Bask in Lake Erie sunshine on a sandy, private beach while staying at Willow Grove Lake House, just 7.6 miles from Cedar Point. This charming home is 200 yards from the lake & features a hot tub on the deck. After swimming in the lake, head back to the super clean, updated atmosphere of the home & soak in the hot tub while searing some burgers on the grill. Friends & family will love the comfy bedrooms & will have 2 nicely sized TVs to stream the latest hit movies after long days at the beach. NEW FOR FALL 2022: 4th bedroom added on the 1st floor - perfect for elderly family members that cannot handle a full flight of stairs.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: the hot tub is an extra amenity we offer as a bonus to this beach property. Sometimes hot tubs malfunction and it can take time for parts and repairs. Though we've never had a problem or a malfunction to date, it's always a possibility. There will be no refunds or credits if there are any or all days of your stay where guests cannot use the hot tub. We have a professional hot tub technician that keeps it in tip-top shape. :-) Also, we do not supply propane for the grill. Although there is a propane tank on the BBQ grill, if it becomes empty during a stay, or if it's empty upon arrival, it is the guest's responsibility to exchange the tank.

Grand weekend

Jenni is a very welcoming host. The home is very warm and cozy. Everything was neat and clean. We had everything we needed. The bedroom on the main floor was great for my elderly mother. Hot tub was nice extra. Private beach. Weather was rainy but my granddaughter still was hoping to see dolphins in the lake (a girl can dream) . You won’t be disappointed with this property.

Willow Grove Lake House

The listing descriptions and pictures are completely accurate. The house was perfect for a family to enjoy Lake Erie. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day of kayaking and swimming. The gas grill was so nice to use. This house had everything we needed for a fun get away.

Baseball Tourney & Family fun

We had a wonderful stay! The house is in a great location, 7 minute drive to Sportsforce, 13 minutes drive to Cedar Point and the Thirsty Pony. 2 minute walk to private beach at end of block which was a perfect way to cool off after baseball every day. Close to grocery shopping, too. Our host was awesome! Very responsive to a question about hot tub! Highly recommend!

Wonderful Sandusky Getaway

What a lovely lovely home! Our family (teens each brought a friend) spent time exploring Sandusky and the Lake Erie Islands and even day passes at Kalahari during a convention, and Willow Cottage was a wonderful retreat house. Absolutely 5-star, from the gorgeous kitchen to the super comfy beds and bedding to an amazing hot tub. Spotlessly clean which made us all feel so good at move in too. Thank you for your hospitality! We hope to come back next year!

Great Stay

We fully enjoyed the property. Jennifer was quick to respond prior to and during our stay to answer all of our questions. She provided us with lots of great recommendations on places to eat, things to do, etc. The property is conveniently located to the baseball Sportsplex in Sandusky, which is what brought us to OH. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Oct lake trip

The house was very clean and tidy. Check in and out process was easy. The only recommendation I’d have is to get some bug zappers by the side door and hot tub. Those midge flies were everywhere!!!

Relaxing weekend away with friends

The property was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We had no problems except a faulty smoke detector which went off on its own randomly. I called Jennifer and she was very helpful and fixed the problem immediately. This house was perfect for a relaxing weekend with friends. The home has wonderful outdoor space with a back deck and smaller front porch. It took 5 minutes to walk to the private beach. It was very clean and refreshing. Overall it was a wonderful stay. Jennifer was the perfect host! I'd recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway!

Perfect getaway and perfect location.

The property was very clean and in order. Location was awesome! The house was fully stocked with many items you would need. Very close to cedar point and any other major things to do! It was very nice having a private beach just a short walk away. Jennifer was great with communication. Highly recommend booking this property!

Ironman weekend

Our family was in town for the Sandusky Ironman race. We made a weekend out of it. Jen was amazing! The place was clean, great location to Sandusky and restaurants, small beach at the end of the street was great for the kids! I could see us returning and using this location to visit Cedar Point!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

Perfect house for our getaway weekend! Had all the essentials needed in kitchen to cook a big breakfast! Neighborhood was so quiet and everyone we passed on our walk to the lake was super friendly! Nice big grass area for our Yorkies to play in. Beautiful back patio with plenty of seating. Enjoyed a night in and relaxed here while the men grilled burgers. Only one complaint - our stay wasn’t long enough!! Thank you Jennifer for being an amazing host and allowing us in your home! We hope to be back soon.

Girls Weekend

Enjoyed our stay in Huron! Home was extremely spotless, kitchen stocked with all accessories to prep meals with high end appliances. Living room furniture was very comfortable, beds were comfortable, bathroom and hot tub towels provided. Great dining table to play games. A gift, bottle of wine and a greeting card was ready for us upon check in. Hot tub was a great hit for us, we played cards on the deck furniture and 3 adults had room to do yoga on the deck. Walking distance to a private beach area with seating and a beautiful view of Lake Erie. Would highly recommend!

A great place for R&R

This property was just what we needed for our getaway. From the hot tub to the small beach at the end of the road to sit, relax & watch the waves crash in. When we were seeking a larger beach for a walk, Jennifer was sure to provide details to fulfill our search. Although we were on the tail end of the walleye fishing season, we were able to book with "South of Heaven" guide service and land 3 walleye (enough for a nice dinner). The only bad thing about our stay was that it didn't last long enough! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Lake Erie 2022

Had a wonderful Labor Day week-end at this property. Found the house to be very clean and comfortable to relax in and just enjoy the company of family. House had all the bells and whistles in the kitchen for cooking, and beds were very comfortable. The neighbors were also very friendly to chat with on the walk to the beach. My dogs enjoyed it very much as well, they have never been to a beach before. The only comment I want to suggest is - if you are going to allow dogs, it would be nice to have a fenced yard or maybe a dog run. It's probably been close to 50 years since I've been to Lake Erie, think we will go back at some point soon. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

My husband and I are foodies, so we primarily travel to eat! One of our favorite destinations is Hilton Head. My husband is a military veteran, and I stay busy running our vacation rentals. We love getting to know new people, which is why transient rentals appeal to us. Our listings appeal to guests because of their proximity to one of the world's largest amusement parks, Cedar Point.

Why they chose this property

There is plenty of parking, including a 50-foot long driveway that can accommodate a boat. Large basement with a huge TV for the kids (or for a man cave), 55" TV in living room, and large flat screen in Master Bedroom. We offer Hulu for streaming & local TV channels (no cable TV), and WiFi. The BBQ on the deck is a Charcoal kettle-Q (charcoal NOT provided), & a fully stocked kitchen (no food items or groceries provided). We buy only high-quality linens - no scratchy, inexpensive sheets here! Lake view from some rooms of the house, lagoon right down the street for kiddos to skip rocks or feed ducks or kayak, and an upscale Huron neighborhood where guests can walk with not a lot of traffic. The garage is not accessible to guests.

Our place is also just 2 miles from "downtown" Huron and all of the festivals, the famous Pied Piper ice cream shop, and Gathering Grounds, Huron's upscale coffee shop.
