Very comfortable historic home in Clifton Springs!
This was our second visit at Deb's rental, and hopefully won't be our last! The house is simply amazing-beautifully historic details, comfortable, clean, well-appointed, plenty of space --I could go on & on! Our host was super accommodating by adding an additional day at the last minute and providing us with a high chair for our granddaughter. The beds are comfy. Since our stay was for Thanksgiving, we were able to prepare a couple of dishes at the rental to take to our relatives' house in Victor for dinner. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, bowls, appliances, and utensils. In summary, we would definitely stay here again!
We were very, very satisfied, clean plenty of supplies spacious areas. The beds are very comfortable amazing. Showers were very very clean. We just had a wonderful time. I’d recommend this place to anybody. It’s almost too good to rent out lol
What a beautiful home, attention to detail and true to the historical background of the home. Spacious and homey with all of the amenities. We did think we had the entire home but the owner has a basement apartment, this was a shock at first however this was no issue! We were able to get the history of the home and restaurant tips! So much thought went in to ensuring that every guests needs and wants were met! We will definitely book again!
This is a very beautiful home it is easy to access via the interstate. It provided easy access to the Finger Lake region and Niagara Falls. The home is meticulously maintained in a very Victorian style. The listing described the property perfectly. All needed amenities were provided for our stay. The host was very responsive with any questions or issues we had. Would certainly stay here again. It will not disappoint
What a beautiful property! Gorgeous home that has historic charm but modern features. Each bedroom is lovely, so each one of us had our private sanctuary to retire to. It was fun to be able to walk into the town center and check out the cute shops and pizza place.
Although I spent five minutes typing a message to owner the day before arrival explaining our early arrival, it never got to her so they called the cops on us for breaking in early. Not a good start or play on their part. After that, I think it went smoothly and the property met our needs for a family reunion nearby.
Absolutely beautiful home, it had everything. The host even provided toiletries, it was in a quiet setting, we didn't walk anywhere but she was so amazing, she even let my sister use her heating pad. The house was just amazing, we loved staying and will stay again if we can. Every stay at a VRBO will now be compared to this place, if I could give it 10 stars I would.
Immaculate old house with modern amenities. Large rooms on the main floor so everyone can be in their own space if they want, or all together in one room. 5 large bedrooms upstairs. 5 minute walk from the village, which is quaint, clean, and safe.
Owner was very responsive.
There were 9 of us and we were a little worried about only having 2 bathrooms but we made it work. The only complaint (and it’s not even really a complaint) was that the bed in the last bedroom on the right. The headboard would creak whenever someone would get in bed ( my sister in law thought it was goin to break and they are not a big couple) and even when they would turn over. They also said that the mattress had a dip in the middle.
The house and grounds were very nice and all the bedrooms were a good size.
We enjoyed our short stay in Clifton Springs! The town was nice and we were able to visit several wineries nearby. The house was spacious and kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was spotless! We would love to return.
The house has 5 bedrooms and 1full bath upstairs. Downstairs there is a full bath. The second bath is under the primary staircase, so tall people would not enjoy using that tub/shower (the tub is a very nice claw foot). There is no soap dish or place to put shampoo there. Neither bath has been equipped with ADA grab bars. One of our party is blind. Thankfully we had no slips or falls. Stairways are steep. We enjoyed the house but had limited access to WI-FI due to a weak signal. Cute and interesting town, very walkable.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Victorian in Clifton Springs. The house was exactly like it was described and the village itself very charming. We visited the area to participate in a triathlon with extended family and there was room for everyone. Everything we needed was on site and in just the place you thought it should be. A great spot!
It's a lovely old home in a cute little town. We enjoyed our stay and will remember it for the next time we're in the area.

About the host
Hosted by Debbi Healy
After traveling as a military family for many years we decided to make Clifton Springs our home. I enjoy the village and the many local businesses as well as the good friends and neighbors we are lucky to have here. My children finished school, attended local colleges and two of them live nearby with their families. I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren. I went back to school and earned my Masters degree in Library and Information Studies and worked for the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. and after many years have recently retired. I am busier than ever, enjoying retired life. I have a private apartment with its own entrance. You may see me coming and going. If there is anything you need during your stay, please feel free to reach out.
Why they chose this property
After living in several busy cities i was looking for someplace quieter with a slower pace. Clifton Springs is a small friendly Village in Western, NY; just far enough away yet close to several small to medium sized cities and only thirty-five minutes from the airport in Rochester. I fell in love with this house when I saw the late Victorian architecture, complete with high ceilings and pocket doors and lots of natural light. The house is set back from the street with an expansive lawn. It's a wonderful family home.
What makes this property unique
The wide foyer for greeting guests and the small sunroom with stained glass accents as well as the unique mantle in the den and many built in cabinets throughout the house are a few of the features that attracted me to the house. It is a peaceful and welcoming place.
