About this property

Natures Hideaway is a great couple’s retreat. A beautiful mountain cabin, with a hillside fire-pit and a private hot tub. There is a nice fenced area between the cabin and retaining wall for your furry family members. The deck that leads to the fenced area is gated with 7" spaces between pickets and there is a lovely screened porch for your morning coffee off the deck. The cabin offers a large cathedral ceiling and main level king bedroom with a 25" cable TV. The living area has vaulted ceilings and is perfect for cuddling in front of the gas log fireplace or watching your favorite movie on the 43" TV. There is a loft with a 50" TV for game viewing and a foosball table in the loft coffee table. You may never want to leave the cozy hideaway. Nature's Hideaway is an adult only, two person maximum cabin that is dog friendly. Please no cats.

Dogs are welcome with no size, weight, or breed restrictions. Please NO cats allowed. Because Sliding Rock Cabins® is truly pet friendly, we provide the following amenities for your doggies: Large pet bed, food and water bowls, toys, treats, and towels.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Fifty Nine Dollar ($59) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. Total peace!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was extremely comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The special touch of the dog bed was awesome. Our dogs liked that bed better than their own. Every morning and evening we enjoyed the screened in patio and watched some movies on our IPAD. We never used the TV or hot tub so can't comment. For us was a perfect location to Blue Ridge , Ellijay and many wineries. The road is well maintained and able to access the cabin easily.

Restful retreat

Perfect hideaway to recharge with our precious dog. A bit more secluded, challenging roadway to reach than we anticipated, but nicely maintained property. Only improvement could be better lighting for reading since we don't watch a lot of TV. Grateful for the experience!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was very clean and very well stocked. I bit of a drive off main road but an easy drive. We had a mid sized car and had no problems on the gravel road. Very quiet. Fenced in area was small and mostly gravel.Great restaurants- Canteberry is excellent. Nice outside area for dogs. Tumbling Waters, Fall Branch Falls and the lake Blue ridge were all fairly easy with beautiful scenery.We usually visit the mountains in the fall for the changing of leaves. It was a bit warm but nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of living in touristville.

The cabin was amazing. The drive up the mountain was exciting and the deer were plentiful. We enjoyed the local community. Most noteworthy was Reece’s Cider farm.

Cozy cabin weekend

Cabin was very clean, beautifully furnished, and had everything needed for a great weekend birthday getaway. We brought many extra materials which were not needed as everything was fully stocked. Cabin had A/C and central heat. There was plenty of bedding available

The road may be overwhelming for someone not familiar with mountain driving, but worth it for the privacy. Received texts from management throughout our stay with inclement weather advisories and contact numbers for any issues. Very convenient to downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge, even a day trip to Helen if you want to venture farther out. Highly recommend.

Very Quant

Loved the cabin and everything about it. The road going to it was alittle rough. But that can't be helped. We went to town one day and cooked the other days. We were fine just staying at the cabin and enjoying the peace and quiet. Deer came up while we were in the hot tub which was so cool.

Hiked Amicalola Falls and stopped at Fainting Goat, Chateau Meichtry, and Ott Farms and Vineyard on the way to the cabin. Next day hiked Aska Long Branch Loop (2.0 miles) and visited Engelheim Vineyards then Grapes & Ladders Vineyards. Day 3 hiked to Flat Creek Loop (6 miles) and finished the day at Roo Mountain Vineyards. The hot tub was very much appreciated.

Peaceful spot with high speed internet

The cabin is great and also really enjoyed the screen porch area. We work remote and tried reaching out to the property manager beforehand to confirm internet speed, but didn't hear back until we actually booked the place. It all worked out though, steady 39 down and almost 4 up.

Perfect getaway / natures hideaway

Overall, the cabins were very nice, clean, and private. The only issue we had is that there was a carbon monoxide leak causing the smoke detector to wake us up ah 2 am from a deep sleep in our first cabin- so we were moved to another. The second cabin was nice, but all together between waiting for maintenance to come check the leak, returning back to pack up and move, we wasted about 2 hours of our day. This was disappointing because we were only there for one full day for my boyfriends birthday. I would have preferred to not have to leave a winery early to drive 30 min back to pack up and move during a storm. We also had planned to leave at 11:30 am and we’re ready to walk out the door when we were told maintenance would be there in 30 min. Lastly, because we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to do during the day, I called to request an additional night at any kg their cabins (willing to pay for it of course). They told us we couldn’t do just one night because they don’t allow it, even under these circumstances. All in all, the cabins were super nice, but I wish it didn’t have to take time away from our already short trip.

Not a fenced yard as stated.

The fenced area is the size of a dog run. Muddy and gravel. Not where dogs want to potty. Stench was strong due to the trash container in the same area. Every single other thing was perfect, clean and peaceful.

Cabin in the woods, but not as secluded as one might think.

The location would be considered remote, but we were surprised how close other cabins were to our location based on the lot being listed at 1.26 acres. The only negative for us was that one cabin that is directly at the top of the driveway, and another a few hundred feet away, so it is less than ideal on seclusion from others.The property was clean, the management company communicated perfectly, and the overall stay was excellent. The porch was pleasant to sit on at night and just listen to nature, and the hot tub was an excellent relaxation spot as well. The inside amenities were more than enough for our 4 night stay.
