About this property

Luxury villa with panoramic views, heated pool, close to lagoon and beach

We have sought to equip our villa to the highest of standards and to hopefully anticipate all of your needs for a perfect vacation.

Located on a quiet country street with magnificent views of the ocean and Óbidos lagoon, rolling hills, and dramatic sunsets. Just a 2 minute walk to the lagoon where you can kayak, wind surf, fish, and a 5 minute drive to Foz do Arelho beach, which you can see from the villa.

Comprising 2 floors, the main floor has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, spacious dining and sitting areas with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. The second floor is a master suite with en-suite and a sunny terrace with a beautiful panoramic view of the countryside. Outside, you have your own private pool, dining area, and a bonus bathroom for the pool and beach. It’s fully air conditioned with radiant floor heating throughout.

The maximum number of guests is limited to 8 people, including children (6 adults maximum).

A beautiful villa with breathtaking views
The villa is beautiful, exceptionally clean and very well equipped. The welcome was warm and nothing was missing. The location and the view are breathtaking. What sunsets! If we had more luck with the weather, it would have been the perfect vacation.

Family holiday July 2024
This is an exceptional holiday villa in an area of incredible natural beauty. We stayed for one week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were met by the property manager Claudia earlier than the usual check-in time which was much appreciated and communication with Claudia before and during our stay was really good via WhatsApp with almost immediate responses. There was an issue with the pool cover which she resolved with maintenance incredibly quickly. The welcome pack was extremely thoughtful and very much appreciated. The owner Issy messaged us during our stay also to ensure we were having a good time and sent birthday wishes to our youngest daughter which was very sweet. The villa is truly exceptional. It is in perfect condition and is the best equipped holiday villa we have ever stayed in by a country mile. Issy and Gary have thought of everything one could need while staying in their beautiful villa. The views from the villa are stunning and we were able to watch the flamingos in the bay of an evening with the telescope in the living room as well as from the bird-watching platforms nearby. The pool was a big hit with everyone and was heated which is important as the weather in this part of Portugal is variable. On the two overcast days we went exploring the local area with long walks on the coastline, beaches and the gorgeous walled city of Obidos. We had a lovely week and will definitely return.

Beautiful villa
We had a fantastic week at Ocean Vista and loved everything about the house but especially the views. Sunset every night was a treat! Izzy, Gary and Claudia were super helpful and ensured we had a wonderful stay. Izzy was very generous and made our week very special. Obrigado! Would highly recommend to any potential guests and I hope we have the opportunity to return one day.

Résidence de luxe merveilleuse et complète
La cuisine est équipée de toute la vaisselle nécessaire pour plus de 6 personnes et des ustensiles de cuisson. La salle à manger est grande et offre une vue magnifique. La chambre des maîtres est fièrement aménagée avec une belle salle de bain attenante et un grAnd walk-in. Les deux autres chambres sont de bonnes dimensions. Trois vélos sont disponibles pour des pratiquer ce sport sur la piste en bordure de mer. Des épiceries sont disponibles à 10 minutes de route sà Caldas Rainha. La plage de Foz do Arelho est splendide et à 5 min de route seulement. Nous avons manqué de rien.

La casa es perfecta, no le falta detalla. Cualquier cosa que se pueda necesitas está justo allí donde vas a buscarla. A destacar la piscina climatizada que hacía los baños muy agradables, además de todo tipo de hinchables para la piscina. Sin duda para repetir.

