Truly restorative!

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Turkey Trot - from an easy check-in with fresh cinnamon rolls waiting for me to every detail in the cabin to the beautiful views and quiet, peaceful setting, I found my visit to the cabin to be truly restorative. The owners were warm, friendly and accessible, and the cabin itself was perfect for my needs, from the charming front deck to the fire pit out back. So grateful for the opportunity to stay there!

Great spot for our anniversary getaway

The cabin is perfect. It’s far enough away from the town to be quiet but close enough to drive a few minutes and be in down town. We could not have asked for a better view from the front porch in the mornings. Loved our time there and would definitely stay again in the future.

Beautiful!

This property is amazing! It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but anything you need and/or want is close by. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the turkeys. Sitting out back with the fire pit going was also fabulous. It was a wonderful, relaxing few days.

A cabin in the valley

This cabin is the perfect retreat in a beautiful mountain valley setting near Black Mountain. It was easy to get to downtown, to Asheville, and to the Blue Ridge Parkway for all our activities, and it was secluded enough to feel like we were hidden away.

Peaceful Getaway

We weren't at the cabin much, but it was a quiet and peaceful place to come back to at the end of the day. We enjoyed Mt. Mitchell, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown Black Mountain. We would have loved the tv to be a bit bigger as we enjoy watching tv at the end of our day.

Perfect getaway

This cabin is absolutely perfect. It was so clean and tidy upon arrival. The location is just right for a quick 5 min drive to all that black mountain has to offer. Then when your back at the cabin, you can turn on the outside light string, start a small fire, and relax with the outline of some mountains in the sky. Will absolutely return to the Turkey Trot cabin whenever we are back.

Relaxation Station

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay! The cabin was gorgeous and so relaxing. It was a perfect quiet getaway, close to the Black Mountain downtown and a beautiful kitchen to make goodies in. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch drinking coffee each morning, while watching the wildlife. The fire pit out back with the string lights were magical. We definitely would love to make a trip back! Highly recommend for couples or small families. You will love this place!!

Cute little cabin near to downtown Black Mountain. We enjoyed sitting on the porch. We loved watching the lightning bugs and turkeys. Cabin was super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners even left us yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast on our first day. The only difficulty we had was with the bed. It is up against a wall, so it wasn't easy for the person on the inside to get out of the bed. We made it work, but it's something to consider if you have mobility issues.

Absolutely Fabulous Cabin!!!!!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Stayed 9 days. Owners quick to respond & so helpful. Clean as a whistle. Greatest mattress, sheets, towels! High end pots/pans - loved the appliances (tons of ice output). Everything you could need/want! It’s clear that items were selected for cabin comfort. AC/heat unit spot on. Washer/dryer a plus! Great covered porch with amazing view of Allen’s Knob & surrounding mountains. Scenic overlook of adjacent farm. Incredibly quick drive to delightful shops & restaurants in downtown Black Mtn. Fun backyard firepit, Adirondack chairs & edison light strands. Convenient to Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway - don’t miss Folk Art Center. Easy on/off I-40. Feel in middle of countryside but not too isolated. Very safe location for singles. Best vacation!!!

Black Mountain Weekend Getaway

We had the most amazing weekend away. Check in process was easy, great communication with Lyndsay and Jeremy, great little town for a vacation. Lyndsay gave some great advice for fly fishing locations and local restaurants. Went to Foothills and bought the best steaks ever. Cooked with at the cabin where fire wood was supplied. The cabin was so clean we let our 8 month old play on the floor. Will definitely be going back again and will not have to look for another place to stay. 10/10
