Private & Quiet Remote Guest House Close to Beach

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but minutes away from the beach. This is your quiet and peaceful sanctuary for relaxing and unwinding! Entire detached guest house for your enjoyment. Well equipped kitchen with stove, range, microwave, full size refrigerator, coffee pot and toaster oven. Includes queen bed, sofa (queen bed), and loveseat (single bed).

We are less than 10 minutes from Edisto Island, and the beach is about 10-15 minutes across the island.

Pets are welcome, but we do have a pet fee. Please send us a message to inquire.

Little family trip

Our stay was just what we needed! We had 2 different concerts planed over a few days and needed something close by and affordable. The hosts are very hospitable and respond quickly. In fact the coffee pot suddenly stopped working and it was replaced in 10 minutes after my initial message. It was clean and a decent sized space for our family to stay. Thank you for letting us stay!

Perfect out of the way home!

My family and I were very happy with our week long stay in this location. It was close enough to the beach but remote enough to be out of the way. Very clean house that was stocked with everything we needed. The hosts were super nice and quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Peaceful!!!

The property is kind of far out but very peaceful. Our border collie absolutely loved the BIG yard to chase her tennis balls!! Owners are very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Fit our needs perfectly

My mother and I enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a wedding and really enjoyed our time away at this cute place. The kitchen was well stocked with so much more than was expected. We will keep this place in mind if we return to the area.

Amazing!

This place was the best. It was quiet and very clean! We had a carton of fresh eggs in the fridge with a little note. It was a really nice stay. It was our first visit to the Charleston area. If I ever go back, I will most definitely stay here again. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Superhosts!

The rental process was simple. When we arrived we were greeted by the host. Everything you would possibly need. was inside the unit! Toothpaste, toothbrush etc.....all the things you might forget. We even found a dozen farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator! This absolutely felt like home and we will be coming back! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!

Just right

Jessica and Wallace are attentive hosts, but also give you space. The space is clean and welcoming with nice touches of extra toiletries, coffee, staple items, games, books and videos. AND a dozen eggs from their chickens. It was the perfect place near our daughter and grandchildren tovisit with them but not put them out by staying over night. We hope to make this a regular stop when we visit the family.

Quiet, Comfortable

Very peaceful, slept like a rock. A little far from Charleston, if that is what you are expecting, but I wasn't that impressed with it anyway. I stayed in that area and Edisto and had a better trip there. I may work all next summer there and if so, I would seriously consider a long term here.

Tucked away gem, great hosts

Loved the off-the-beaten track location near beautiful Edisto Beach and short drive to Charleston. Clean cottage and super thoughtful host. When there was a regional power outage, she offered to do everything in her power to make us comfortable including offering to find us another place to stay (& chocolates!). Thankfully the power was restored within a couple hours and in the meantime we enjoyed a fireside chat and got lots of helpful local tips. Highly recommend!

Great little place to stay

My husband and I were looking for a place close to Edisto Beach. Our daughter was nannying for a family that was vacationing. Her birthday fell during the week so we wanted to come down and surprise her. We did not need a huge place, and we did not want a hotel that was an hour away. We found this place and it was just perfect! We have been on vacation prior to this week for two weeks and our dogs were at home. We said we wanted to take our dogs with us on this trip and this place accommodated that as well! It was very close to Edisto Beach And just the right thing we needed! Everything was there… We did not need a thing! If we’re in the area again we will definitely be staying!

If you don’t want Roaches. This ain’t it.

My family arrived to a dirty rental. So dirty that we had to clean it before we felt comfortable unpacking our belongings, which we learned was a mistake a couple days into the stay. There were countless red flags from the door not closing completely (we believed this is how the roaches got in), pet hair everywhere that it shouldn’t be(kitchen counters, water dispenser), windows didn’t lock, grime and dead bugs all over the window seals and any corner that your eye could meet, potential mold/mildew(not sure which it was,but it made the air very stuffy and hard to breath to the point that we had to buy multiple buckets of damp-rid to alleviate the odor/air quality issue). When we asked the host if she had a dehumidifier, she told us that she’d see if she has one laying around despite not even being in the state at the time. After 2 days of cleaning and making the rental breathable, we were surprised to come back from the beach to be greeted by roaches galore. I kid you not. They were everywhere!! The mattress,pillows,counter tops, glasses, you name it. I can’t tell you how many we killed but it was more than anyone should have to worry about on vacation. After mentioning the issue to the host, she got defensive and suggested that we leave,despite the money and time we lost making the place decent enough for our family in our first 2 days of our vacation. She dismissed the issue as ”This is the cheapest vrbo in the area,so there might be some things to deal with, you’re in the woods after all!” I’m generally not bothered by much,but when you spend money on a rental, it should be clean and presentable. As we were packing our belongings we noticed that a couple of roaches slipped into our bags, which means we could be taking them back to our home!! Now we have to spend time,effort,and money on an issue that we shouldn’t have had to deal with from the start. This was not the vacation my family planned for and we are extremely dissatisfied with how things were handled.

Spacious and Clean

Wonderful, quiet country setting close to the beach and not far from downtown (hr.+). Plenty of hot water. Bring books and enjoy being unplugged. Very relaxing. Jessica goes out-of-her-way to help make you feel comfortable.

Edisto/Charleston retreat

The property provided a nice quiet get away. We took the opportunity to get to Charleston, Folleys Beach, Edisto Island and visit the Ace Basin Wildlife Refuge and then return to a nice peaceful retreat.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jessica's and had all we needed! The house is in a quiet, peaceful location 20 minutes from a nice pool and a peaceful 30 minute drive to the ocean in Edisto!
