Katama Farmhouse With Pool And Hot Tub

POINT B EXCLUSIVE - This recently built Modern Farmhouse with pool and hot tub sits in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of Katama.

The open first floor features a Great Room with Living, Dining, and Kitchen Areas. The Living Area anchors one end of the room, with fireplace, large screen TV, seating, and a wall of glass sliding doors that open out to the back portico and pool area. The other end of the Great Room is anchored by a fully-equipped Chef Kitchen and the Dining Area.

The Gourmet Kitchen has large center prep island/breakfast bar, commercial stainless appliances, including a wine refrigerator, plus quartz counters. It opens to Dining Area for easy vacation entertaining.

There is also a first-floor Primary Bedroom with walk-in closet, and deluxe en suite bath with soaking tub and glass walk-in shower. The second Primary Bedroom with private en suite Bath, plus the other three Bedrooms are all upstairs.

Outdoor living centers around the heated 18 by 36-feet saltwater pool with hot tub. It is surrounded by a bluestone sunning patio with loungers and umbrellas. For shadier entertaining, there is a covered Portico that opens out from the Living Room. It has both Outdoor Dining and Living Areas. There is a seating area with propane fire table, plus a Grilling Area and outdoor shower.

The Farmhouse is about midway between South Beach and downtown Edgartown. The bike path is at the end of the road. The Katama General Store and Katama Kitchen are nearby.

NOTE: Pool is heated to 81 degrees and included in the rent, from the last week of June thru the end of August. Heat in June and September is an additional $250/week, and $350/week in May and October (if available).

EV CHARGER: A new Tesla J1772 Charger is being installed for summer 2024 that works with Teslas and other EV cars.

Wonderful property!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean, the kitchen was super stocked, the property was beautiful with plenty to do and the location was perfect, close to the grocery store and town. We easily communicated with the property manager when needed (which was not often because the property was AMAZING). The beds were super comfortable too! Highly recommend. We would stay here again for sure.

This property was not as advertised. Normally, we would not complain but after experience with the realty company trying to find a reason to not return our deposit, I feel the need to give a point by point review. First, the only realtor complaint about the condition we returned the property in was that the bathrooms were dirty. 4 adults and 3 children stayed in a property advertised for 10 adults for 1 week. We were told there was “enhanced cleaning for Covid.” It never occurred to us that we were expected to not use the bathrooms for 1 week. On that point, there was hair in the bathtub and shower upon arrival, which might partially explain their dismay that they needed to clean the bathrooms for the first time. Before checking out, we the dishes, cleaned counters and appliances, swept, stripped the sheets, ran the laundry, emptied and cleaned the refrigerator and coffee maker and returned everything where we had found it. We were quite shocked to hear a complaint that we had not also scrubbed the bathrooms. This property is not located near a beach, as advertised but a 10 minute drive from the beach. There is no garage and it is the only nicer house on a low key block. The listing advertised 2 king beds, which is why we thought it was good for two married couples with children. Upon arrival, we discovered there was only one king bed and had to rock-paper-scissors the larger bed. The renovation on the house is quite nice with caveats. The large doors that open to the pool are quite broken. They do not open or close without serious muscle and it is actually quite annoying when you’re trying to enjoy time with the kids in the backyard. The fan over the stove did not work and boiling water set off the fire alarm, which took quite a long time to figure out how to reset. There are no speakers or music of any kind. The realty company left no games for the children at the house with the exception of one Jenga set. Our children did play with this set and we checked to make sure all the pieces were put back and it before we left. We were then told it was lost and we are being billed $100. If it were only that, we probably would not have complained but dealing with the company behind this property soured the trip. As of last communication, we were told that they do not return deposits in 7 days like everyone else on VRBO and stated they may take 60 days to return the deposit. Headache. Not a pleasant experience.

Fabulous stay in Martha’s Vineyard

The house was even better than the photos. It was extremely clean and fabulously decorated. There’s more than enough space for two families, and the mattresses and bed linens were high quality and so very comfy. There are plenty of fluffy bath and beach towels, and every possible dish, serving platter, and kitchen appliance you could want. Due to the weather, we didn’t spend as much time in the pool/patio as we would’ve liked,but it’s a beautiful space with a beautiful pool/hot tub that is heated to your specifications through an app on the house iPad. There’s also a beautiful fire table. The owner and rental management agency were extremely responsive and easy to reach at anytime. If it’s important to have music, make sure to bring a bluetooth speaker, as there isn’t a SONOS system or a speaker in the house. The location was great, halfway between Edgartown and South Beach, and down the street from Katama General Store ( highly recommend!).We would highly recommend a stay in this lovely home!

What a beautiful house

We were celebrating my wife birthday in Martha’s Vineyard and we stayed in this beautiful house. It was clean, well designed and well furnished. We felt home from the first minute we stepped in. We had a fantastic time even in this cold winter weekend.

Fantastic House!!

Our stay was incredible. The house is brand new...a smart house. Beautifully decorated and close to downtown Edgartown and close to Oak Bluffs. Close to several beaches. The property managers are fantastic...easy communication. Highly recommend. We were there in the winter so we didn’t see the pool and outdoor amenities.
