Boasting a premier lakefront location, this home delights with a sprawling level lot, dazzling lakefront views, a private dock, and a convenient location just across the street from Wisp Resort. Whether you are laughing with friends in the outdoor hot tub, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, or reading a book in the sun room, you're sure to find an endless array of ways to spend the day. This home is a spacious duplex, with one neighboring property. All amenities listed are for your private use.

Location Highlights: While this home is a fabulous find every day of the year, you are definitely going to want to snag this home for your fourth of July stay. With fireworks shooting off at the base of Wisp Resort, Hunny Home is perfectly positioned to enjoy the show! The entrance to the base of Wisp Resort is less than a minutes drive away, just down Marsh Hill Road, making this home a perfect haven for your winter ski vacation! In our less snowy months, Wisp Resort can also be enjoyed for ropes courses, an outdoor mountain coaster, and other thrilling outdoor amenities. Wisp's Fantasy Valley golf course is located right near the base of Wisp Resort, while their Lodestone golf course is going to be a quick five minute drive up the mountain. The Shop N' Save grocery store is also less than five minutes from the home, as well as the popular Mountain State Brewing Company for local craft beers and amazing wood-fire oven pizzas.

Sleeping Arrangements: 3 kings beds in private rooms, 1 queen bed and 1 queen sleeper sofa that share a bedroom, and then there is a bedroom with a duo-bunk, which has a twin bed at the top and a full bed at the bottom.

* Winter Advisory: Deep Creek is a mountainous region that experiences more snowfall and ice than you may be used to. Many roads and driveways can be steep. 4WD/AWD vehicles are advised in the winter months. *

Great Place for a Family

Our family consisting of 6 adults and 4 children rented Hunny House for 4 nights for the 2nd year in a row. Couldn't have been better. Red Barn is easy to deal with and very responsive. The house is perfect for a medium size group; clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed the hot tub as well as the fire pit by the lake. And it's just a couple of minutes by car from Wisp Resort. All 4 children took skiing lessons and made great progress. We'll be back next year.

Nice home but we weren't expecting a duplex

I missed the caption under photo 1 of 47, which is the ONLY place where it is mentioned in the listing, that this rental is a DUPLEX. Had to double back to the listing to figure out where I could have missed that information! There was no privacy in the outdoor spaces. Had I known it was a duplex, with no property boundaries, balconies and decks right next to each other and yes, neighbors were outside playing music, playing with their dogs, jumping on their trampoline...I would not have rented. Could be my mistake, but to anyone who thinks this is a big property because of pictures... beware. Also, is providing hand soap in the bathrooms and more than ONE garbage bag to guests, too much to ask? Otherwise, the home matched the photos and was nice enough for a family trip. I would recommend adding more duplex information and perhaps some additional soap/trashbags for the price.

Awesome lake front house near WISP

Great location on the lake and very close to skiing. We stayed in winter but would love to return in summer to enjoy the lake. The house layout was good for a group and more than enough room for 2 families.

This house is absolutely incredible! It is beautiful and the location could not be better. The beds are so comfortable and the towels super plush. Top notch appliances and so very clean. Lori was super responsive and answered questions very quickly. The neighbors are also fantastic!! I can not wait to come back to this house!

Perfect lake house for family vacation!

We love Hunny Home! The layout was perfect for us: our son, daughter-in-law and their 2 kids had the entire upper floor - 2 bedrooms with king sized beds and their own bathroom. And air hockey table plus plenty of room for the kids to play. Our daughter and her fiancé had the bedroom with king sized bed and it’s own bathroom on the main floor. And my husband and I had our own king sized bedroom and 2 bathrooms on the lower floor that opens to the lake. The yard is lovely with plenty of room for the kids to run. We enjoyed a few fires at the fire pit and wine on the dock. It is SO peaceful at night - that was an unexpected surprise! We boated, kayaked, played pool and air hockey, used the hot tub, ate at a bunch of fabulous restaurants nearby - what more could you ask for?

Girls Get Away Weekend

I am getting married next week and planned a small relaxing get away weekend with my close friends. We had a blast. I also am a bit of a clean freak and the house was immaculate! WISP extremely close. Loved it here!

Deep Creek Darling!

This property suited our situation perfectly. My wife and I were there with our two sons and their families. 6 adults and 4 babies under the age of 4. My wife and I took the bedroom on the main level and the kids each had a level with 2 bedrooms to themselves. Loved the location on the lake was perfect for us. Close to the grocery store and gym so our sons could work out. Property was clean and well equipped. We rented a pontoon boat from the Aquatic Center a 10 minute drive or boat ride away. We used the hot tub and fire pit every night. It truly could not have been a better family vacation.
