---This is a rare beautiful open concept condo right on Wells Beach! This listing is the second story unit with porch views of the ocean. This brand new home has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms as well as an eat in large kitchen island that seats 6+, an open concept kitchen/dining and living room. There is also Full Laundry (washer/dryer) included with your unit. The interior is super bright with natural light.

The exterior of the home features on-site enclosed garaged parking, a gas grill and a sizeable deck with great new furniture. This stand out property has private deeded beach access and is located on sandy Wells Beach and the restaurants, retail stores, arcade, bakery, microbrewery and so many more amenities that this area has to offer.

I included a full video walkthrough of the home. In two of the bedrooms there will be bunkbeds instead of the single beds and the kitchen island will be larger but the rest is exactly the same.

The photo you show of the building is premature. That building is to be built this fall. We stayed in the older duplex that is to be replaced. Hopefully, new build will be well maintained, furnished, and cleaned properly prior to guests arrival. Location is excellent. Walking distance to Forbes Restaurant and the Arcade. Close to beach access. The new build should have excellent view of the Atlantic Ocean and sunrise. Host was quick to respond to our messages.parking for 4 vehicles…5 if small vehicles.

Awesome location but needs serious maintenance

The location is perfect: it is just across the street from a really nice beach. There was also plenty of room and beds for the 6 of us (4 adults, 2 kids). The place is in need of quite a bit of maintenance though. It is managed remotely so if you have issues during your stay, not much can be done quickly (there was an issue connecting the grill to the propane tank and we were offered to go buy the fix ourselves or wait 3 days to get it). The place only gets cleaned in surface, so some items (A/C units, ceiling fans, blinds, stovetop burners, etc) are really dirty. It is also lacking proper dishes and had only 2 wine glasses between the 2 units. So, to sum it up, the place is well located and can accomodate a small group comfortably for an enjoyable beach vacation, but it is not maintained with care.

Great place to reconnect

This property has a great location for a family summer beach gathering. The double sided home allowed us to have multiple families stay comfortably, allowing the ideal mix of togetherness and privacy! Wells is a place my wife grew up visiting with her family and this place allowed us to introduce the magic to our kids!

Spacious cottage with ideal location

My family stayed at this cottage where there certainly was an abundance of room for everyone! It had all the amenities as listed and just steps to the ocean! We brought our dog which was an added bonus. We would love to return next year!

Exactly what we needed!

Great little spot so close to the beach. We did a 7 friends “Ladies Weekend “ here and it was perfect. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable and everything we needed. And the beach is literally across the street. The owner is very responsive. The porch is so sunny and had plenty of room to hang out and relax! Highly recommend this location if you’re looking to enjoy close access to a great beach!

Beautiful Beach Front Home

This Wells Beach , Maine home is perfect, Lots of space , the two family makes getting away with a big family or friends comfortable for everyone. Walking right across the street to the beach is perfect. Very clean summer home. We will definitely stay here hopefully every summer, finally found the perfect place!!👏👏👏

Great family house to rent. Location was good.

Great house. The beach was directly across the street which was very convenient. Plenty of room and beds were nice and comfy. Would recommend renting . Lots of different restaurants in Wells, also short driving distance to Perkins cove in ogunquit. There is an arcade and playground that you can walk to for the children. Would recommend.

Location, Location, Location

Certainly every vacation house has a charm all its own, this one is no different, but this one comes with a huge bonus - perfect location. If you’re familiar with the Wells Beach area (and surrounding), then you know staying right down by the beach on Atlantic Ave (close to Mile Rd) is the perfect location. Right across the street is the private walkway to the beautiful beach. The charm of this house is in the style of simple meets utilitarian with ample seating, convenient washer and dryer, and lots of beds. The split-sided house makes sharing the house with family or friends super appealing — full kitchens and bathrooms on either side. Lots of beach chairs and other beach amenities on the side of the house but also on the relaxing deck. Highly recommend!

Fun place

This location is ideal for the beach and walking to the local restaurant Forbes. We rented both sides and found that it was nice for those who didn't want to stay up late and party on vacation. I would highly recommend this place.

I’ve hesitating writing this review because I do r like to say anything bad, but wants others to be careful. We went at the end of the season and the entire cottage was worn down. The furniture was stained and broken. The floors had the slippery feel as if someone poured cleaner on it, but didn’t bother rinsing. The window in the bedroom was broken. The whole place was really disappointing, especially given the amount we had spent per night. I do not recommend

Loved this place!

My girlfriends and I (and our three kids under 2y/o) stars for thee nights and we loved it! Matt was so responsive and the place is exactly like the pictures - it was great! The location was amazing and don’t be deterred by the previous reviews - we are not “fancy” but really did have a great stay!

Stayed here for a long weekend with my family of 5. This is a great spot for a family vacation. One minute walk to town area and beach. Owner was responsive and helpful. We had a blast. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time!

Although expecting beachfront, this property is literally a minute walk to the beach. The home was clean when we arrived and although there were some minor issues(a couple of burned out bulbs, slow drain in one of the bathroom sinks), overall, the house suited our needs. The owner asked us what he needed to do to improve the overall experience and I'm confident he will follow up. Directions for use of the TV would help, although we were to figure out after a while. I guess the biggest questions to be answered are: Would we stay here again?...yes. And the second question is: Is the property a good value for the cost? Again, the answer is yes.

Wells Beach Gem

I must admit I was a little apprehensive to book this place because of some of the negative reviews but the location looked ideal for my family with 3 kids from 3-9 so I took the plunge for our short stay in Wells and I am so glad we did. This place is in the best location. Beach access is directly across the street and there is a little village about 100 feet away with shops including an arcade and candy store so it was perfect for the kids. We could walk to anything we needed. On top of that a short drive away there are great restaurants and Congdon’s donuts which might make the best donuts I’ve ever had. Now the house itself could definitely use some updating but it is nothing like it was described in other reviews. It is a typical beach cottage and when I rent a beach cottage I don’t want to spend much time inside of it anyway. There was plenty of silverware and even some nice lobster pots that we used to cook lobsters from wells beach lobster pound. Maybe the previous reviewers didn’t bother to check in both kitchens. It appears most of the utensils wander into one kitchen when one family stays there because it is basically a connected two family. Long story short, this place is perfect for two families or one large family/group and some of those previous reviews were dramatic to say the least. The owner Matt actually reached out to me after I booked and explained that he had just purchased the place and it came fully furnished. He said that they intended on updating some of the furniture and decor but wanted to get through their first summer season first. So he said to expect updates for next year. I told him I thought the place was fine as is (except for the deck furniture) but updates would definitely be welcome for our stay next year because we will definitely be back. Truly a great beach cottage in the absolute best location. Four stars for now but if updated like promised 5 stars all the way.

Just a good location...nothing else

While the location was very good and communication with the owner was satisfactory, the house was poorly equipped and not in good shape. For example, the house had no coffee pot (yes, it had a Keurig, but no reusable filter, so it was useless). It had one wine glass. I am not sure if we were supposed to take turns with it or just pass it around like communion. Additionally, the bathroom had no toilet paper dispenser. The kitchen chairs on one side were in poor condition (one was mildewed and broken). The house was adequately cleaned but not great. The couches were stained and the shower floor needed a good bleaching. On the upside, the location was lovely, directly across the street from the beach. It had lots of beds, which was a plus. If I were 19 and going there with a bunch of college kids, it might have been fine. But, for a group of women in our late 50s, it lacked even the most basic amenities. This place is fair at best.
