Wonderful stay at Darlene's

We had a wonderful stay at Darlene's Estate. We enjoyed talking with her and she was incredibly easy to contact with needed details prior to our arrival. Breakfast was delicious! We hope to visit again soon.

Step Back in Time to a Magical World

Okay...so I may be a bit unusual about what I find to be magical, but if you were ever a child that hid in giant story-filled closets and roamed halls in big houses making discoveries, or wandered in gardens dreaming, then Darlene's place is that place. Such an intriguing property, and the lady herself is what I would call "a gem". My room was perfect...if you've dreamed of the most expensive bedding experience...this is it. Darlene has a passion for linens and if you are lucky she will show you all her massive collection of every exquisite tablecloth, sheet and napkin she has even collected. Her garden area defies words...like a lost world of flowering vines and tree and flowers. The breakfast she made me...well, just call me spoiled because she found out my history and love for fine china in a casual setting, so she made me homemade German pancake with fruit, served on fine china but in an intimate relaxed setting. I came to Mexico to visit a loved one, but spent as much time with Darlene in conversation and wondrous discovery of her collections of china, linens, sewing talent, gardening extravaganza than I did my relatives! Shhhh, don't tell. I left with some treasures I begged Darlene to sell me for my own home and sadness this lady didn't live in my town. What an experience. God Bless her giant creative heart. JA

Snow Seeker

Can’t say enough kind words about the property owner, thoroughly enjoyed our visit with her by the fire pit 😊 Although we were there in January, it is evident the home and grounds are very well kept and spectacular in the spring/summer season. We reserved the guest house, a lovely private space with luxurious bedding . Thx for the cheesecake! Planning a return trip to bring my 84 year old mother in summer. Highly recommend a stay with Ms Darlene.
