Summer 2022 - New AC - Family Vacation in Narragansett RI - Scarborough Beach

Summer Beach rentals in Narragansett are in great demand by the annual beach visitors. Please reserve your special week as soon as possible. This house is great summer rental in Scarborough Beach Area - Leave the car in the driveway, the beautiful beach is only a five minute walk. When you get back from the beach, rinse off in the new outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

This 2 bedroom unit is part of a duplex. It has one bathroom, a nicely appointed kitchen and great up to date furnishings. New central air condition system installed in 2020. The rental has an outdoor deck and gas grill. It has cable and high speed Internet access. The 2 Bedroom side DOES NOT have a washer or dryer but the 3 bedroom side does.

We personally clean the entire house from top to bottom each May and between each vacationer during the summer. Many repeat vacationers bring their extended family and rent both sides.

Don't forget the family pet - they are welcome with some minor conditions. If you meet these conditions, there is a pet fee of $100 per pet per week. The pet fee of $100 is considerably cheaper than boarding your family pet.

We have had a very positive experience renting our house to family's with pets. Usually, when we go into the house to clean, we can not tell if there was a pet in the house. I usually have to check my records. We look forward to offering this option to summer vacationers another year.

Excellent Beach Getaway

The cottage was cozy, clean and the location is the BEST! We could walk to the beach which is great when you have kids! I would stay there again!

Great beach house!

The house was perfect for us. We had a variety of friends and family visit us while we stayed there. The beach was a very easy walk, even for our young grandchildren. Also all the restaurants, grocery stores, laundromat and other beaches were a short drive. Yes, the shower stall is very small, (we knew about that going in) but it worked out for us. I would highly recommend this house to friends and family.

First things first, the outdoor shower was phenomenal! My bed was very comfortable, it was well- stocked with the things you need. Just one thing, wish there was a washer-dryer, but you can’t have everything! Thank you so much!

RI Beach Vacation 2022

The cottage is very clean and furnished nicely. Walking distance to beach. Close to restaurants, shopping, Block Island Ferry. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this property.

Promixity to beach, restaurants & other attractions were excellent. Property was very clean. Only 2 complaints: as in other reviews shower is tiny. I have been on cruise ships with larger showers. Whatever cleaning product that was used prior to our arrival the scent was too strong & overwhelming. Need to use unscented cleaning products.

As advertised

As other reviewers have stated the house was very clean and the communication with the owner was easy. We stayed in the unit with 2 bedrooms which doesn’t have a washer and dryer. You can go to the laundromat close by but be prepared to spend a couple of hours doing your own laundry. Their wash, fold and dry service was in high demand and they told us it would be close to a week before we could have our laundry back. We obviously did not use the service and did our own laundry instead. The unit has a VERY small shower. As someone else pointed out you can’t even shave your legs. My husband half jokingly put it this way: taking a shower feels like a contortion exercise. The location is great as it’s only about 1/2 mile (10 min. walk) from the beach. We have a 60 lb dog so our options for rentals narrow down quite a bit. There was enough space to put her crate in the house. The kitchen is equipped with the basics which are enough to cook meals if you want to. The coolers were a nice touch and very convenient. The neighborhood is very quiet. Walking to the beach and then to Black Point and back is only about 4.5 miles. It makes for a great morning walk (our dog loved it too). There were some trade offs for having a dog. Overall it was a decent stay.

Great stay

Everything was wonderful, although the bathroom was very uncomfortable, the size of the shower to where u can’t even shave ur legs, the outside shower was no help, definitely needs a privacy wall, like wood, you can see through the sheet like curtains… The toilet situation for a tall man, there’s literally a wall that is set between ur legs just to sit down… besides that, the place was immaculate, lots of room and close to the beach, walking or driving, great quiet neighborhood… Over all, we had a great stay….

Location, location, location!

Easy walk to beach, fresh seafood off the docks just down the road with the convenience of large grocery store a short drive away. Although the bathroom layout was a bit odd, the small deck for morning coffee and extra amenities provided (spices & foil, beach buggy, and lobster pot) made up for it. We are Rhode Islanders but this rental really made us appreciate the miles of beautiful coast line all within reach of this rental. Glad we booked early with Al & Christina.
