Private, well appointed extremely clean, log cabin in Ellijay, on Tickanetley River.
Master bedroom in loft has full bath,1 king bed, and private deck overlooking river. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and one full bath. Large great room with fireplace, full eat in kitchen. Screen porch with rocking chairs and swing. Outside fire pit and easy access to river for great fishing. Located between 4 Apple Barns and several wineries 15 minutes to Elijah, 30 minutes to Blue Ridge, 40 minutes to Dahlonega.

Gateway to Heaven

No other way to describe this wonderful cabin...it is truly your gateway to a heavenly place. The cabin faces the Tickanetly Creek which has clear rushing water with deep holes where trout hide. The screen in porch was our favorite resting place. Inside, whatever supplies you want are available. The furniture is very comfortable. The master BR overlooks the creek offering a white noise throughout the night. Privacy abounds. This property must have 500 or more feet of creek frontage. All is quiet with absolutely no traffic noise. My wife and i have stayed in numerous beach and mountain rentals for the past 45 years. No doubt, this cozy creekside(more like a stream to me) ranks in the top 5. Finally, the owner is first class with special touches that will make you feel welcomed.

Perfect setting for us

Very quiet with nothing but the sounds of the rushing mountain steam. At night we turned off the AC and went to sleep, listening the sounds of the rushing water and enjoying the cool mountain air. Lovely setting, well appointed, and a very lovely place. Best fishing early, with water shoes and/or waders recommended.

Secluded and relaxing

Cabin was very secluded so it’d be a good idea to have a 4WD vehicle (which I do so no issue but for anyone else). Wifi works great at night but hit or miss during the day. Cabin is very nice and relaxing especially right on the creek/river. Everything you’d possible need is there and the host responds and communicates well. Plenty of dishes and cooking materials vs other cabins I’ve stayed in which was great to not have to wash the one pan over and over. Cabin was very comfortable and homey and again sitting on the porch listening to the river all day was great.

Awesome experience!!!

I wish I could have offered 10 stars on this vacation stay. It was perfect. The home was beautiful and extremely clean. The creek offered such atmosphere it was hard to leave. Anyone looking for a warm cozy and private get away in the Ellijay area, don’t over look this cabin. Can’t wait to return.

Cabin on the Creek

We were a party of five adults and the cabin was perfect for us. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch enjoying the creek. Particularly liked that the kitchen was well stocked and there was a washer/dryer.

Exceeded Expectations

This is a beautiful property that far exceeded expectations. It is RIGHT on the river and LOADED with all the supplies you could need. The only difficulty was navigating the steep driveway at times after rain. It would definitely help to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Cozy cabin !

We loved every second we were there . Our family trip was the best we have ever had . The house is beautiful and located in the perfect spot to relax and enjoy yourselves. Beautiful cabin!

We had a wonderful stay at this riverside cabin! As soon as we got of the car we heard the stream! The cabin is very cozy and comfortable. Kathy thought of everything from bug spray to bandaids and even extra rover shoes and towels. We absolutely loved sitting on the front porch in the morning and leaving the screen door pulled at night in the master suite while listening to the water. Perfect for a small family! Would definitely visit again!

Relaxing on the River

The cabin is adorable and in a wonderful location. The photos don't do it justice. We did short hikes to different waterfalls each day we were there, tasted wine at Cartecay Vineyards, went to Ellijay for lunch, met some of the neighbors, and just sat by the river and relaxed. It was perfect!

Weekend getaway

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend in the cabin. There was plenty of everything we needed! Loved the devotional book and stocked pantry. The swing on the porch got lots of use and we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit!

Rushing waters

The cabin was immaculate and very well appointed. Kathy was quick to respond to questions we have during our stay. We really enjoyed the screened porch, as well as waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of rushing water in the creek.

"GIRL'S LAND CRUISE"

Property and cabin were amazing. We couldn't take our mother on a birthday cruise so we did our "land cruise" in the perfect place. Owners have put so much thought into the entire vacation package, from comfortable furniture to providing firewood so you can get started as soon as you arrive. We all loved everything, expecially the rockers and swing on the screened in porch overlooking the stream, awesome!!!

Amazing, Tranquil Property!

WOW! What an amazing cabin and experience. The cabin is even more beautiful and tranquil than the pictures. As soon as you open the door to the back porch, you instantly hear the creek. The fireplace and the fire pit were perfect for February weather and the cabin is spacious, clean and has everything you need. We felt right at home and will absolutely be back! Thank you for everything!!!!

Quaint Creekside Cabin

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. It is right on the waterfront of Tickanetley Creek - a great little creek with productive trout fishing and we caught several rainbow trout in the backyard. It is very close (within 30 minutes) of a number of great hikes with beautiful mountain views and waterfalls. We hiked Long Creek Falls and Amicalola Falls ($5 entry). We also went mountain biking at Amadahy Trail -- a lakeside trail with great vistas that is also open to hiking. The cabin is also close to a number of apple orchards which are open at some parts of the year to 'you pick' apple picking. We enjoyed some hot mulled cider from the orchards each night around the fireplace. The house slept 6 people comfortably and the kitchen was great for cooking at home which we did each day. The porch was great for relaxing, reading, and drinking coffee each morning. We also enjoyed a bonfire outside on some of the chilly Fall nights! The cabin is close to other houses, but not too close to feel intrusive. Kathy was an excellent host and made check-in easy! She even left a small gift for my mom - who's birthday we were celebrating! Overall, this is a great spot and we would definitely recommend it to others (or return if we can!) Thank you!

BEAUTIFUL cabin! Enjoyed visit!

We work and live in a community that has a lot of hustle and bustle and were looking for a place to get away. We purchased this property sight unseen other than a video from our Realtor. The sound of the creek sold my husband and the beauty of the log cabin sold me. We have been blessed with this beautiful place and enjoy sharing it with others.

What makes this property unique

This property is in just the right location. Far enough out to be in the woods and enjoy wildlife, but yet, close enough for shopping, hiking water falls, mountain views, apple barns, wineries and water sports. The Tickanetley Creek is full of trout!
Sit on the porch or open the doors and listen to the water all day and night. The cabin is fully furnished including a complete kitchen with dishes and pots and pans. There’s also a washer and dryer. As the owner I clean the cabin myself. It’s very clean!
