Beautiful Condo, Warm Pool and Gracious Hosts
It was a dream throughout the whole process of booking, staying at and then (sadly) departing our new favorite place to stay, on the peninsula. Andrew was extremely friendly, helpful and responsive to any questions we had. If you ever stay here, you will NOT be disappointed!

Wonderful property and location!
We had the pleasure of staying in the condo for a month. As soon as we opened the door we said ‘we’ll be staying here again’. The condo is bright and spacious, the kitchen is well appointed with everything you may need. Easy access to the pool, breezeway and beach. We enjoyed the bbq and sun on the balcony and viewed many sunsets from there. Andrew was always available to answer any questions. We look forward to returning!

Beautiful, spacious condo on a quiet beach - Perfect!
What a beautiful, spacious condo on a gorgeous, peaceful beach. It's a small, 3-story building set around a small breezeway with a pool in the middle; it reminded me a little of a Spanish Melrose Place(!) - very quaint and neighborly. The unit was beautifully furnished and well equipped. And the owner was great - very helpful and willing to answer questions about the area and things to do. I would definitely recommend this condo and would stay there again.

Belleair Beach Love Story
This property and owners exceeded expectations! The location at the beach and to everything you could possibly need was all within a 3-5 Mile radius. Also Very easy to have things delivered from multiple stores via SHIPT and Amazon.. Great walkable clean and beautiful beach! Never overcrowded. Belleair Beach is “private” so it is well maintained and perfect for guests who don’t want crowds or be at the party scene. The condo had EVERYTHING possible. The kitchen was completely stocked with the tools you need. Great appliances, beautiful dishes, storage, extras of commonly used products. Comfortable beds! Great TVs! Full closet of beach gear. Beautiful main area sitting room. Colors and decor very tasteful and very clean. I miss 206 already - would rent again in a heartbeat. Met a few great owners in the building who were just wonderful people. Thank you to my awesome hosts, Andy and Dana.

Beyond expectations
Typically leary of staying some place w/ no review, went w/ gut and booked anyway. Great decision as hosts, unit and location all exceeded expectations. New owners to this unit but experienced hosts could not have been more accommodating. Attentive to a few special needs and offering guidance to local attractions added to the quality of our stay. The unit offered anything and everything we required for an extended 2 month stay with plenty of storage for all of things we traveled with as well. The beach was quiet, private and miles of nice white flat sand great for running. The most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. Booked a return during the first few days.

Wonderful cabin on top of a mountain
I can't not say enough great things about this rental. The cabin was cozy and clean. The view was spectacular. Andrew was very helpful with our stay. We came for 5 days to see the solar eclipse. The view from the cabin was perfect so we were able to snag some great photos. There are a few nice hikes in the area and Franklin is a cute town. We were able to see a lot of wildlife. This cabin made the 9 hour drive well worth it!

Highly recommended!!!!
What a great experience! I have spent a lot of time in North Carolina and this time rivaled the best. This is in large part because of this cabin. The views were impeccable. The cabin was secluded enough but yet close to town for the convenience. It was spacious, cozy and clean with all the home amenities you need. It rained but the covered porchs kept us outside and enjoying the weather. In closong, I would and will recommend this rental for anyone looking for a great experience with a great view!

Loved the Solitude
We were celebrating our 49th anniversary and we loved being alone with no cell or nabors. The only thing we wished for was a hot tub.I realize the upkeep because we have one at home but being on the back porch in one would have been glorious. The view was beyond gorgeous. Thank you for sharing Rue Bearadise.

Absolutely Perfect!!
Everything about this cabin is perfection!! Andrew was a pleasure to work with and made the booking process so refreshingly easy. He was very attentive and was always quick to respond if I had any questions before arriving. In addition, he followed up once we arrived to make sure everything was ok, which is a very nice gesture. The cabin itself, as my review is titled, was absolutely perfect!! We have stayed at quite a few cabins in the mountains but this one was special. The view is absolutely amazing and sitting on the screened in porch looking at that view was the epitome of relaxation. The inside of the cabin is beautiful as well and very clean with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had AT&T so no phone service but that made it even better to disconnect and relax. The cabin does have internet though so you don't have to totally disconnect if you don't want. Also, the cabin has a dog run on the side that is really handy if you have dogs. If you want a lovely cabin that is beautiful, clean, has amazing views, with a screened in porch to relax and listen to nature (and even see hummingbirds!!) then this is the place for you. We didn't want to leave and all came back so relaxed. We even tried to do video on our phone from the screened in porch to try and capture the peacefulness until we can get back to this cabin again.

