Great getaway
This is a great rental property there are a few cons though Pros: great location with easy entry in and out of the water. Great floating area. Clean and well kept except for the downstairs shower which the floor was grimy. . Close to grocery store. Lots of places to put umbrellas for those who are fair like me. Under deck patio with plenty of seating. Upper deck with a crank awning that gives enough shade for the dining table. Beautiful view. The beds are great. Check in and check out very easy. Cons: the cookware is awful. Also the loft bed situation is questionable. We had a twin and a double. The listing states two twins. When asked they didn't tell us it was a trundle twin till after checkout. Also if you pulled the trundle out I don't think it would be easy to move around the loft. All considered we would rent again.

As advertised!
The Hut was very clean, simply, but amply, appointed, and a great getaway. One note for the owners-the view and property are undersold by the photos. Both are gorgeous!! :-)

Less than ideal sleeping accommodations for some, and we had to wash dishes
This house was nice but I expected more comfortable stay for the price paid. The sleeping arrangements weren't quite as described. Bedroom 1 has a double bed (not King) and Bedroom 2 also has a double bed (not queen). More substantially, our kids who were initially sleeping in the loft quickly discovered that; there are no blinds covering the floor-to-ceiling windows so wake-up time was when the sun rose and shone brightly into the loft; the sleeping area (loft) is really part of the main living area so it wasn't feasible for them to go to sleep before it's quiet in the kitchen/living room on the main level. The dishwasher did not clean dishes (I had pics to send to property management but then learned they must know this already). I initially thought the cleaning people had not run it before our arrival but discovered it just doesn't have any pressure to run water over dishes. It's more a steamer I guess so we resorted to hand-washing most things except for the drinkware (and even then, you could only put short glasses in there. the taller ones didn't get cleaned) The community is gated which was nice but our code did not work. We had to call and be given a different code for the gate and for the house. So don't arrive for check in too late in case you need to call to be let in. We rented a boat and were able to dock it on the property. Kids enjoyed two days of boating and tubing. We didn't use the kayaks as kids were freaked out of going in the water at the dock.

Great Birthday Weekend
We had a great time. It was only an hour away from Midlothian and it was a beautiful weekend. Perfect spot for a quick get away. We were mostly outside the entire time, but at night did enjoy the pool table and having family board game time. Beds were comfy. Kitchen a little tight and a little sparse with utensils and such.....but no biggie, we were there for the lake. Nice place.

Great Stay!
Very nice clean place. The kids enjoyed the fishing, swimming, kayaks, pool table and corn hole. Normally my fishing trip plans they complain about but this time they loved it!! They could wade out or just enjoy fishing from the dock. Enjoyed sitting on the deck with awning out blocking the sun. The grill came in handy for the steaks! Fire pit was awesome. Plenty of chairs for sitting out doors and on dock. Very quiet location. Food Lion about 15 minutes . Would definitely come back again.

Great location for family time.
Well maintained, right on the lake, kayaks were a bonus. There are a lot of items not listed in the description: lots of chairs for relaxing on the dock and deck, pack and play in the closet, electric griddle and crock pot in the kitchen. We would stay here again.

Private cove for family water fun
Beautiful cottage, very comfortable for six people. The cove is protected from boat traffic, which was perfect for kayaking and swimming as well as fishing from the dock. Very large deck area with table, chairs and grill. Pool table was a life saver during a rainy day.

The property was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. Kayaks advertised as available were not there. Overall a fun stay.

Lovely lake home
We loved staying at this lake house. Beautiful deck overlooking the water, huge lawn for games (cornhole set at the house, we brought badminton), firepit, the pool table in the basement and the included two kayaks and floats -- all were a hit with adults and kids alike. WIFI signal was strong. A few more pots and pans, especially to use for cooking vegetables on the grill, would be a nice addition to the kitchen. We also were not aware that in this part of the lake, if you stand/play in the shallow area, there are small slug-like creatures that will affix themselves to your feet and legs. They don't bite, and come off if you scrub, and we learned to get right into floats/kayaks without touching the bottom, but a heads up on this situation would be good especially for families with young kids who like to play in shallow waters.

Nice spot
We really enjoyed our stay. There were kayaks you could access and in a quiet neighborhood. Only thing was the neighbors would walk into the yard to start conversations if you were sitting on the deck but that isn't the renter properties fault. Overall great spot!

Nice getaway home!
Very cozy and very clean lake front home. We most enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying the view and solitude possible with our off-season visit.

5 for Amenities and Location
Great Amenities which makes for a fun vacation: kayaks, pool table, generous amount of games and DVDs, firepit, corn hole, and more! The location is gorgeous and can be viewed from the large windows that fill the main floor. Location is in a gated communities so the area feels calm and safe.

Comfy cozy lake front home
My family and friends enjoyed sharing this house. The main level is cozy and comfortable. Good house for toddlers. Unfortunately, the lower lever was very cold. The toilets were not cleaned very well, there was pee down the front of both toilets. The pots and pans were also not cleaned well either. Aside from a few uncleanly aspects, this house was a great find. The deck was a perfect hang out spot for the 6 of us. The kayaks were an awesome perk as well.
