About this property

Holland Hideaway is the perfect destination to spend time with family or friends creating lasting memories! Our renovated and spacious home has a comfy feel with a modern spin. The lower level offers a large open living space including a well appointed kitchen, dining area that seats 12+ using the large gathering table and island. Attached 3 season porch welcomes you for your morning cup of coffee or after dinner glass of wine. This is also where you find the all season hot tub. For sleeping, the lower level includes a large master bedroom suite with a king size bed, and a bunk room with a twin over full set up.

The upper level is a large family room with a television, fireplace, arcade basketball game and lots of room for playing any of the many board games provided. Adjacent to this family room are 3 large bedrooms; 2 with queen size beds (one of these had attached full bathroom) and one with 4 twin beds.

The garage has been converted to a game room/bar area. Here you can cap off your day playing pool, watching a sporting event, or visiting with friends. Open the garage door on a nice day, and spread out the lawn chairs on the driveway to expand the "Man-Cave" or "She-Shed." The backyard is equipped with a built-in firepit and numerous Adirondack chairs. If you have little ones in your group, you'll appreciate the play structure we've provided for them :)

If you plan to venture out, this area of Michigan has so much to offer! The city of Holland itself has it all, from boutiques, restaurants, shopping and hiking, along with numerous fun festivals scattered throughout the year. Our home is perfectly located to enjoy the surrounding cities West Michigan has to offer. We are only 15 minutes from Saugatuck, 30 minutes from South Haven, 30 minutes from Grand Haven and 45 minutes from Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Airport! Lake Macatawa is at the end of the street where you can rent all kinds of watercraft to spend the day on the lake (pontoon boats, speedboats, kayaks, standup paddle boards and more!) Our home itself is located in a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks for walking or running, or venture to the Sanctuary Woods Preserve located a short distance from our doorstep for a beautiful day of hiking. In under 10 minutes, you can be at Laketown Beach on Lake Michigan to spend the day in the sun or bring a bottle of wine and catch the perfect sunset! We are looking forward to hosting your next adventure at our cozy hideaway in beautiful Holland Michigan!

Fun family getaway

Perfect for Girls Weekend

The house had so much to do that we never left the property. The kitchen and dining area was spacious enough for all 12 people to gather around, though we could still talk to people who were sitting in the 4-season room as well. The hot tub, pool table, and other games was enough to keep us entertained all weekend so we never felt the need to go into town to visit any bars. The bedrooms were good sized and having 3 full showers for a large group was also nice. The hosts thought of everything! Our groups enjoyed the weekend.

Great house in West Michigan

We really enjoyed our stay! The space was perfect for two families (plenty of beds) and our kids loved the basketball game and hot tub. The location is great for exploring all things Holland and Saugatuck. The house was clean and updated. We appreciated all the extras too (detergent, coffee, liquid hand soap, plenty of towels, etc.). We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay!

Everything in the description is accurate---the owners take good care of this property and are very accessible and responsive! We will definitely be back again to enjoy Holland and Saugatuck...and hopefully over the summer! PS--most houses are well water and you will smell it but you will get used to it and the water is safe to drink!

Great place to get away in Holland

Our group had a great little holiday vacation here. A lot to do in the house with the pool table and hot tub. A short little trip to downtown Holland. Our group recommends staying here when your in the Holland area.

Family getaway

Such a great house in a great location. The owner is also so sweet and so quick to respond when needed. Our family wanted to spend some time together before the holidays get crazy and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy each others company. We also loved the hot tub and all the small added bonuses like the great selection of DVD’s to spark conversation and board games. Plenty of space for us all to hang out and comfortable for our baby as well. Highly recommend!

40th Bday Celebration

A group of 8 women spent the weekend in the area attending wine tours to celebrate a 40th birthday. The house was perfect! We had plenty of room and it was fun space to hang out in in downtime. Location was wonderful, the wine tour company we used picked us up and dropped of off. Area was so fun, great shopping and food about 10 mins away from home. Host was great at communicating. We’d stay again!