We had an amazing stay at Ocean Vista in the end of June 2023. An amazing villa with a spectecular view overseeing the lagoon and the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. We did hang around quite a lot by the pool area which was terrific. The terraces which we used for dining and just chilling out were also splendid. The only downside was that we thought it would be two separate beds in one of the bedrooms, but we sorted that out by using the sofa bed in the living room. The communication with the owners as well as the property manager was above our expectations. Thanks a lot Issy and Claudia for letting us use your house. We had an amazing week

Great property, great location, great owners
The property lived up to its pictures but what surprised me was how comfortable and at home we all felt. We stayed for two weeks. The beds were super comfortable and the living area was spacious and relaxing. The kitchen was stocked with spices, oils and dressings as well as all the kitchen equipment needed including a rice cooker. We used the bicycles to ride to the beach and there is a wonderful path along the lagoon. The owners were super communicative and provided a wonderful, thoughtful care package upon arrival. Absolutely loved our stay.

Best rental to date!
Pictures don’t do this rental justice. Everyone in our group agrees that this property is the best place we have ever stayed. Close enough to the big cities but remote to enough to have walks and eat out without fighting for your place. One of our group quoted this was the most relaxing vacation she had ever had. We will go back!

One of the most beautiful views we have ever had...
I rented a lot of villas in great locations all over europe but this was probably the best that I ever visited. So well equipped, everything so clean and high quality... Simply amazing! A lot of good restaurants with local food and great wine and several supermarkets within 10 - 15min drivetime. In addition Isabel and Gary prepared a Google Map with several recoomendations including sight seeing which helps a lot. Great communication with Isabel and Gary before and during our stay and very good support from Claudia as well. But for sure the best and the most impressive thing was the view of the lagune. We couldn't stop looking out and taking tons of marvellous pictures just sitting there with a glass of wine enjoying an awesome evening scenery when the colors changed every 15min. If you need a place to relax and clear your mind you should defintely go there... Many thanks for an unforgettable stay! Cheers Jeannette & Matthias

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful villa!. TThe view is spectacular and the property manager and owners were very responsive and helpful The property was very true to pictures and one of the most well stocked homes we have rented. We however had some issues with air circulation and humidity levels in all the rooms which caused some minor issues. We also had hot water issues (or lack thereof) that caused some irritation during our stay. Nonetheless, I would recommend this property if you are looking for a beautifully furnished modern home in a quiet and remote neighborhood.

Fantastic house with a great view
The house was modern and well maintained. Great welcoming with a bottle of wine and some snacks and some breakfast provisions. Everything on the list of appliances was in great shape, I used one of the great mountain bikes every day. Local staff was maintain the garden and pool during the week. Some small issues with key to opening pool cover and the pool lamp was not lit. The toaster had also some issues, but everything else was above our expectations....

Absolutely outstanding. The perfect setting.
The house is fabulous. You can see that already from the pictures but the reality is so much better. We had a fantastic time. The kids loved the pool which is heated so even when the weather wasn't great they were still in there for hours. We really can't find fault at all. We had an issue with the garage door which the management team resolved promptly. Overall an outstanding experience. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous stay!
We have just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful villa. We are a family of 4, with children aged 12 and 10. The villa itself is amazing - beautifully furnished, with gorgeous views out to sea, and a great swimming pool, which stays warm thanks to the easy to operate pool cover. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, with everything we needed. The area is a great place to explore - we went kayaking in the nearby lagoon, went to the beach in Foz de Arelho, had day trips to Sintra (hiked up to Cruz Alta and Pena palace - great panoramic views) and Nazare (great vibe and waves for body boarding - the kids loved it). Great communication from the owner Isabel, as well as the local property company (Claudia). Highly recommended!

Wonderful house
This is truly an amazing house with everything you need and more. The house is very well planned and practical, and you can tell that the owners thought about every little detail. The view over the lagoon and Atlantic ocean is beautiful. We can highly recommend this house, it is one of the best ones we ever rented.

We are a husband and wife team (Canadian/Portuguese) who fell in love with the central Portuguese coastline. We started our search for a retirement home back in 2017 while visiting family in Portugal. Several trips later we purchased Casinhas (little house), and started our remote renovation of the property. Looking back, I think we were a little naive about how much work would be involved in reviving a 30 year old house and bringing it up to today's vacation getaway standards, but our dream finally did come true.
