Little Byrd House a Hidden Gem in Show Low

Our comfy yet luxurious mountain home is located in Show Low. It is secluded with a beautiful yard filled with a variety of trees, flowers and grass to add to your privacy. There is a covered porch with furniture for visiting or reading. A gazebo is in the back with tables and chairs for eating, visiting or games. The side porch has a gas grill, a charcoal grill, table and chairs plus a porch swing. Also you can enjoy a night sitting by our fire pit.

When it is cooler you can cozy up inside infront of a fire and watch a movie or play games. The kitchen is fully updated and beautifully decorated. It has a spacious master suite with a King bed and an ellegant master bathroom. The second bathroom is by the other bedrooms. One bedroom has a King bed and the other has a Queen bed.

The home is conveniently located near Safeway and Show Low City Park. The park has walking trails, tennis courts, basketball courts and a playground. There is a lake and golf course within 2 miles. Additionally, the Show Low Aquatic Center (swimming pool) is located directly across the street. Great location!

Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am.

Great property with lots of functional problems

We stayed the last couple weeks of June. I’d give it a 5+ rating for furnishings, cleanliness, outside yard, and location. A 2 rating for functionality; I.e., things working, instructions. Etc. First, understand there were NO instructions for operating things in this house. A/C failed on second day; had to endure 85 degree heat for 3 days until repairman showed up to replace parts to get it working. Additionally return air filter had to be replaced because it was black with dust and whatever. Ice maker was not on; had to have someone come in to turn on (remember, no instructions). The ice delivery system in fridge never worked ; dumped ice into bucket. Dishwasher doesn’t clean; after two tries after which had to hand wash everything; we just hand washed in the first place after that. Master bath shower heads were plugged; removed and soaked in vinegar for 2 days to get working; sink nozzles also had to be cleaned to get any water flowing. Plan on at least 5 minutes for hot water to make its way to master bathroom. Could not figure out how to switch TV from cable mode to playing CDs (no instructions); after prop manager spent 45 minutes fumbling with system finally figured out unconventional switching process to get to work. After 5 days in unit, we discovered by chance that the locking device on front door was not working; we were leaving place totally unlocked as we were out golfing, etc. Door had to be adjusted/filed so dead bolt would lock in. All in all, we actually enjoyed our stay; we are pretty patient people so even with all the functional problems, the other good things outweighed the problems. Since our review is the first for this property, I have hunch it only recently went on rental market. If so, it was just not ready for prime time. At least whoever follows us should experience fewer problems than we did. If it were not for all the functional problems, we would have rated the stay a strong 5.

Great place great location

Love the location and the large outdoor areas. Inside is gorgeous wood and nicely decorated. Tons of room; very relaxing. We had a fabulous time and we’d like to stay again in September.
