Great for families

Large house right on the beach. Great kitchen for families that love to cook. Lots of space- tables, rooms, kitchen and pool area. Close to shops and eating places too. Beach was great- a bit worried about the decking and stairs- a little more movement than we liked. Top floor balcony great for sunrises and coffee. Overall we would love to go back and may for next years family trip!

Week escape

Party of 17. The house was very clean (a little dated) and convenient to the town of Corolla and the 4x4 beach. Pool was great- they even cleaned it after a storm. Beach access was effortless. We ended up buying cleaning supplies for the countertops and dish soap for dishes that we used as well as dish washing pods for the dish washer and washing machine (standard for VRBO). For the most part the kitchen was well stocked for utensils, stove top cooking as well as the grill. Made cooking for a large group almost effortless. When it rains and the wind blows a certain way, the top level sliding glass doors leak. This makes it hard for the doors to shut properly once dried out. Overall a fantastic week spent with family. Would rent again.

A Nice House with so much potential.

Great House, great location. Spent a week at Another Sea Esta and enjoyed our time. The house is in need of some thorough cleaning or a good deep clean. Carpet really looking like it needs replaced, dirty and really worn from traffic. Air vents dirty, spider webs from lights/corners. Lots of "fixes" around the interior that were done by someone who probably didn’t know what they were doing. Some lights had bulbs out. So nice having direct and private access to the beach but the deck and platform/steps are in need of replacement. Wood very worn and weathered. A lot of nails sticking up. Platform at beach wobbly. Very poor craftsmanship when it was replaced/fixed. Crooked and leaning a bit. Safe? Yes, it wasn’t going anywhere but really pieced together compared to the neighbors. Elevator no issues. Great having so many bedrooms and bathrooms. Having 2 dishwashers and 2 sets of washer and dryers was really nice. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of towels for all the rooms. Pool was great all week, liner will need replaced soon. Hot tub at a terrible location. Had to completely clean the grill and remove all the caked in grease so we could use it without a grease fire. Once that was done it worked great. We bought little hitch pins to put in the gates leading to the pool and beach so the kids couldnt get them open. No biggie but as a extra precaution we chose to do that. WiFi was really poor, in and out the entire week. Not secure. All in all, great place and you will have a great week, it’s just that if a lot of little things were fixed the place would be incredible.

Dated McMansion Needs Upkeep

Although we were there off-season, the condition of the property was sub-standard. Sticky floors, hot tub inoperative and located at ground level with no view, cheap bathroom fixtures, poor layout, landscaping overgrown, dirty windows.

great location

The house was everything we needed/wanted. Every bedroom had its' own bathroom. The second floor walkway to the beach was great. Three refrigerators were a real bonus. The hot tub overlooking the beach was used frequently. The LOCAL rental agents were very helpful. Only concern is the wooden decks and walkways could use some TLC

Not worth it

I’ll start with the positives.. the house is very large and has plenty of room for everyone. It is well equipped and has everything you need. There are plenty of dishes, silverware and pot and pans. There are not a lot of glasses though. The views are amazing and the location is good. Now the negatives.., the elevator was not working during our stay. We were called and told about this prior to our stay and decided to still go. But because of the layout of the house an elevator is needed. Caring carrying groceries up all those stairs is not fun. Make sure the elevator is working is you stay here. It looked like there was a lot of storm damage ( no one to blame for that but Mother Nature). We were not aware of this. We had no direct access to the beach and one of the hot tubs was blocked off due to the damage of the deck. The other hot tub barely had enough water to cover the jets and had cob webs and dirt all through it. It looked like it had not been used in a long time. So we had no working hot tubs. The kids used the jetted bath tub ( since no hot tub) and the tub immediately filled with mold when the jets were turned on. The entire left side house had no hot water. Ot got luke warm at best. So even though every bedroom has its own bathroom ( which was very nice) we all had to shower in one of the times on the right side of the house. And now for the worst…. There was vomit in the washing machine when we arrived. Unfortunately this was not noticed until a load of clothes was ran through. So one of our guests had to replace most of their clothes because obviously no one is going to wear clothes covered in someone’s vomit. I sent several unanswered emails and 2 unanswered voicemails were left. I still have not heard from anyone regarding our issues. There are too many other houses and companies to choose from in the area. Stay somewhere else.

