Great house and great location. The place could use a little more upkeep/ more modern decor. But other than that, we had no complaints! The host was very responsive to any problems we had. Big house with plenty of space & rooms.
This is a wonderful property! Plenty of room for my family and grandkids. Close enough to town, yet far enough to be private. Bedrooms are fun and decorative!! Great place!! Would do it again!!!
We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is huge with enough room for everyone to gather around the giant island. Plenty of cookware, dishes, silverware, etc. Bedrooms are spacious and with 3.5 bathrooms no waiting, which was great, especially with 6 kids. The only complaints:
1) slow internet
2) not enough trash receptacles. There is only two smaller roll-offs and trash pick up is on Wednesday. When we arrived on Sunday they were already full. Same result when we left on Sunday. Please add 2-3 more receptacles or have trash picked up twice/week. Overall the stay was fantastic with easy access to the cabin from the highway. Thank you.
The home is awesome for a large group. Many areas to gather and the bedroom/bathroom mix and location was convenient. Especially enjoyed the large kitchen and island area.
Large enough for our 4 couples. Great location to Sombrilla Springs Escapes and Events, Hot Springs, Shopping
Too many tchotchkes which make for dusty areas
TV's don't work easily in bedroom and kitchen area TV in living room worked fine. Primary bedroom doesnt have shower only tub with hand held want to shower body, only 3 full baths which actuallly worked out fine.
Went to Pagossa for a ski trip with family. Our stay was great plenty of room for everyone and very relaxing. Would definitely enjoy staying at the property again.
This property was perfect for our large family of all adults. The bar is massive, and we spent most of our time hanging around the bar talking. The hosts were amazing and responded quickly to all our questions. They delivered firewood and even came and plowed the driveway for us. We will definitely be back. If there were anything I’d change, it was the lack of covered parking to protect vehicles from the snow, but we would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Property was mostly clean. Modern amenities. Campy but tasteful furnishings and decor. Short to Pagosa Springs but far enough into the surrounding countryside and wilderness to make it a relaxing place to hang out and useful as a base of operations.
Everyone in the family enjoyed the stay. The kids loved playing in all the rooms and really loved that there was a toy room. Adults enjoyed gathering around the huge island in the morning for coffee and morning chat. The kitchen was supplied so well, everything you would ever need was there! Was in a great location for a wedding that we were attending just a ways up the road. Would recommend to others and would absolutely stay again.
We booked this cabin to stay at during my daughter's wedding. It was perfect. We had my mom and brother, my grandkids, a few friends and our teenage son. The cabin had plenty of room. My granddaughter loved the kids room. The only concern I have is the toys need to be cleaned out. Many broken toys which were a hazard for our 3 year old granddaughter.
This property was perfect for multiple families. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone. The home was well stocked with towels, sheets, and the kitchen had everything you needed and more. Loved having coffee on the back porch in the AM. Plus the owner was very responsive and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely stay.
The house is great - large enough for my kids and grandkids (12 total) without feeling packed in. The house is lavishly decorated and with (5) grandkids all under 3, many nicknacks and memorabilia had to be moved for thier own protection....the nicknacks, not the grandkids! Kitchen is well stocked with numerous sets of dishware, utensils and glassware. Basic meal prep spices provided along with coffee and tea. Located about 10 minutes from Pagosa Springs and the drive (from Colorado Springs) is beautiful. Three of the upstairs bedrooms open out to large deck with a nice view of the local pastures and horses. Although not air conditioned the house stays cool during the day (daytime temps were in the high 80's) and really nice in the evening. Local person available should there be any issues - we had to call regarding overflow outside trash recepticals left by the previous renters and Jim was prompt with his response. Due to flight changes we needed to modify our reservation and Heidi was MORE than helpful and easy to work with. Hightly recommend this property!
We’ve been using Vrbo for home rentals for 4 years now and this was the best house yet. Very spacious and comfy for our family to reconnect after being separated for over a year. The home is easy to find and close to many activities. Will definitely try and rent this home again in the future.
The house had enough space for our two families.
Pros: Room to spread out, 2 living areas, large well stocked kitchen, tons of towels, great wood fireplace, property maintenance tended to us quickly with any issues.
Cons: Had issues with hot water heater, 2 bathrooms had non working electrical outlets, one of the showers upstairs leaked, one bedroom needed clean sheets, internet wasn't that good, cell service wasn't good at all. Floors creaked and walls are thin.
Overall: Our two families had a great time and would stay here again.
We stayed in this home for a week of skiing over Christmas. There were 9 of us and this house was perfect for our group. It is a large home and is just outside of Pagosa Springs. It is easy to get to, close to town and close to the ski slopes. The décor is a little quirky, but the house has more than enough towels and linens for everyone and has a great kitchen island, which is where our family liked to congregate. The house has a back patio with a grill. We did not use the grill, but it would be great when the weather permits. We did use the great fireplace in the living room. It was perfect after a cold day on the slopes. The kitchen is well stocked with most of the essentials and more than enough silverware, plates, cups, glasses, etc.. The owner, Heidi, is very pleasant to deal with and very responsive. We will definitely stay here again!
Overall was good. Couple of things could use attention. Gas pressure got real low to the place where it was virtually impossible to cook. Also cookware could use improvement, and not enough paper products.

Nice place to stay
We enjoyed the time we had here. We knew the wifi and phone service didn't work well because of other reviews and that is true. Plenty of towels, linens, and kitchen supplies. My only issue was the pictures make it look like you have tons of property to explore but there is a fence right behind the house with very little yard for kids to play. The house is right off the highway so you hear cars driving by.. The other thing is.. in the description it says it has a pool table and Foosball table but it didn't. We did have a good time and the house did suit our needs but the location wasn't the best(for us). I just think they need to update their listing.
The house is in a gorgeous area and has tons of room. The kitchen island was amazing for everyone to sit around and talk and not have to put the kids at a different table. Lots of bathrooms so everyone could get ready at the same time. Great little patio in the back to sit and talk and grill dinner. Each room is definitely decorated to its theme perfectly and fun to walk around and see all the different styles. Only about 15 minutes to the grocery store and an easy drive.

Amazing views as soon as you walk out the door. Rooms were great, will definitely come back!

Why they chose this property
This property adjoins our other property, Winslow on the Shire, an 11 bedroom luxury manor, English Tutor style. Both homes are often used with big groups when they need to spread out more than just one large home.
What makes this property unique
Ridgely shares the same driveway with the Ceramic Pottery Studio, so convenient for guests to stay and project nearby. This log home has gorgeous views of the Rockies with upper and lower porches. It is five minutes to the Worlds' Deepest Hot Springs and the Western, character part of town including the 100 year old Liberty Theater.
