope to visit there again.
It was a pleasure to use this Cabin, the owner Inge was kind enough to meet us at check in, if your looking for a get away from the chain of lakes but close enough to chime in, it's only 3 miles away. I even booked a slip for the night and walked to the chain of lakes to get some early morning fishing in on the chain. Now there is fishing at this property right off the dock or in the row boat Inge provided. I think that the total for my daughter was 58 small pan fish and 1 large mouth Bass right off the pier at the cabin. Simply put this place has old world charm, peace and quiet, all the amenities that you could want to make those family memories...... when looking again in this area we'll be reaching out to Inge again......
It’s a beautiful location and house. The view of the lake through the pines is breathtaking. There is a small beach and pier and a fire pit near the lake. It’s at the bottom of a large hill. A wagon would help bringing your gear. We tied up to the dock and laid on raffs. The lake is perfect for paddle boarding, small and quiet. Weedy so bring your water shoes.
The house is charming. Stone fireplace, views of the lake, equipped kitchen and lots of sleeping space and deck space
Hope to come back someday.
The chalet was very nice. Overlooked a small lake which we enjoyed viewing from the wrap around deck. The owner, Inge, was very helpful and did drop by to provide life vests if we wanted to use the row boat. The fire pit by the pier was enjoyable with a nice view of the stars. Our family enjoyed our time at the chalet.
Great place for a family vacation with plenty of space inside and out to relax, a boat launch nearby, and close to Eagle River. There were even baby gates for the stairs, which we used to protect our elderly dog. We hope to return again sometime!
My family and I just spent two nights at this residence and had a nice time. The location is wonderful...very nice to sit on the porch and look out over the lake. The house is very comfortable, nicely appointed and the kitchen, though small, comes complete with a lot of items.
We were disappointed that the boat we specifically asked about being available, was not, though we were originally told it would be. This put a bit of a damper on the weekend.
We would recommend this property.
This place blew us away. From the charming thoughtful furnishings to the private lakefront fire pit by the dock, me and my friends couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. The fireplace here is spectacular. Nice touch with the cassette tapes and cds also. What a great vibe, thank you for letting us stay!
Six of us had a very comfortable stay, this house could easily sleep several more, though we filled up the dining table. We brought a canoe to enjoy the small lake, even caught a decent sized northern and many small pan fish. Owner was easily available by phone. The fireplace is an awesome asset and warmed us during a cool day.
This property is a great Northwoods getaway. The bedrooms were very large and easily accommodated our party of 6. I would love to come back in the summer and enjoy their access to the lake.
