This primitive cabin is a great way to connect with nature, while still being able to retreat indoors at night. Unique space but primitive, has electricity, no running water/bathroom inside the cabin. The newly remodeled shower house has restrooms and hot showers and it is within walking distance. You will have amazing lake views and will be close to hiking trails, horseback riding, and wine tasting at Edg Clif Wineries which is next door to us.

This cabin was a rip off so when we first got there we checked in and went to our cabin and it was very small there was no bathroom so when we went back down to the front to get our money they told us we couldn’t get it back. That they could’ve gave it to someone else and we told them that nobody is going to book there so basically they screwed us out of our money I would not advise y’all book there…..
My wife, myself and our dog stayed for a weekend and had a really great stay! You can walk to the lake from the cabin, and the overall atmosphere of the place is serene. We'll definitely be back

The property was very nice. Bed was hard and they do not supply any sheets, pillows or blankets. This is a single room with a very small fridge and microwave only. I also sent several messages to the owner and got no response. We made the best of it. The bathroom shown in the pics are of the shower house which is mediocre at best. . It desperately needs a good cleaning.
This property was perfect for a quick cabin campout with my 2 grandchildren. The cabin and ranch were exactly as described. The heated cabin made the March trip possible. The kids loved the bunk beds and the opportunity to make camp fires. Given the cold snap, it was helpful that there was a picnic table inside as well as outside. The lake was beautiful and we look forward to coming back some time in warmer weather, but it was fun to have the place mainly to ourselves. The location was convenient to Elephant Rocks, which made for a perfect day trip from the property.
We enjoyed our stay but the property seems a little forgotten. We stayed in the primitive cabins and they are exactly that. Our mattresses had large holes and stains. The locks didn't always work or not at all (our friends cabin the screen door and lock were broken) Our favorite part of the trip was canoeing on the lake. Overall it was a nice weekend trip.
The cabin was perfect for my wife and I! We were visiting the Mark Twain area and were close to the Elephant Rocks and the Siilver Mines. We were able to take advantage of the lake and catch a few fish along with some sunshine! I would recommend some safety bars in the bathroom stalls and shower area!

Quick get-away weekend with my sons. It was off season and very very quiet. We enjoyed ourselves and we will be back!
We are tent campers and getting too old to weather outdoors in 30 degree winter. What a great alternative this was. A furnace and just enough dry space for the two of us and the dog. Beautiful icy trees. A brisk walk to the bath house. And back into the warm/dry. Much fun for a wintry weekend.
