The Ledge is a gorgeous property and was the perfect retreat for our visit to Hocking Hills. Its location can’t be beat, with cavern views right from the house. The modern industrial design is so cozy, and the hot tub and fire pit were excellent ways to end our nights.
Simply Stunning with Incredible Attention to Detail!
We have stayed at probably 50 rental units and this is one tops them all. Unique architecture, beautifully decorated with a modern yet comfortable design, great attention to detail both inside and out, close to all the fun things to do in Hocking Hills, secluded for privacy, caring hosts, and a view of your own gorge which cannot be beat. We would recommend this place to anyone!
Lost cavern was an amazing property. The ease of check in, quality of the construction and furniture, detail in execution and the AMAZING view made this trip very special for me. I've been to the Hocking Hills several times prior, but this time was especially wonderful.
We had a spectacular stay at this property. Communication with the property managers was quick and easy, they thought of so many little things from what to stock to placement of extra hooks for towels to having firewood and starters there for you. All of the little details were awesome - lovely soaps and cute towels and neat decor. It was amazingly peaceful and isolated while being really close to all the major hiking. This place is an absolute gem and we can’t wait to come back!
We absolutely loved this location and we will be coming back. The location was close to area locations and food. We had fun at the fire pit and the beds was nice. We had a choice from a firm and soft mattress with the 3 beds.
This home was an amazing retreat from the hectic routine for a young family looking to slow down and reconnect with eachother and enjoy nature. The location of the property is close to local hiking and several local businesses, but we found ourselves wanting to get back to spend time at the home. The home is loaded with all the amenities of a luxury retreat in the middle of a very unique natural setting. Our family loved the large hot tub, fire pit, and most of all the sites and sounds of the water running off the rock formations surrounding the property. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. This is a gem and we would recommend a visit for anyone looking to visit the area.
The serene setting could not have been more enjoyable in this beautiful home. We loved so much about this property. Firstly, the architecture and the placement of the home was unlike anything we’ve seen before, it was very falling water esque. We also loved the stylish and wonderful furniture, comfortable bedding and more! The radiant heat was a wonderful touch as well, it kept us warm and toasty during the cold nights. Lastly, the little gift box upon arrival was very cool, it had our favorite coffee beans and biscuits in it, very impressed! We will definitely be back!

About the host
Hosted by Rebecca and Justin Tilley
Justin and Rebecca purchased this property in 2018 and began on their vision. Justin has always dreamed being an architect and this build allowed him to fulfill this desire. Over the last 3 years, we've become parents of two wonderful babies, produce farmed full-time, all the while working steadily on this dream. We began renting our cabin in November 2020.
Why they chose this property
From the moment we saw this wild terrain, we were in love. It is perched on the bank of a cavern with seasonal waterfalls. Old growth hemlocks surround the cabin. It is completely secluded from neighbors and sits in the middle of our 24 acre property.
What makes this property unique
This cabin is custom built for this particular space. The ample patios offer perfect viewing areas of the waterfalls. The Ledge blends industrial and midcentury modern styles, while offering Sonos sound system, Bluetooth 7-person hot tub, indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
