Great place to unwind and relax. The creek was amazing and cabin was great!!!!! Clean and plenty of room for three people. The loft was very spacious. This was a great place to observe the the beauty of the area!
My husband and I visited here with our kids, ages 4, 7, 10. Everyone loved it! The kids stayed in/around the creek almost all day every day, and the cabin was perfect for playing games and watching movies. They provide lots of games, so that was a huge bonus. Gary was communicative and answered any questions promptly. It was so clean! Really close to Oark General Store for a great lunch. My kids are already asking for a summer trip to come back!
This place is very secluded, quiet and peaceful. The cabin is well appointed with all your basic needs. Bring food with you unless you want to drive a while! Overall a great getaway.
We loved being in the forest. The cabin was great and had everything we needed. No cell service was a blessing. We had great WiFi so could still entertain the kids at night. They were obsessed with the creek in front of the house. Communication was really great and we had all the information we needed. Would definitely stay again!
This cabin was absolutely perfect for my family. Super clean and stocked with everything we needed. Quiet, secluded and a fun adventure to get to! We ended up arriving well after dark and got a little lost. The host was super helpful with helping us find our way back. Communication on point! Immediate and efficient responses at any time of the day! 10/10 Will definitely rebook if we're ever back in the area!
Our family enjoyed our stay! The cabin was extremely clean, and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were there for Thanksgiving, and we can't wait to come back in the summer!
Marker was mailbox I never seen! But was delayed with A Birthday party arrived at 2am ! Quite late!
Drive way is 2.7 miles down panther creek road drive is on left right before I think was the fifth bridge
Big 🐓 metal in a fence ! Hard to find but was exactly what I was looking for!
Just an amazing 2 days! So secluded and peaceful under the tall trees. Sun peaks through and man a great place to just hang out and unwind. Creek is just in front of cabin maybe a couple hundred feet and just the right amount of water flowing. Mid July, but humidity was lower and the shade made all the difference. Not many bugs around the cabin or the water.
The cabin had everything you would need as far as basics, very clean and stocked. AC worked just fine to keep it cool in the evening and over night. Make sure you gas up before you get within the last hr of arriving, no stations around.
I will probably be booking again as this was just what the son and I needed, a great get away spot with some seclusion. Big thanks to the owners, very responsive to text and knowledge of the area. Thank you for the Arkansas experience!
My husbands family is from Oark. We love to go down for the weekend. It was our first time in a cabin cause it was gonna storm. Best desicion ever! I think this may be our go to place down here. It excedded our expectations! And the host is amazing. Great communication.
Wonderful spot in the woods with a peaceful creek. We had fires in the pit each night and grilled on the excellent charcoal grill. We stood in the stream and witnessed the total eclipse. The next day, we drove the tha Alum natural bridge area.
We spent a long weekend here for our anniversary. The cabin was comfortable and clean. We were very happy with our stay. The views are beautiful and it was beyond peaceful. We loved sitting on the porch listening to the sound of the river with our morning coffee & evening glass of wine. It was the perfect way to unwind at the end of each day. They have a basket full of brochures from the area that was helpful (for non planners like us). We went to Wilderness Rider and rented a UTV to ride the trails after finding a brochure in the basket. A must for the area is visiting the Oark General Store and getting a fried pie. A week later I’m still dreaming about that pie!
We absolutely loved our time at this cabin. It was roomier than I was expecting, squeaky clean, was well decorated and even had seasonal decorations up, which I appreciated. Beds were comfy, views were beautiful, I could go on and on. We loved the assortment of games available and sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch listening to the creek. We plan to come back!
We enjoyed the cabin. We had 4 adults with us. We initially were going to have 6, but 2 were unable to come. It ended up working out best, as there was only enough living room space for 4 of us. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed time out by the fire, exploring the grounds, and did some hiking at The Glory Hole Waterfall and Lost Valley, Buffalo National River. It was perfect for our 3 day getaway in the wilderness.
The trip started with great communication in advance of arrival by the hosts; they provided local insight and information to assist us with planning our 4 day visit. The cabin is remote, well-equipped, quiet and accommodating! We plan to return in the future and cannot thank the hosts enough for ensuring our visit was perfect.
We explored the national forest via trails and county roads in our OHV. We did not get in our truck one time during our stay.
R and R for the win, allowing us to recharge and enjoy nature as well as the scenery and wildlife.
Truly a great cabin, location, and hosts!
If you're looking for isolation this is the place. SUV or truck is probably needed as you have gravel and low water bridges along with a shallow creek crossing to get in to the property. But the trip is worth it. Go when it's been raining. The creek will be dry during drought like we have had recently. Say hello to the dogs who chase your car as you go by for me please.
