The listing says one bedroom, but it is a small studio. Also, there are no outlets, so you can't charge your phone or plug in anything else. WORST OF ALL the bathroom/shower were an outhouse that was at least 30 yards from the cabin! Also they say AT&T and t mobile work, but t mobile did not and there was NO cell reception until you're on the 101. The roads to get to the location were AWFUL--very twisty and barely two lane. You should drive a truck or SUV, but a small one , since the roads were so narrow in some place
My husband and I and our 2 small dogs enjoyed our time here for our baby-moon getaway :) Our cabin was super cozy and clean and had just about everything we needed! We appreciate Joseph for being so kind and coming out in the mornings to check on us and asked if there was anything we neededWe are definitely ready to come back again when our little one arrives
This was the cutest cabin I have ever stayed in and is in a beautiful location. Joseph is incredibly kind and helpful and genuinely cares about his guests. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and quickly answered all our questions. I would highly recommend booking this cabin!
Joseph was very communicative about what to expect regarding directions to the cabin from both north/south. He greeted us upon arrival with some local route/food suggestions. Comfortable and clean accommodations were as described. Beautifully crafted cabin and stand-alone shower. Kitchen fully equipped with cleaning/cooking tools (including basic seasoning). Best was kettle with their thoughtful teas/instant coffee selection. Cobb oven available given cooler conditions. Please be sure to read the full Vrbo listing and ASK questions in preparation for the drive. I drove a hybrid Corolla and other guest drove older generation Tesla with no issues.
Absolutely great stay. We sought a quiet place among the oaks and this place was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is beautiful with a balcony and rocking chairs, outdoor picnic table, big enough stocked kitchen, and cool hobbit-style slate and rock shower and bathroom. The cabin is hidden under a few large oaks.

It was a beautiful quiet location with lots of trees . We love wood and stone architecture !
We had such a good getaway at Joseph’s cabin :) we went down to Carmel for the weekend to relax and go to the refuge, but we wanted to stay in the woods where we could unplug and enjoy some woodland serenity. The cabin itself was absolutely adorable, but also incredibly well maintained and looked to be quite a new construction. It was completely quiet out there, we opened the window and all we could hear were the little critters singing their night songs and a soft breeze. It was absolutely perfect for what we wanted, but I do want to point out that it is basically a glamping-like experience - no WiFi, no outlets (though there are electric lights in the cabin, a heater, and gas stove), and we didn’t even have cell service (we have Verizon). If this is what you’re looking for then look no further! Joseph as a host was also wonderful, very communicative through out the whole process and made the entire booking/check-in/check-out process very easy. Thank you so much for hosting us, Joseph! We can’t wait to stay again :)

Great stay! I was looking for a quiet place with nature. The cabin was a great experience for a getaway. And I went the nearby hikes which were amazing trails and views. Thank you !!!
We were looking for something that had a cabin-like ambiance but with all the amenities and this was the perfect fit. The host is so helpful and gave us recommendations on where to go in Carmel Village/Carmel. We loved the ability to go into town for wine tasting and ocean views then retreat back to our little mountain bungalow. This was our second time staying and we will definitely be back for a third!
I'm extremely happy that I chose to stay here. I only wish I had stayed longer. The surrounding area was beautiful and the property itself was awesome. Plenty of area to explore around. It is perfect for a couple. Hot water was hot and the place had everything we needed. We definitely be back!!
The cabin is exactly what we need. Quiet, clean, and peaceful as there was no WIFI or TV. We enjoyed being one with nature, and so did our puppy.
Thnak you Joseph, place was amazing and we will be back.

All the reviews are true! This is a serene place with a cute cabin. We arrived during a storm with crazy rain and winds that continued through the night. It made for great white noise! We were skeptical of the heater’s ability to keep us warm and it got so hot that we had to turn it down in the middle of the night! The space is super romantic! The bathroom is like 20 steps away and we had so much fun running to and from it in pouring rain! I brought my little dog with me too and he had all the freedoms during the day to roam around under my supervision.
I will call out though that it’s a gas-fuelled heater which was not clear from the listing. The bed creaking was pretty loud. So you’d have to be good sleepers. Those are my only two complains.
The hosts are genuinely very nice people and live close by. They actually offered for us to stay back another night for free because the storm was so bad. We unfortunately had to leave but would definitely go back in the summer!
