Red Raven is a three bedroom, two bathroom home located in the gated community of Riverbend at Lake Lure. If you are looking for both a mountain getaway & lake vacation, this is the place for you! All new furnishings include leather living room furniture, 55" smart TV, all new beds, mattresses and hotel-style bedding. Each bedroom has its own theme: Bear's Den (master bedroom with on-suite) has a king sized pine log bed; Wilderness has a queen size bed and Lake Life room has two full size beds to sleep 8 people comfortably. Enjoy a beverage on the covered porch or back deck with wooded mountain views. You will find privacy and tranquility in this secluded part of the community, while still having access to all the amenities (2 private lakes, beach area, pavilion with grills, walking trails, swimming hole, waterfalls and half-mile of the Broad River ALL WITHIN THE GATES OF RIVERBEND! Weekend Get Away!
Cabin was exactly what we expected. Beautiful decor, secluded, and peaceful. The entire property was perfect for a quick stay and some water fun! I think the family enjoyed the Broad River down by the Hickory Nut Lower Lake. The cabin and its whimsical decor has my wife thinking of redecorating our house now, so I guess that's a win for Thomasina! The Bear Den was perfect! The proximity to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock gave us a couple of things to do, but we loved the ability to just relax at the cabin and nature watch from the back deck. We will definitely consider rebooking in the future. Oh, and as always LaStrada is a great place for Lunch, I knew Stan and his wife when they were in Charlotte.

Wonderful stay!
Well appointmented home in Riverbend, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed the amenities within the community as well. Located conveniently to local sites in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.

Great space for our large family. So much to do nearby, in fact some right in the neighborhood with the small lake, beach, and river access/ swimming hole. The house was clean and comfortable with anything you need including a well stocked kitchen. We would definitely stay here again!

Red Raven Cabin was beyond clean, comfortable, roomy, and equipped for our 4-night stay. Communication with the owner was top-notch: best I've ever had thru VRBO. The cabin sits at the end of a climbing, winding, gravel road. But: if our older Ford Edge could handle it, most other vehicles could as well. No keys necessary for entry=convenience. Ambiance and decor were warm and inviting. Furniture and beds were perfectly comfy with plenty of extra blankets; kitchen well-stocked for fixing meals (maybe add a colander/strainer to drain pasta?); and bathrooms decked out "hotel style," with mounted blow dryers and little toiletries. We watched a few movies on Netflix in the evenings (a treat to have a large cozy sofa, love seat and oversize chair to spread out on), and we enjoyed both porches and the gas grill as well. Lake Lure is a quaint, picturesque, well-maintained area. Just lovely. Cabin is 20-ish minutes from Chimney Rock State Park (a must do), and 40 mins to kayaking the Lower Green River. Grocery store ("Ingles"--amazing! not your small-town market---has everything and then some!) is maybe 8 minutes away at most, and the owner provides an Ingles "reward card" for renter's use. Now THAT'S taking care of the guest! Owner also provides a comprehensive digital guide that puts everything you need to know about renting Red Raven in one pretty little package. Loved it. From beginning to end a flawless experience. Highly, highly recommend! Thank you, Thomasina!

The home decor is so cute. But the fall view of leaves changing from the back deck while sipping my coffee each morning was amazing. I love the home/area and would definitely rent again.

Great House to Enjoy the Mountains
Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying at Red Raven. The house sits at the end of the road providing privacy, views and space for kids to play and explore outside. Communication with the owner was excellent and the thoughtful touch of pancake mix and syrup as a welcome gift was a hit with the whole family. House was well appointed, kitchen well stocked and the beds were very comfy. The neighborhood is quiet and has 2 lakes for paddling and a beach (for the summer). The location is close to all Lake Lure has to offer – would definitely recommend.

Excellent Property!
This property exceeded our expectations! It was absolutely beautiful in a picturesque setting inside the lovely community of RiverBend. It is very secluded and peaceful yet close to all Lake Lure and Chimney Rock have to offer. All furnishings are new and gorgeous and so comfortable you will never want to leave. It was the most well stocked VRBO we have ever stayed in. The owners have paid close attention to detail & allowed us to have a carefree stay that we thoroughly enjoyed. We fell in love with the Red Raven Cabin & can’t wait to plan our next trip!

Restful family vacay
The property was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We very much enjoyed the wonderful assortment of board games and playing cards provided. The neighborhood was very quiet and the lake, nature trail and swimming hole/river included within the neighborhood were very enjoyable. Thomasina was a very attentive host and responded very quickly to any questions. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon!

Our family of 5 loved everything about the Red Raven Cabin! The views, the amenities, the semi-private neighborhood, the peacefulness, the beauty...it had it all! We didn't want to leave! The location was convenient to reach attractions like Chimney Rock, downtown Lake Lure, and zip lining.

Great Week Stay with Family
We spent a week here with the grandparents and kids and had a great time. The location of the house was great and the lake in the neighborhood is amazing. Our kids had a fantastic time swimming and they have an awesome picnic shelter with rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the view of the lake. The house was exactly as advertised. They have done a good job at thinking of some of the extras including life jackets and a bunch of good family games. Make sure to download the app and review all of the check in information and directions right before you arrive. The app's directions help as the gps can have issues. The app was very helpful. We texted back and forth with the owner while we were there with a few questions and they always responded very quickly. There are so many amazing things to do at Lake Lure. We are looking forward to our next vacation to Lake Lure!

Just enough Seclusion
Great house at the end of a culdesac by itself. In a nice wooded area. House was clean, well stocked and everything was in working order. There really is everything you need. After I went to the grocery store, we could have stayed at the house for our entire visit. My wife and I enjoyed the property a great deal as we like to hike we were able to walk in the community and feel like we were on a hiking trail. We would definitely stay again. Owner was fantastic with communication. When I had a question they answered it within minutes.

Beautiful neighborhood,
This area is a little slice of heaven! The neighborhood is just perfect. There is a public beach at the neighborhood lake, a nature hike along the river, a swimming hole at the river- all in a gated private community. You are also only a few miles from the main lake-Lake Lure/Morse park, where there is a playground, a public beach with lifeguards on duty and beautiful walking trails. The house was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and the owners stocked the house with a starter supply of toiletries and other items. They even left out a sweet note with pancake mix for breakfast. We traveled with our 1 year old and 4 year old and this house was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect romantic getaway!!
This is my review.. This was my fist time going to lake Lure it was an impromptu romantic getaway trip. The Host answered all my questions before coming. The host also allowed an early check in and late checkout.They sent me a link about the property the do’s and don’ts ect. This was a little piece of heaven.. The kitchen was fully stocked, it was clean and very updated. The house was perfect but the best part was the partial lake view the clean crisp air and the scenery. If you want a place to go relax from the hustle and bustle this is the place to go.. I would definitely recommend this place..