Not so good

The house was very clean when we arrived. The 9 bed rooms each with a bath room was a nice bonus, but our stay could have been much more enjoyable if the accesses to the Had been child proof latches; beach chairs been provided; cleaning service had provided during middle weekend and; the coded door lock had been repaired.

Another Sea Esta

Loved:. View and beachfront location. Comfortable beds. Kitchen very well equipped. Two washers and dryers. Double dining room with lots of seating. Lots of storage space. Bedroom situation good (only one double bunk room). One of few event houses available. Rated 4 for location and view. Disappointments:. House needs updating and lots of small repairs needed. Beach almost disappears at high tide. We had to hunt around for blankets and bath towels that were not in each designated room but spread around in bedroom closets.

4.5 Star Beach House!

Lots of good stuff about this house overshadowed the small problems here and there. Everyone that stayed there had a great time. The house is big and accommodated a large party with no problems. The beds are relatively comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked so we didn't use some of the things we brought with us. There's a refrigerator on each level which is nice when you have a lot of people staying there. The washing machine and dryer were used frequently with no issues. The pool and hot tubs were clean and also serviced while we were there. The views of the beach were great, and the walkway to the direct beach access was short. One of the hot tubs is at the end of the walkway overlooking the beach and ocean. It was used every night. The kids enjoyed using the boogie boards and skim boards located next to the pool. One of the small issues we noticed was some of the sliding doors were difficult to open and close. Probably a mixture of frequent use and saltwater corrosion. Bring 13 gal trash bags for the 4 garbage cans in the kitchen and smaller trash bags for the bedrooms & bathrooms. The outside of the house had a lot of dead bugs caught in the screens and on the walls. The inside living areas also had some dead bugs stuck to the wall. The last tip is that most of the beach houses for rent in Duck & Corolla start around 3-4pm and stop around 9-10am on Saturdays. This means that a LOT of traffic is either moving north or south on a single road causing stop-n-go traffic that lasts for hours. Plan accordingly and have a lot of patience. The people that left before 7am didn't have that many issues with traffic.

Great house, PERFECT location, minimal issues

House was great. Location Great. Hot tub over the ocean was amazing, especially when the rip currents banned swimming. Great pool and second hot tub. LOVED how each room had it's own bathroom. Kitchen was large and great for cooking for a large group. Only issue at all was outside wasn't very tidy, outdoor shower backed up and was un-usable, screens were off and apparently the whole area is having issues with spiders, which they came in and sprayed for when I called to complain. I would definitely recommend this house and stay here again.

Not a great stay

Smoke alarms continued to go off in the middle of the night. We had fire department out twice. Maintenance was out numerous times. Outdoor water issues. Non functioning ice maker, lower level dryer, middle floor A/C, and others. House was outdated and very dirty.

Nicely appointed house with a view that can't be beat!

We enjoyed our stay at Another Sea Esta very much! The kitchen has all the dishes and cookware we needed. We loved being able to look out at the ocean. Even on the rainy days we felt like we were still at the beach! The pool and the hot tub were great! The hot tub being up on the sand dunes with the view of ocean was fantastic, and from the houses around us appeared to be a unique feature. It was very nice that the bedding and towels were provided, but we wished that there would have been some nicer blankets. There were a few good ones but not enough for all the beds. Some of the blankets had holes in them and were dirty. I would take my own blankets next time. It also would have been helpful to have some extra bath towels we were provided with just enough for each person to have one for the whole week. We also didn't feel like the cleaning service had done a very good job. The one bunk room had stains on the toilet. One of the bathrooms had some kind of dirty marks on the floor. The stairs didn't seem to have been vacuumed. Really all of our complaints were minor compared to the things we really enjoyed about the house.
