We will make sure to always visit this amazing place. It’s pure magic. Access to the river, amazing wildlife, peace and off the beaten path. The accommodations were wonderful and they have thought of everything for the traveler to have the best time We hope to be able to come back here for visits to come! Thank you so much!
The location was good. The pictures outside need to be updated. The size of the home worked out great. The porches had not been cleaned. We have stayed at many rentals and we were disappointed we had to purchase soap, toilet tissue, and paper towels. Usually there is some suppled. But overall we had a great time. Just needs a good cleansing.
Amazing cabin to stay in!! Great home layout many home features provided for your needs. Beautiful surrounding. Just Off the beaten path far enough to get away yet only 20 minutes or so to get anything needed!! Pool table, hot tub, and a nice cold creek to lounge in!! Will for sure stay in the future but will get even more days next time! We would move here in a second!! You will not regret the booking plenty of wild life to check out also!

A disappointment
I'll start with the positives: Wendy was great to work with and the house is located on the New River and my husband was able to fish. The negatives: the map is way off. It has most things around 6 miles away. There is nothing in Boone that you can get to in 6 miles. We tracked all the places we went to in Boone and they all were at least 7 miles and most 8-10 miles away. On top of that, the long winding country road seems like you are going even further. Blink and you will miss the street this house is on. It's a gravel road with deep potholes, over grown with greenery, and kind of creepy. There are only 3 houses and one is deserted. I can see why they tell you to make sure you have the appropriate vehicle to get here during the winter. It was a task getting there in the summer with all the winding roads. We made sure we were back before dark because there was no way we felt safe driving on those roads at night. Now the house. The kitchen counter is disgusting! It has a ton of stains in it to the point we didn't put anything on it and it looked dirty which it probably wasn't but the stains gave it that appearance. Some of the furniture was very old and needed to be painted. I agree with one review about the deck. At top of all the cobwebs, the furniture could be replaced with something new. The upstairs queen bed was very uncomfortable. I woke up with a backache every morning. The hardwood floors need to be redone. Tons of scratches in it and worn. I don't quite understand the 5 star ratings. Overall, I do not recommend and would not go back.

We loved having meals on the deck and watching the deer and fawn play. The river was a beautiful view while we soaked in the hot tub after hiking all day. The pool table added much evening enjoyment!! Thank you for a fabulous week in the mountains!!
We absolutely loved this place. We went for a short 3 day getaway. It was so peaceful and relaxing. House was very nice, had everything needed for our stay. Our dogs loved it also. The house was clean but the deck area had a lot of cobwebs and deck floor was dusty/dirty, we know that decks can get dusty but this seemed like the deck hadn't been tended to in quite awhile, other than that it was great. We would definitely rent this cabin again. Lots of attractions nearby to check out and absolutely beautiful area. We look forward to going back again.
