About this property

When you enter this recently renovated, fully furnished, 15th floor 1-bedroom apartment in Marbella Oeste, you are WOWED by the stunning 180° view from the balcony of beautiful Isla Verde Beach, the best beach in all of San Juan. The open kitchen design affords a communal ambiance while encompassing lots of work and cabinet space for those wishing to cook. There is plenty of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, small electrics (microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, etc.), a dishwasher, as well as a full-sized stove and refrigerator. The bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed. The bathroom has a tub with shower, towels and a hair dryer. The washer/dryer in the hall along with laundry detergent provides easy maintenance of beach and bath towels. The flat screen TV in the living room is connected to a DVR/cable box and Firestick. High speed wireless enables the use of tablets, laptops and cellphones for work or play. A notebook with the condominium rules, information about the apartment and area, and instructions for operating the dishwasher is provided. Renters are welcome to add comments.

Air-conditioning and ceiling fans, high speed WiFi, full kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, living/dining room with oceanfront balcony, comfortable king-sized bed, flat screen TVs, rattan furnishings and ceramic tile floors offer all the comforts of home in a tranquil, tropical setting. Sheets, bath and beach towels, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and plasticware are provided along with cleaning supplies, laundry detergent and starter paper towels and toilet paper. In addition, there is 24-hour security.

The pool area has lounge and sit-up chairs. Rental of lounge chairs and umbrellas are available on the beach. There is NO PARKING SPACE available, but Uber, taxis and buses are readily available.

Located in the heart of the Isla Verde tourist area, we are surrounded by restaurants, shopping and the fabulous El San Juan Hotel and Casino, as well Royal Sonesta Hotel, and the Embassy Suites, which also has a casino. Water sports, including jet skis, banana boats and parasailing, etc. are available east on our beach in front of ESJ Towers. In addition, we are about 5 minutes from San Juan's International Airport: Luis Munos Marin Airport and only 15 minutes away from Condado and 20 minutes from Old San Juan.

Beautiful Views

The condo was wonderful. It was perfect for my husband and I for a long weekend getaway. The host is very responsive and communicates promptly. The condo is as beautiful in person as the pictures. It was very clean and well supplied. Great place! We will be back.

Beautiful oceanside apartment

Wow, what a view! The apartment is on the 15th floor and there are 4 elevators. It was an easy check-in process. The unit is tastefully decorated and the bed and furniture very comfortable. There are 4 padded chairs and a table on the balcony overlooking the beach; we spent a lot of time there! There is easy access to the beach. We never used the pool but it looked nice. The kitchen is fully equipped (dishes are in the closet; not the cabinets). Plenty of towels are provided, including 4 beach towels. The A/C unit and control are in the bathroom closet. We found that closing the bathroom door at night quieted the on/off noise of the A/C. The unit has wi-fi with easy instructions. The building itself is a quick ride from the airport and is on a busy street with lots of restaurants and shops. We used the Walgreens across the street for food & wine purchases. It's an easy walk to the Royal Sonesta (great beach bar and food) and the San Juan Hotel (great live music and cocktails). We used Uber to get to Old San Juan, La Placita, Bacardi, and a sunset cruise. Communication with Nora was easy. We highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful Condo

The only complaint I have is the parking situation. If you need a car during your stay, then this place cab be inconvenient. It says "parking on site" but in the description it says no parking. There is a lot across the street behind the walgreens but it fills up during the day if you are not in there. There is a CVS parking garage a couple blocks away but it is not cheap. It ended up being ok but having a car is a can be a challenge. If you don't need a car then this place is perfect. Literally 5m from the airport, balcony facing the ocean, full view of the beach, and a 5m walk out of the building and into the ocean (shorter but have to take the elevator). It is a perfect spot. Clean condo, everything you need for cooking, staying, etc. I would absolutely rent this place again, even if I needed a car. Nora is responsive and a great host.

The unit is as advertised. Not super fancy, but clean, and spacious for our family of four. Great location! Awesome ocean view of the Isla Verde beach from the lanai. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Loved Isla Verde beach. This was our first visit to Puerto Rico, and we loved Puerto Rico! Lots to do and see, and friendly local people.

Wonderful Condo on Isla Verde Beach

Our stay was great at this condo. We have had extended stays at 3 other places on the beach in the last few years and this was our favorite. The location is perfect and the unit was clean and nice in every way. It had every convenience, a beautiful view with a balcony we almost lived on, and the furnishing, including the linens were beautiful. Nora was very responsive any time I reached out to her. I would not only stay here again, but I would also recommend it to my friends and family.

Beautiful ocean view

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in this 15th floor ocean front condo. The apartment was very clean and supplied with the basics. We strolled on the beach, swam in the pool and walked to nearby restaurants and stores. Two of our favorite activities during our stay were the Old San Juan Food and Culture tour and a visit to El Yunque National Forest. The Puerto Rican people we met were very friendly and gracious.

