Great - but...

Perfect for large families. Everyone had their own rooom/bathroom, which was great. Kitchen was overstocked with cooking gadgets, but no room to store food. (5 rolling pins?) We were all really looking forward to the hot tub after skiing, but it only was able to heat to 99 degrees, which made it completely unusable. A warm bath outside was not ok. Overall, we made it work and had a great time, but some upkeep is needed.

Beautiful home for a large family to stay together

We stayed in the beautiful home on a creek to ski Palisades and Alpine. It easily fit our family with teens and extended family. The kitchen and extra large dining table are great for meals and games. It has easy access to both ski resorts and to the Truckee river and west shore of the lake. Would for sure stay here again.

5 star at creek side

This is our third time and second thanksgiving at Creekside. We've made so many memories there and love accommodations as well as how quality your service is. We will book direct in future. The new floors and paint were great! I think that refrigerator door should get repaired. It's been tough all three times. Spa is fantastic. Maybe invest in a meat cooking thermometer and a keurig. But just love you all. Thank you!!

4 The Creek side house

The Creek side house is big and beautiful. Our family loved the creek and soaked in it after every hike. The sound of the water is lovely. The kitchen is well equipped, although some sharper knives would be good. The stove and barbecue on the kitchen deck are excellent. The dining table can host 14+ people for meals. There are 4 bedrooms and a loft and most beds are king sized. With a few improvements, we would stay there again.

Overall the house was really nice and has everything you need- but there’s definitely some updates that could be made, like the living room furniture and kitchenware

We loved the home, they had everything we could possibly need, hot tub is large and works well, the beautiful creek is right off the back patio area. Approximately 9 min to town and lake. We look forward to going back.

GREAT STAY

Amazing property, right next to the stream, very relaxing stay. The house is in good condition, the kitchen is spacious and everything was clean. Bring bug spray for the backyard during the summer though!

Beautiful snowy getaway

Loved our week here - location was great (close to Alpine of course but also easy access to Tahoe City and Palisades). The hot tub surrounded by snow with the sound of the creek right behind it was a huge hit for the family. The open kitchen/dining/living was perfect for us - we cooked up many meals, played board games, and enjoyed the Tahoe vibe. The views out the many large windows was spectacular. There was SO MUCH SNOW this year and we were grateful for the driveway being plowed but this usually happened in the late afternoon so plan on digging out the driveway to get your car out of the garage if you want to get out for the day. We had issues with the water heater not working but the property management team was responsive and excellent and my understanding is that the owner is replacing it so shouldn't be an issue for future stays.

Dirty, plumbing issues, and unorganized property management

My husband and I formerly held a ski lease with Tahoe Getaways, and continue to be disappointed in working with them. They are unprofessional, disorganized, their properties are dirty, and more often than not having serious issues with their houses (in this case the plumbing). The carpets were badly stained and the bedding that was on the beds hadn’t been washed. We found blood stains as well as a crusty substance on 4/7 beds. There were no dish towels so we had to buy some from Safeway. The tub water for 2 bathrooms never ran and made a loud screeching sound when turning it on but failed to work. There was hair and dirt in the showers and on the floors. The list goes on. When we reached out to extend our stay due to the storm, I didn’t receive a response for quite some time. After letting me know they had other guests that didn’t cancel the reservation, we decided to leave Saturday instead of Sunday and I let them know via voicemail. On Sunday I received 5 separate phone calls from their team - all who clearly hadn’t spoken to each other and had completely different messages for me. Some staff said that we could stay if we were still there because they hadn’t heard from the new guests, some staff said we needed to leave, but all staff clearly hadn’t taken any notes. Incredibly unprofessional and disorganized.

Creekside House in Alpine

We loved the multiple Master Bedrooms with bathrooms. House once was a beautiful home for sure. The home needs some upkeep and maintenance for sure. Also a good cleaning. The major surfaces were clean but it was very dusty and dirty beyond the kitchen counters. The creek in the backyard is a major bonus. We loved it big bring your bug spray. Inside the loft bathroom sink didn't work and had a major leak. 50% of the casement windows don't open. Missing screens on some that do. The master bedroom door handle comes off in your hand. Gaps in the wood floorings, BBQ is very dirty and the door is missing and laying in the corner of the deck and so on. Needs some love. Location is good close to the river and the lake. We had an amazing time.

Beautiful but….