Peaceful Relaxation
My husband and I try to visit family once a year in North Carolina. It was only about three years ago did we start renting a home verses staying in a hotel with 2 dogs. This is the first time we have stayed in this log cabin because the home we had been renting the past two years was already booked. The pictures on-line looked amazing and the bonus was it's a dog friendly property. The e-mail responses from the owner, Andrew, were prompt and courteous. The booking process was expedient and the rental contract was clear and concise. We did have to make some amendments, as we have 2 small dogs vs 1 large dog, but Andrew was flexible and allowed for the necessary exception. When we arrived we were more than amazed at the beauty of the location. We simply had to sit in the vehicle, looking in awe at what we were going to experience in the week ahead; it was breathtaking. I should mention, the drive up to the property, although a bit challenging, was an experience in itself, nonetheless, worth the travel to get to the top. (I'm from New England but my husband lived in Franklin so the drive up was a joy for him) Peace, quiet, relaxing, no stress, no phone service(we have AT&T-the prominent service in the area is Verizon) and we cared nothing about being disconnected. We had everything we needed within our vision and the extent to which our hearing could pick up the sound of nature at its' finest. Then, we walked up the steps to the screened in porch, accessed the inside of the log cabin and found ourselves with only one word to say, wow! Although the pictures were great, seeing it for yourself it was even more beautiful because now we had the added experience of tangibility and the surrounding environment. There was nothing left to do but enjoy it. We had all we needed and so did the dogs. I could go on and on but then we would have a book to read. That is what I did while I was there. Sat on the back screened in porch, a book my hand, the warmth of the sun, a slight breeze passing through and the view of the mountains in front of me. There is no other place I would rather be. Hopefully, the next time we are able to visit family, this beautiful log cabin will be available. Thank you Andrew for knowing how to make people feel like they are truly home. Andrew called us while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed and to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We didn't get that message until we had service; but that's the kind of person he is

Impromptu Honeymoon
Due to Hurricane Matthew our wedding and honeymoon that was going to take place in Daytona Beach suddenly changed. We went from planning a tropical honeymoon get-a-way to a mountain hide-a-way. Rue Bearadise is a lovely cabin with spectacular views. We had a great time hiking to the nearby waterfalls and Wayah Bald. The owner was very responsive to an issue that arose. We hope to return next year.

Beautiful views from screened back porch and cabin is supplied with everything visitor needs.
We stayed from 9/12/16 - 9/17/16 and really enjoyed the cabin. It is one of the best supplied places we have rented with everything you need. We took our 13 year old Jack Russell with us and the fenced in lot off the back porch was great and made us feel safer when she went out. The drive up the hill to the cabin is challenging the first time but we used low range on our all wheel drive vehicle and took it slow. Watch out for the "official greeter" (Neighbor's Boxer) about 3/4 way up! He will come out to the drive every time you go in/out if he's outside!! A close trip up to Wayah Bald and the Rangers Outlook is well worth it on a good weather day. Steep gravel road but quite wide the last part of the climb. The cabin is well located for trips in all directions. We ended up in Highlands on several occasions which is worth a visit. For a nice relaxing get-a-way with great atmosphere and views, this cabin is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The master bedroom bed is huge! Just follow the directions provided and your stay should be great as well. Any questions and Andy is a call away. Hope to return again in the future. P.S. If the apples are in season, the apples on the tree out front are delicious. Jim Thompson - Providence, NC 9/24/16

Gorgeous, peaceful retreat!
My husband and I fell in love with the cabin the moment we arrived! It was meticulous and had all of the amenities we needed. The view from the back porch is spectacular! The owner, Andrew, is very helpful and responsive. We loved that it's pet friendly with a doggie door and fenced in area. This was truly the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Believe the good reviews- an excellent option in Franklin, would not hesitate to return
Stayed here for a week in August with my kids 7 and 9. We had a great time. The property is in great condition and very clean. We loved the view from the back porch. Air conditioning works fine. Kids loved the hammock and the board games, especially Operation. We used the charcoal grill twice, but the kitchen is fully equipped if you plan to cook. It has a dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. If you like dining out, Clayton GA just 30 minutes south has some attractive options. Good craft breweries in Franklin, Bryson City and Sylva. One night we watched a movie on DVD. If you are technology-dependent, there is WiFi for email, etc., but the internet is not super fast...now I'm just splitting hairs! The house is about a mile up the mountain on a decent gravel road. We had an all-wheel-drive crossover as our rental and it was perfectly fine. As long as the weather is OK, you should be OK with a modern car if you go slow. Traction control is the most critical feature for any vehicle you drive up. We saw deer and wild turkey on separate occasions driving in. When you leave, allow extra space in your vehicle to take your trash to the dump near town. Andrew the owner was very accessible via text or phone. I have family in the area and they were very impressed with the place and they plan to suggest it to any out-of-town guests that they expect in the future.