The views from the balcony are great - the beach is very nice in front of the condo - the condo itself was very clean - has everything we needed - its an older building and the whole area is still recovering a bit from the hurricane - but nothing that distracts from the stay - there is a rooftop bar 2 buildings down that is a great place for a drink - there is a Walgreen's just across the street - Ubers are numerous and quick in front of building - about $6 to old San Juan - easy to get out of town to el Yunque ( there is an Enterprise rent a car 4 blocks down) you have to take a taxi from airport to condo - about a mile - $15 but you can take an Uber back to airport -$4

Great location on Isla Verde. Very Good community and value. Sparkling clean upon arrival

We are a family of 4 with two kids (3,8) so when we travel we rent apts. All the basics of home were there, except a dishwasher, the twin beds and 2nd full bathroom were a big plus. We enjoyed being on a high floor with full ocean view, as the beach gets loud on weekend nights with nearby nightlife. Property would benefit from updated furnishing, stock of paper towels/toilet paper/hand soap and more beach supplies to avoid having to rent chairs/umbrellas on the beach for $20/day. A good value for the price and would recommend it to others without reservation.

Great view of the beach

This condo is on the 15th floor of a very nice building and has a balcony overlooking the beach. The views are spectacular. It was especially nice to witness fireworks when we were there for New Year's Eve. The beach in front of the building wasn't very crowded and the ocean waves weren't overly strong. The pool is pleasant although it's not heated. The accommodation is very nice--beds are great, rooms have everything you need. As for the ants that are sometimes mentioned, they are so small, you can barely see them but when you do, one spray of Raid will exterminate them. Not a problem at all. I would definitely rent this again.

Ants, Broken Everything & Unreasonable Owner & Lack of Air Conditioning!!! Don't Rent Here!

We arrived in the condo for a 14 day stay with our 1 year old daughter. Upon arrival, the condo was warm. Approximately 75 degrees in the main rooms and above 80 in the bathrooms! The Central Air is not working so Nora, the owner, has purchased the smallest Air conditioners one can buy. If I am paying for a 14 night vacation, I want to be able to have a reasonable 70 degree temp in the condo which will never happen with the insufficient and tiny air conditioning units on a tropical island and the climate it has. Now to the bigger issues. The kitchen has ants, tiny & fast ants running all over. Again, we have a 1 year old daughter and having ants all over her food, bottles and other materials why they lay on paper towels and the drying rack, is unsanitary and unacceptable. The apartment had old, very old everything. The lamps are broken, the blinds came crashing to the floor as we tried to open them (the blinds seemed as if they were purchased in 1980!), the coffee pot, stool and other areas of the unit were disgustingly coated with grime and dirt. The linen, bed covers are all old!! They also had been washed it seemed but had stains all over them from previous renters. After calling Home Away and Nora numerous times, Nora sent a cleaning person to address some of the issues. The lady knocked on the door without scheduling an appointment! She had exactly 1 sponge and 1 can of air freshener to address the multitude of issues. I'm not sure how she is going to address the lack of cold air, the ants all over the kitchen, the old, dated and falling apart lights, blinds, stained bed linen with a sponge and can of air freshener. After sending numerous pictures to Home Away and also texting, emailing and calling Nora, no one seemed to care about my families experience and living conditions. I sent 15 photos to Home Away and they said that the condition of the condo is unacceptable but I must stay without any opportunity of a refund and allow crews to come in and fix the issues. Nora, the owner, first told me to spray Raid in the kitchen with a 1 year old baby girl. To sum this up, we booked another condo and left this rental after two nights. We are not unreasonable people but to spray raid, live in heat and accept old & broken everything is absurd and unacceptable. Nora never once apologized for the condition of the condo or had any concern for our family experiencing all of this, including our 1 year old baby being in such a situation. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Great location and view!

Everything for the most part was excellent during our stay. The view from this condo was exquisite. There were a lot of sugar ants in the kitchen, so we had to refrigerate everything to ensure ants did not get into anything. The only other issue, which was of no fault to our host, was the fobs for beach access did not work the majority of our stay and we had to walk around to the public beach access to access the beach and to get back to the condo. Otherwise, we had a very comfortable stay.

I previously owned 6 apartments in condominium Marbella del Caribe for over 33 years, but sold 5 of them and "retired." I am now ready to get back into the renting. I have enjoyed a reputation for the best apartments and many of my previous renters have begged me to start up again because they liked my apartments so much. I travel to Puerto Rico several times a year so that I can make sure everything is in excellent condition and is fully equipped.

Why they chose this property

I've been going to Puerto Rico since 1968. I've stayed in many condos and hotels along the Isla Verde and Condado Tourist areas. I find Condominium Marbella del Caribe to be the best, by far. In fact, I've owned an apartment in another condo/hotel, but sold it because the Marbella del Caribe condominium has the best beachfront, the complex is kept in great condition, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

What makes this property unique

1. A quick flight from mainland U.S.
2. Part of the U.S. so no worries about foreign government, currency, etc. and no passport needed from the U.S.
3. Beautiful weather year-round. Average temp is 87 in the summer and 82 in the winter.
4. A clean and comfortable apartment that is well kept and updated often.
5. Isla Verde Beach is the most beautiful beach in San Juan and it is right out the back door. In addition, this location offers something for everyone...whether it be a quite vacation, one with exciting night life, or one that offers wonderful tourists attractions, this condo is for you.