Beautiful home with plenty of space for a large family, kitchen fully stocked, gorgeous view to the creek. Pros: each bedroom with bathroom was great. Beautiful view. Two dishwashers. Plenty of pots and pans and silverware. Plenty of drinking glasses Cons: lots of cobwebs. Lots of dog hair on carpet. Stains on carpet. Home could have been cleaner upon arrival Not enough towels. No extra linens Only real entrance to jacuzzi is thru the master bedroom down stairs Couches need to be upgraded. WIFI. We read that the WIFI was slow but didn't realize it was basically non existent Absolutely love the the house but had an issue with guest services about the cleanliness of the house.

Great Location and House with a Few Problems.

Just got back from a ski trip where we stayed at Creek Side at Alpine Meadows. The location is excellent, the house roomy enough for our party of 8. We also liked that each bedroom has its own bathroom. A few problems: cell coverage is poor (a cell phone booster would help) and the wi-fi set-up badly needs upgrading (we checked the serial number of the router, and it's 17 years old!). Also, we could've used more towels and there were no tissues provided. I know the rental agent says they disclose these things in the rental agreement, but still, for what we paid, these shouldn't have been issues. Seems a bit stingy to me.

Great Cabin but inflexible management

I stayed with a group of 7 over the weekend. We really enjoyed the cabin, with it's large great room and giant windows overlooking the creek. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and we appreciated that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The cell coverage is spotty and the wifi is very slow (~5 mbps) so it's not ideal if you are looking to work remote. Our challenges with management began with them not allowing cancellations due to the fires this summer (we were supposed to stay over Labor Day but had to reschedule due to the fires). But that was understandable and they clearly stated that in their agreement. Once at the cabin, they only provided 1 roll of paper towels and 2 small rags for the kitchen. When I messaged them about it, they replied that they expected guests to bring their own supplies beyond the 1 roll of paper towels. Given that we spent over $3k renting the cabin for the weekend, this felt stingy. We also weren't close to a store so it was inconvenient cooking and cleaning without paper towels or rags. Additionally, I asked for a 2 hour grace period for a late checkout, and they said that we would have to pay $100 for a late checkout. Once again, felt stingy and not accommodating.

Property management could be a lot better

1. Both trash bins were full and spilling over upon our arrival. As the garbage collection was still a few days away and this is bear country, we decided to load the disgusting trash into our car to take them to the disposal site, only to find that the one given in the instructions was no longer taking trash, therefore we had to drive farther away to the one at Cabin Creek. To be fair, the property management responded the next day to say they would take care of it and that it was not their usual practice, but it was not an ideal way to spend our vacation time. 2. The kitchen faucet broke off. On this incident, the property management did find a plumber to come out on a Sunday and fix it. Kudos to them. 3. Many amenities were not in working condition: the master bedroom's door handle fell off, the door to the backyard had no lock, a few drawers had no handles, the kid pool table leg was broken (they did put a warning sign though), many of the window/door screens are either broken or missing, so many bugs got into the house. And we couldn't open the windows even when it was very hot at night. 4. The bathrooms are very outdated. Despite all this, our family still had a good time in Tahoe at this cabin. But considering the nightly rate we paid for this, we would have expected the property management to be more on top of things. On the surface, the house looked great. But once you start looking at the details, there are lots of issues. They need to work on maintaining the property.

Enjoyable Stay

Home was roomy, clean and kitchen well stocked. We thought the view of the creek from the large window in the family room was really nice and it was pleasant to listen as well from the upstairs deck, open windows and downstairs patio and hot tub. There were several negative comments made about this place in the reviews but I did not find that any of them applied. Glad I did not pay attention to them. Also has a very nice location in Alpine and close to Squaw Valley Village.

Amazing Stay!

Great ski getaway with the family. Plenty of room for the three kids to spread out and attend online school in the AM and ski in the afternoons. Convenient location minutes from Alpine and Squaw. Kitchen is stocked with every appliance you could ask for and enough plates, dishes, etc. for big groups. Everything was really clean, beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had heated floors! (A nice bonus in the winter.) Only slight inconvenience was the speed and consistency of the wifi service. All in all, great place and I would definitely recommend.

Great home - generally very happy

House was fantastic. Only suggestions are: 1 - the whole TV setup was old, confusing and generally didnt work. 2 - cleaning crew should make sure the outside trash cans are empty before check in 3 - upgrade the wifi. it was not secure and kept dropping. Other than that, fantastic home.

The house and linen were dusty.

The house is beautiful but dusty. We all have our allergies flared up. The linens and blanket smell like damp and dusty as well. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable. All of us weren't able to have a good night sleep. This trip was for relaxation and away from work. We all end up sick and body aches. Im wondering if they really disinfected the place for COVID 19 regulations. I am very disappointed for the price that we paid for what we experienced renting this home.
