The property is beautiful, peaceful, and remote yet only 10 minutes to civilization. There are a variety of cottages around the property, a nice pool and spa, trails and animals. This unit was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The cottage has a kitchenette with a small refrigerator and microwave/ovenette.
This property was awesome! Nestled in the backcountry southeast of Escondido, we didn't realize that this place was part of Bandy Canyon Ranch which was terrific itself, it is a rustic resort which is really beautiful and quiet, and includes a game room, pool and jacuzzi.
The place itself was immaculate, and had everything we needed (just note that it has a kitchenette with microwave, so no oven and stove). The upstairs master bedroom is a gorgeous loft, the beds are very comfortable, and there are porches with chairs on both levels with great views of the property. There is a BBQ grill very close to the property.
We were a little confused when we drove in because the information we received did not mention that this was part of a larger resort and didn't include instructions on how to check in. It would be helpful to specify the name of the cottage and that you need to check in at the office which is in the main lodge.
The only other suggestion we could make is that in the upstairs master bedroom when you wake up you feel an immediate lack of privacy with people walking around outside who can see in through the large front windows which have no blinds on them.
This is a very relaxing place for people. The house is very clean and surrounded by green plants. The birds are singing in the morning. But make sure someone will wait for your check if you plan to check in very late.

Quiet stay. Sounds of nature (frogs/owls) at night.
Far enough from the hustle & bustle, yet close enough for meals.
Would highly recommend.