Cozy Retreat

So grateful to be able to make lasting memories with my family in such a beautiful home. It was cozy and welcoming and we wish we had more time to enjoy all of the great amenities! Communication with the owners was above and beyond awesome! The backyard was a highlight to be able to unwind and take in the fresh air and even see several deer! Enough space for everyone, late night movie watching, and fireside chats. Holland is a beautiful town. You’ll love it here!

Enjoyable time

This property is located within a short drive to Holland, Saugatuck, Douglas, and Grand Haven. It is also directly across from the running/walking trail and a short drive to a wonderful little nature preserve. The home is amply stocked, has plenty of space, and a total of five bedrooms. It is also located in a fairly quiet area. The owners were easy to converse with when having to adjustment for something we left behind. They have a large backyard with a welcoming fire pit, enough to fit more than 8 people around it, and a couple of things for young kids to play on.

Great home for families!

This home is very spacious and adorable in the decor! We all loved our stay there and the kids loved the fire pit to roast marshmallows and the adults enjoyed the jacuzzi! We would definitely recommend this home for a visit!!!

Spacious house and property!

Our family really liked this vacation house. There’s lots of room and beds for our large family. The kitchen is nice and spacious for cooking our own meals. There are three full baths which made it comfortable and convenient for everyone. Some of our family members enjoyed the hot tub as well. The backyard is really great. The kids, all under the age of 7, loved the playhouse and we all enjoyed the firepit. There’s plenty of room for playing family outdoor games with enough seclusion from neighbors. It’s a beautiful space. There are also plenty of chairs for outside seating. As others have noted the well water has an iron taste/smell, but the filtered drinking water tap from the fridge works well without the iron taste. The Holland area is great with lots of absolutely beautiful beaches and very nice bike riding. We have several runners in our family and the area is very runner-friendly. Holland, Michigan is a great place to visit!

Excellent Space for Large Group

This property is a great place to rent for a group of friends or family looking for a place to stay in Holland, MI. The space is great for hanging out together inside and outside. The furniture is very comfy and well made. The outdoor space is beautiful and perfect for chilling together. The location is perfect for the beach and downtown Holland! I also want to state that the owner of this home went above and beyond for us during our stay. Upon arrival we had noticed that the cleaner had not come to clean the house after the stay prior to ours. We were quickly able to get a hold of the owner and she generously offered to provided us a free night and removal of the cleaning fee. I have not yet received this, but she explained that she would be able to refund us after our stay and review was complete due to the structure of VRBOs refund requirements. I trust that the owner will provide this due to her kindness, explanation of the situation, communication, and help with instructions on how to get the place to a clean state after our arrival. The owner gladly took my phone calls when I had questions or concerns and was very respectful and helpful. The owners have worked hard to make the space beautiful. I would definitely stay again!!

Overall this property is amazing, and the owner communication was great. We came in town for a charter fishing trip for work and we really enjoyed all aspects of our stay. The photos do not do it justice, very clean property with great amenities.

Very nice place

The house is super spacious, great for big groups. We enjoyed the open kitchen/dining concept. It had nice updates and amenities. The owners were responsive to any questions/comments. Generally clean. Only downfall was the hot tub had been cleaned day of check-in so it wasn’t warm until the next night.

Families Get Together

This home was spacious enough for about a dozen people. A large shaded flat back yard. A very nice fire pit with enough Adirondack chairs around with twin sidewalks leading up to fire pit. Very nice landscaping. The kitchen was well appointed as our family cooked all their meals there. A nice screened 3 season room with a hot tub. Our family was quite comfortable with 5 bedrooms / 3 baths. Extra parking in driveway. Close enough to Eldean Boat yard to walk. My husband Jeff and I love to travel, and when we do, we really enjoy comfortable and well stocked Short Term Rental properties! We have properties in multiple states, yet Michigan is our home :) We love sharing comfortable spaces with people so that they too can make memories where you can feel right at home!

Why they chose this property

We chose this specifically because it is updated and modern, but mostly because we love getting as many of our family members together at one time as possible. This home has the capacity to accommodate large groups both inside and out. We love playing yard games in the spacious, shaded back yard while grilling and lounging in the hammocks. When it gets dark, we all sit around the bonfire. And when we're inside, we can all gather in the open floor plan - kitchen, dining and living room area all 'one' so something for everyone all within the same area!
