This was a wonderful place. It is quiet, clean and contemporary. Language was an issue as we do not speak French or German, but we managed. I would stay here again.

Memorable holiday
First time visit to the Bas-Rhin region and based in Barr was perfect to reach all places. Gite Le Léonardo was a perfect apartment. We had a two week holiday at the Gite. Everything about the gite was great quality and it was very well equipped. We were met by Henry (the owner) who explained everything to us and told us to contact him for any issues during our stay. Special mention to the beds which seemed very new and were very comfortable (very much appreciated after many days walking around towns, villages and the countryside). The apartment is within 5 min walk of the town of Barr which is a delight. We ate several meals at the local Winstub restaurant serving traditional Alsacian food. We also enjoyed buying food at the local markets and cooking in the gite. Very nice touch that Henry and his wife Madeline left some lovely gifts at the start of the holiday. Especially delightful were the home made configures. Would not hesitate to recommend the gite

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in einer tollen Ferienwohnung. Die Wohnung ist noch relativ neu und wirklich sehr gut ausgestattet. Es gab einen sehr freundlichen persönlichen Empfang von Henry mit kleinen Gastgeschenken von seiner Frau. Die Betten waren wirklich bequem. Die Lage ist sehr zentral zwischen Colmar und Strasbourg, so konnten wir jede Menge Ausflüge machen. Es standen 2 private Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Bei schönem Wetter kann man es sich auf der Terasse gemütlich machen, aber dafür war es hier schon zu kalt. Man ist in 10 Minuten in den Ort gelaufen und findet gute Lokale. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Die Wohnung war sehr schön, bestens ausgestattet und gute Lage. Die Geschäfte waren fussläufig prima erreichbar. Wir haben uns in Barr sehr wohlgefühlt und hatten einen tollen Ausgangspunkt, um Elsass und Vogesen kennenzulernen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Heerlijk appartement in Barr van alle gemakken voorzien
Een prima stek in de Elzas om de wijnroute op de fiets te verkennen. Het appartement ligt tegen het centrum aan. S morgens lekker vers brood halen en er is een supermarkt. Alles op loopafstand. Henry is een zeer vriendelijke host. Het appartement is schoon en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig.

Überdurchschnittliche Ferienwohnung
Die Ferienwohnung ist wunderbar – fast schon luxuriös - ausgestattet, mit allem, was man braucht und sehr sauber. Alles entspricht der Beschreibung und den Fotos. Sehr ruhige Lage und Umgebung, schöne Terrasse mit Tisch und, Stühlen, Liegen und Sonnenschirm. Für Ausflüge zu verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten im Elsass ist die Wohnung recht zentral gelegen. Vermieter Henry ist extrem freundlich und aufmerksam und die Willkommensgeschenke von ihm und seiner Frau sind sehr großzügig! Merci beaucoup! Wir können die Wohnung wärmstens empfehlen.

Beaucoup mieux qu'espéré!
Une habitation qu'on ne peut que recommander. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut, même l’inattendu. L'accueil est chaleureux, les petites attentions à l’égard des arrivants nombreuses et bienvenues. Venus pour les marchés de noel de la région, nous étions idéalement placés, tant pour la région de Strasbourg que celle de Colmar. Merci à nos hôtes d'offrir aux visiteurs un lieu meublé meublé avec goût, très confortable et d'une rigoureuse propreté. Jack

Sehr schön
Wir haben eine sehr schöne Wohnung vorgefunden und wurden herzlichst auch mit liebenswerten Aufmerksamkeiten empfangen. Die Lage war für uns fantastisch, zu Fuß ins Städtchen Barr sehr nah und auch in der umwerfend schönen Umgebung konnten wir mit dem Rad durch die Weinberge fahren. In der Wohnung fehlte uns nichts und wir haben den Garten mit der gemütlichen Sitzecke und Sonnenschutz sehr genossen. Danke an Henry, der uns viele Informationen geben konnte, und immer für uns zur Verfügung stand. Sehr gerne kommen wir bei einem erneuten Besuch im Elsass wieder hierher zurück.

Einfach Super!
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was es braucht. Die Lage wie auch das Haus sind sehr ruhig, den Sitzplatz draussen haben wir rege benützt. Ein Sonnenschutz auf der Terrasse wie zum Beispiel beim Nachbarn wäre eventuell eine Überlegung wert. Zu Fuss ist man rasch in der Altstadt von Barr. Die Wohnung eignet sich vorzüglich für Ausflüge auf der Weinstrasse, aber auch Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Sainte Odile oder Haut-Koenigsbourg sind nahe. Der Vermieter ist äusserst hilfsbereit und nett. Wir können die Wohnung sehr empfehlen. Merci Henry für alles!

Der Vermieter hat uns mit seinem und freundlichem Wesen sehr nett empfangen. Eine Verständigung war zu unserem Glück auf Deutsch gut möglich. Die Wohnung samt Terrasse war genau so schön wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Die Ausstattung war hervorragend. Alles war sauber und gepflegt. Der Willkommensgruß in Form von Leckereien haben uns die Tage versüßt ;-). Jederzeit wieder!

Een super mooi appartement.
Het appartement is mooi en volledig ingericht (zo goed als nieuw). De koelkast is bij aankomst rijkelijk gevuld, zodat je na een lange rit niet direct boodschappen hoeft te doen. Het appartement ligt op loopafstand van het centrum van Barr (mooi wijnstadje), het station en de supermarkt (ongeveer 800m). De omgeving is prachtig om er mooie fietstochten te maken, Strassbourg en Colmar te bezoeken. Wat er niet is regelt Henry voor je. Zo hadden wij onze E-bikes mee, Henry heeft daarvoor een stalling inclusief stroom geregeld (voor het laden van de accu's). Merci beaucoup!

Prachtig appartement
Net weer thuis van 2 heerlijke weken in de Elzas met prachtig weer. We verbleven in dit mooie appartement in Barr. Alles maar dan ook echt alles is aanwezig in het appartement. Van koelkast tot vaatwasser, van koffiezetapparaat tot oven. Ook eten voor de eerste dag is aanwezig evenals schoonmaakartikelen. Je hoeft eigenlijk alleen wat kleding mee te nemen. Het appartement is nieuw en modern ingericht. De bedden zijn uitstekend. De eigenaars zijn vriendelijk en spreken ook Duits. Merci voor de fijne vakantie in uw appartement.
