Located one block away from the Great Allegheny Passage, Yough Nest Bungalow offers a riverfront view of the Youghiogheny River. It accommodates two guests with a spacious living area, a small outdoor deck(located in the front), and decor that is modern in style. Being split into two separate units, the front half of the home is reserved for guests and has a view of the river; the back half of the home and side porch are private and are where the owners live. PLEASE BE AWARE if you have allergies or phobias of cats; we have two very friendly cats (Rocket and Slash) that live outside and like to visit with guests on the front porch. Additionally, we provide a variety of snacks, K-cups and and coffee creamer.

We loved our stay! The host was very accommodating, the location is great, and the house is cozy! We didn’t have the best weather so we spent more time expected indoors. We loved it! We would definitely stay there again.
Brandy's bungalow was perfect for our extended weekend in Confluence. Brandy was super responsive and kind enough to let us check in early so that we could enjoy an extra afternoon on the GAP trail. Awesome riverfront property and easy drive to Ohiopyle. We made new 4 legged friends as well.
Would definitely recommend and stay again!
This was a very cozy little place that was clean and well kept. I recommend bringing a space heater during colder months since the owner shares a thermostat with the rented space. This way you can have extra heat without messing with the temperature for everyone.
The location was wonderful, right in front of the river. I didn’t realize this is a seasonal town though, so everything pretty much around it was closed. If you just come for the nature though you’ll have a good time hiking and spending time in peaceful nature scenes.
It was overall a great stay. The river and bridges right outside your door with a nice area along the river to walk our pup. Less than 20 minutes from ohiopyle it was nice to have an affordable stay after a long day. The only negative was the furniture in the living room area was not comfortable. Everything else was cozy and clean.
The bungalow was cozy and clean. The bed was very comfy, and we enjoyed the company of the cats! It’s within a 20-25 min drive to many attractions and right off of the Ohiopyle trail.
The apartment is great for a short stay. The apartment was cosy on a cold day. The kitchen had all I needed. It was generally comfortable and close to Mitch’s Fuel and Food which was also good for a coffee and a sandwich.
I needed a location in the middle of the GAP Trail so I could check out several locations/towns for a group of cyclists I am leading on the GAP in June. Perfect location! The bungalow is very cute, clean and comfortable. I do wish there were a few more plates/cups/glasses in the kitchenette though. Also a dishwashing cloth and dry towel would be helpful. The host, Brandy, was extremely responsive. Overall, I really enjoyed this bungalow and the location was perfect for what I needed to do. I would definitely stay here again!
We arrived just as the cleaning lady was leaving. Very clean. Fridge stocked with some water & a couple adult beverages as well as a great selection of snacks & K cups. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure good in shower. Nice porch to sit outside. We walked a short distance down the road to Rivers Edge Cafe for dinner (very good). We met & chatted with the owner and she was extremely helpful in getting us shuttled for our kayak float the next day. She went above & beyond for us. We had a nice breakfast at Mitchs the next morning before the float. I'd highly recommend the property and will definately stay again when we're in the area.
It was dirty. I didn’t want to sit on anything. There was smeared chocolate on the bed comforter. No where to hang up anything. No bowls or silverware for the can of soup that I had brought. The shower wasn’t cleaned. The outside porch is nice except the two chairs are out in the rain while the covered area has the cat bed and food under it.
On the plus side, Communication was terrific and she did allow me to check in an hour early.
This spot was great for a little weekend getaway! Its close to several attractions: Laurel Caverns, Ohiopyle, Falling Water, and several NPS memorial sites. I would reserve this space for a couple’s weekend again anytime!
Brandi was kind and attentive host. I wish bathroom was configured differently but the pictures are accurate and there is no door. The toilet to sink/vanity space is cramped but it is functionable. As long as you know the bathroom situation before booking you will enjoy your stay. The property was very clean. The porch kitty for us was added bonus.
I am originally from Confluence and I’ve lived here my whole. I have been a teacher for 25 years and have three children.I decided to rent my property as an extra source of income. It is not only my rental, but it is my personal home in the back. I welcome guests to stay, but they must realize that this is my private residence in the back of the rental. There may be smells that come from my kitchen and home that you may not be familiar with, but again it is my personal home. If you have problems, you need to contact me as the home owner to resolve any issues. Refunds will not be made for smells, especially if the owner is not made directly aware during the time of your stay that there is an issue that can be resolved.
Why they chose this property
Brandy grew up in Confluence her entire life whereas Andrew moved to the area after living in Detroit and Philadelphia.