This place is amazing!!
First of all I am definitely planning on coming back here. If you are looking for some fabulous views of the mountains this is the place. You feel so close to nature, and the sounds from the forest are amazing. The road is a little steep coming up here, but it is worth it. I spent every sunrise and sunset sitting on the porch with the hummingbirds. Plus the photos that I got of the storms rolling in during the afternoons are irreplaceable. My kids loved it too!! We had a few rainy days, but no worries. There were games and enough Rock Band to keep even the 12 year old from saying "I'm bored". We booked this cabin at the last minute, and Andrew was very prompt and professional in arranging our visit.

Unexpected luxury
They view blows you away as you pull into the cabin location. You travel up twists and turns on a gravel road and then....there it is- a stunning overlook of the mountains. The location is super quiet and private even though there are houses nearby, but you'd never know it. The cabin itself is pristine and everything is in perfect working order. There's even a hammock for relaxing on the screened-in porch where I am writing this review right now. There are trails to walk right off the cabin. While here we went zip-lining, antiquing, and even went to a ruby mine. we'd been here three days and finally noticed the great apple tree! You get caught up overlooking the mountain you forget to look up close. Can't say enough about this piece of heaven.

We didn't like it. We LOVED it!
The pictures do not do this cozy cabin justice. If you are looking for a private mountain escape with an AMAZING view this is the place for you. The cabin is super comfortable and quiet. We planned on all sorts of activities in the area but ended up napping and reading and relaxing. Everything you need to cook with is provided. The dog area is one of the better ones we have found on VRBO. It is easy to get to, secure and grassy. We stayed over the fourth of July and we treated to an amazing firework show viewing from the back deck. We typically do not stay at a cabin more than once as there are so many great ones to choose from but I think we may make an exception and head back to this one! The owner was easy to work with and very knowledgeable of the area - even if they are Gator fans! We can't say enough great things about this rental.

About the host

Hosted by Andrew Gotfried

Host profile image
We are two young families that live nearby in Tampa. The four of us went to college together and now have 5 teenagers between the two of us. Four boys and 1 girl. Two are in college with the other three in high and middle school. We all consider ourselves one big family. We travel and spend many of the holidays with each other.

Our families are particularly active. Our vacations usually involve a lot of running around and keeping busy. We've been to the mountains of Vermont, Grand Canyon, Florida Keys, Beaches of NW FL, etc. We have a lot of fun.

Going to the beach is one of the many things we have done over the years. We decided that now that our kids are old enough to be more independent, let's get a condo where we can all share and enjoy the evenings and sunsets.

Why they chose this property

Sereno Del Sol is a beautiful, well manicured condominium right on the soft sands of Belleair Beach, FL. It is very quiet and peaceful. There is a beautiful breezeway between the pool and the beach where we have plenty of large tables as well as lounge chairs. This is particularly great for those that want to go between the sun and shade. It also allows for a great breeze so help cool you down on hot days.

Belleair Beach is the beach community that is residential, with big homes as well as low rise condominiums. It is perfectly located near Clearwater, Clearwater Beach, Belleair, Sand Key and Indian Rocks Beach, which has all of the shopping and restaurants. Sand Key is a walk to the north and Clearwater Beach is a short trolley ride. Belleair is just over the bridge going inland, which is a 5 to 10 minute commute. Belleair is where you can find the Publix, arguably the best grocery chain the US. Indian Rocks Beach has great restaurants, such as the Columbia. The Columbia is a famous historical Spanish restaurant that everybody loves.

It's the perfect balance of a quiet beach community yet close to everything you need to be comfortable.

What makes this property unique

The property is on the sand and very secure. Entry to the property requires keys or codes. Not a large property, only 40 units and three stories. Concrete block building so it is very sturdy and quiet in each unit. The breezeway provides plenty of shade but is right next to the pool and beach.
