Once Upon a Tide - Destin Gulfgate 0404!

Come relax and enjoy the world-famous sugar white beaches of the Emerald Coast in this tastefully decorated condo. This 1430sq foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo features a 30’ private beach-front balcony, high speed wireless internet and free beach service March 1st through the Sunday after Thanksgiving. (Monthly reservations do not receive complimentary beach set-ups.) This spacious condo has a king size bed in the master bedroom with custom walk in shower in the attached bathroom. The guest bedroom is equipped with 2 queen beds. A sofa sleeper in the living room provides additional sleeping accommodations. The kitchen has been updated with new cabinets and counter tops. A full-size washer and dryer can be found in the laundry room. This condo has tile throughout common areas, with carpet in the bedrooms. A separate ice maker can be found in the wet bar. There is a reserved, covered, parking space in the garage.

Having the beach service included with our stay was awesome and made everyday stress free knowing that we already had a prime position on the beach. The pool at Gulfgate was great for both kids and adults. After hours check-in and check-out was super simple. We hope to one day come back!

Awesome condo!!

We were lucky to have picked a unit that was recently renovated and included a covered parking! The unit had upgraded bathrooms, kitchen appliances and had tasteful decor. Check in/out was a breeze and the front desk staff was very helpful. Special shoutout to maintenance guy Mike-friendly and helpful. Overall, very clean, organized, quite and great location. Will definitely come back.

You can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into how to make the condo wonderful. It was so convenient to relax at the beach, pool, and condo with our young children. The reserved parking spot for this unit is right by the beach so you can easily store your beach items in or by your car. We really appreciated that Destin Gulfgate set out a reserved beach umbrella and chairs for us everyday. This condo is perfect for a family vacation.

Perfect View

This is a beautiful condo just steps from the beach. It has everything you need for your stay and you can’t beat the view from the huge balcony. The kitchen is stocked, the linens are great, and the furniture is cute and comfy. The four of us fit more than comfortably and we had plenty of space. The best part was the view and the sounds of the waves crashing just feet from you! The only thing I would change would be putting black out curtains in the first bedroom. The windows look directly out on to the walkway which is lit all night long. It lights the room up and is a bit annoying.

We have loved Gulfgate for years, new $$$$ may be our last.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to the Gulfgate for more than 15 years. We have always had a good experience. Friendly staff, clean updated units and steps to the beach. We typically stay in the same room every year, I dropped the ball in scheduling this year and had to choose another unit. This one deserves a new couch/loveseat/sectional...anything but what is in there. Cushions were so bad they smashed down into the hideaway bed underneath. The ice machine and microwave didn’t work when we arrived but were repaired or replaced within a day. Maintenance, housekeeping and outdoor staff have always been more than helpful and pleasant. We always seem to arrive early and they do their best to get us in our unit quickly. In the past they have had a drink station on the pavilion, food trucks and activities (sand castle maker). We missed having those this year. We love coming here because we seem to enjoy a less crowded beach...we did notice this year the umbrellas were so close to each other they almost touched so it felt more crowded than in the past. Having said all of that, we were informed that the rates were going up for next year, almost double from what they were...every year we have from 8-10 units reserved for our big family vacation...for next year many family members have booked at another location. We will be sad if we don’t get to return here.
