New Cozy Up North Cottage Getaway - in beautiful Lakes of the North

This new(just built in 4th quarter of 2020) and modern up north cottage paradise is the perfect place for a serene secluded up-north cottage getaway! Enjoy the great views and long scenic walks throughout the Lakes of the North property around the lakes and trails. To end your night, curl up on a cozy couch while looking out the back sliding door at the woods and an occasional deer or other beautiful wildlife. If you still like having fun, enjoy a bonfire out back or some BBQ'in on a new grill and picnic table patio. Located in ‘ The Lakes of the North’ resort. Guests are welcome to enjoy the many amenities of the Lakes of the North Community. Enjoy all the amenities this private property has to offer; private clubhouse with heated pool, water slide, & jacuzzi(there's a small daily fee upon entering for guests to use this facility), 2 private lakes w/ beach for swimming & fishing, public golf course and restaurant, a small airport, easy access to snowmobile trails, hiking & ATV ORV trails, Settings Bar/Restaurant & Deer Run Golf Course & Pro Shop. Wifi included. New Washer / Dyer located inside our cottage for you to use as well. The cottage is fully furnished!

R&R

Came with a friend for some cycling and R&R. Cabin was most comfortable, clean and well maintained. Location central to many great sites for outdoor activities. Owner was great to work with...thanks Chris for sharing your lovely cabin!

Nice getaway!

This cabin was great for our family of four. We were able to come back to the cabin and relax after day trips exploring Michigan. The lakes in the area we nice and quiet and our kids enjoyed swimming and fishing.

Beautiful secluded cabin

Beautiful cabin in lakes of the north. Close enough to get to things in northern Michigan! Great place to come back to every night with a secluded property and awesome campfires! Would love to come back in the winter to enjoy all of the snowmobile trails in the community! Highly recommend this place!

Great Michigan Cottage

The property was quiet and beautiful. It was exactly how it was listed, a very pleasant stay. I’ve been coming to Michigan for years, no other place like it. My wife had never been, thank you for making her a Michigan enthusiast as well. I would gladly recommend this property!

Excellent stay!

The property was much more than expected. There was plenty of space and the bedrooms were larger than anticipated. It was very clean with everything needed to make our stay outstanding! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!!

Family Getaway

My husband, kids (16, 7, and 3), and I stayed here for the week over 4th of July. We loved it! So clean, private, and just a great place to come back to after taking day trips to the different areas - Traverse City, Petoskey, etc. We will definitely try to visit again!

A beautiful cabin in the woods

We had an amazing time at this cabin. This was an anniversary get away to see some fall colors. The cabin was very clean and adorably decorated. The cabin was perfectly located among some very beautiful trees that were brightly colored. The weather did not cooperate that weekend but we had a great time and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Nice get-away

The cabin and location was great. It was generally very quiet. Enjoyed the chairs and hammock in the back yard. The bed was comfortable. The layout of the cabin was very good. Was a great location for getting to various bike trails in the area.

Lakes of North

Lakes of the North is a family favorite with so many amenities and proximity to other N.Mi destinations.. Property was very clean; owner was super responsive. We had a great stay and would recommend this property.

Excellent vacation cabin

The ideal perfect, cozy cabin to relax, enjoy nature, the surrounding area and each other. With two lakes and clubhouse in Lakes of The North, there are plenty of things to do. One cannot ask for more.

Relaxation

The property was as described in the description. Very clean and organized. Other than food and clothes everything was provided. This trip was for relaxation and we found that. I had no complaints other than having to get property insurance. We have been renting through VRBO for awhile now and this is the first time we have had to pay for insurance. Never had a problem we didn't take care of.

Snowmobiling mini vacation

My husband and I just stayed at this property for 3 night and the cabin was exactly as advertised! Chris and Lynn have made their little getaway an adorable place to stay and relax complete with woodsy decor. We were able to snowmobile right from the driveway to the trails. The neighborhood is quiet and you really only see one other house from the cabin. The place is well equipped and has some nice touches such as hot cocoa, little individual smores packages if you get to use the firepit and was pretty well stocked with games. They even thought to provide sample size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap and toothepaste! One thing I do wish the cabin had was a better wine bottle opener but we made do. I would suggest not forgetting to bring condiments if you don't plan on eating out and bring slippers because the floors tend to be cold even with socks on. The beds and pillows were pretty comfy and there were extra blankets if needed. I gave this cabin/property 5 stars because it deserves it! I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again sometime in the future! Thank you & great job Chris & Lynn!

Snowmobile weekend

Property has great proximity to snowmobile trails. Rental also provides access to association clubhouse with indoor pool which was great for my daughter. Also, the homeowners are awesome and easy to work with.

Great Place For An Up North Get-Away !

We were ecstatic when we arrived to see this cottage is an all new construction, very clean, and in perfect shape! We thoroughly enjoyed our up north experience as we were surrounded by woods and really couldn't see any of the neighboring cottages. The location is great and we were able to quickly get to Traverse City, Torch Lake, Burt Lake, and Lake Charlevoix. Will definitely stay here again!

Get away to a new cozy cottage with wooded views, no neighbors adjacent to this property, enjoy all that northern Michigan has to offer. While staying at this property you have access to the Lakes of the North amenities as a members guest. This includes access to 2 private lakes, a ton of snowmobile/ORV trails, Winter Sports area, seasonal riding stable, golf course, Settings Restaurant & Bar, ...to only list a few! Settings Restaurant, located within Lakes of the North Community, in the winter months usually has an outdoor bonfire firepit area for you to enjoy! Fun to watch all the sleds and Side-by-Sides coming and going! As well as to meet some great prople around a bonfire! As well as a few miles down the road; Porter Haus , and several others in the area as well.
