A real gem! This is a fun place to hang. Super clean and quiet. The fire pit is a real bonus and the nights are beautiful under the stars. Very close to Cummins Falls which was an awesome adventure.
We will definitely go back and stay here again!
What a comfortable and clean place to stay! Close to Cummins Falls and the music festival we attended. We definitely used the kitchen-which had everything for our cooking needs. Grilled one night and ate on the gorgeous screened in back patio. Very peaceful setting and provided lots of room for our family. Very nice accommodations.
It was a perfect cabin a few minutes from family. It was great figuring out where the horses and donkeys were each time we came back to the cabin. Very comfortable stay would stay there again.
We really liked staying at Fairview. Location is perfect for us as family lives nearby. We enjoyed a fire and loved the spaces this place provided. Beautiful views all day.
Rustic cabin on a large farm is the perfect setting to relax, enjoy the horses & cows and sit by the fire and roast your hotdogs (don’t forget the s’mores), our 2 small dogs even loved it! Most enjoyable, hope to comeback.
This cabin is a true slice of heaven. We were greeted by the donkeys when we arrived and somehow they came and told us goodbye when we left. The property was well kept and relaxing. Secluded enough to escape reality but close enough to everything we needed. We loved the porches. So peaceful and tranquil, highly recommend.
Second time staying at this easy lovely log cabin. Love sitting on the porch and roasting marshmallows and feeding the horses and donkeys. I think the cows has as much fun wating us as we did them. Great host an experience. Tons of great places to eat in Cookeville, just a short drive away.
A hidden gem in the middle of a field in the middle of Tennessee. Very few things in life are perfect but this little cabin should have its picture next to that word in the dictionary. All the Comforts of home and believe me before you leave you will be calling it it home.
Thank you Mike for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.
We had the best time at the cabin! It was the perfect location to relax after busy days of visiting family. Mike was extremely helpful and checked in on us regularly during the winter storm. We will definitely be back!
Well thought out design and love put into the building of this property. Quiet area, cabin was filled with whatever you might need for a comfortable stay. Loved the three season porch and listening to the birds sing in the morning. Friendly horses and donkeys greeted us in the morning and allowed gentle petting. Close to town to get groceries, gas, most of what you would need to have a pleasant stay.
This was a great spot ! Wonderful host in Mike.
Everything was easy and enjoyable. We had fires in the firepit at night. Went to Cummins Falls, City Falls, Bee outlook for easy little hikes. Exactly the break we needed. AND the beautiful horses paid us a visit last evening. My son and I hand fed them carrots ! It was awesome !
Mike was wonderful to work with. We had some special needs and he was very accommodating. Really enjoyed rustic cabin and serene atmosphere. Our puppy enjoyed barking at cows. Cabin had everything we needed.
Great place to stay. I loved that it was so peaceful and away from everything but a 10 minutes drive to town. It has everything you need for your stay. The screened in back porch is a great place to enjoy the evening or even the front porch. Owner was great with communicating. Definitely one of my top 5 places to stay.
This cabin was an enchanting place! Mike has really utilized all of the space. There were 2 living areas indoors and a wonderful screened porch. There were lots of options for family members to enjoy both inside and out.
This was a breathtakingly beautiful location. The cabin was everything that was described and more. The chance to interact and feed the farm animals was an added bonus. Michael was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. We have plans to hopefully be back during the fall/winter season.
Fairview Cabin is a true gem! We had a wonderful stay in Cookeville at this perfect cabin. It's close to several waterfall hiking treasures and a has all the amenities for relaxing after a day of outdoor adventures. It's very spacious, even more than the pictures show. It offers many options for a family getting away together - everyone can visit together on the wonderful porches while also being able to spread out to watch TV or play games. The host was great and checked in to make sure we had what we needed. Would definitely rent again.
We wanted to get out of the area of our neighborhood for Fourth of July. Our neighborhood does the 4th with lots of fireworks days leading up and our poor dog was on the verge of a heart attack. I found Mikes place and it was perfect for what we needed. The pictures online don’t do it justice. It’s a very cute, comfortable cabin. We had the cows in the morning and the mini donkies at night. We spent one day at Waterloo which was beautiful. We did still hear fireworks so you are still closer to surrounding neighbors but it’s still really secluded. We all very much enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend!
If you’re looking for a place to stay in/near Cookeville, the search is over. Stay here. You won’t be disappointed! We loved every minute of staying in the cabin and on this property. The cows came right near the house and so did the horses and donkeys. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful everyday. The house is clean and cozy and the front porch was my favorite place in the mornings. Mike is super nice and helpful. We didn’t want to leave and hope to come back again. It won’t be soon enough!
Very peaceful stay at this cabin on the farm. Perfect place to unwind and recharge. We couldn't enjoy the patio as others have since the outdoor temps were chilly, but we made up for it spending time on the front patio watching a few beautiful sunsets. Sharing the property with the cows and horses was unique and enjoyable.

Staying in new to me places has always been something that I enjoy. Whether it be a family vacation or business travel, I know that the place where you stay can determine the success of the trip. We kept this in mind when my wife and I spruced up the cabin where we lived after getting married 20 years ago.
