Great location for exploring the surrounding national parks. The village of Cloudcroft has plenty of hikes and things to do as well. We loved the wood stove and the well equipped kitchen for big family meals.
Bear Paw had plenty of space for 6 people. The area was quiet in the evenings and at night, but you were only a couple of minutes from everything in Cloudcroft. We had a great time and look forward to going back.
Spacious home in the Lincoln National forest. Owner was easy to contact and helpful. Property had everything we needed and had lots of room. Lots of deer and elk roam throughout the neighborhood. Check out nearby Cloudcroft Brewing for some great beer and pizza!
We loved this house. It is exactly what you would want out of a cabin. Lots of wood inside and in a wooded area outside. Charming and very well stocked. We had 3 young boys in our group ages 4-6 and the loft area provided an excellent segregated place for them to be and play while we would still hear what was going on and be able to monitor them. Great place and the booking and communication with the owner was a breeze.
This property is really beautiful with pinewood throughout. You are smelling the clean, fresh, pine-scented air and enjoying soft breezes through the trees as you enjoy a getaway from the desert heat in the lowlands. We were one couple and one additional adult family member, so the property was more than comfortable for us. There are two bedrooms with queen-sized beds and an open loft on the third floor that share a full bath. The middle floor is the main living area with a TV and a very large table for eating and a fully-equipped kitchen that includes a washer and dryer. There is one bedroom with a king-sized bed and full bath with a jetted tub on this middle floor. The bottom floor contains the main entry which opens right up into a complete, separate, over-sized bedroom which is open to the middle floor by way of an open stairway. This room is lovely and does feel fairly private with its own full bath, king-sized bed, large sofa, 2 overstuffed chairs and TV with Blu-ray, but it does not have a door to close to permit full privacy from the middle floor, and all comings and goings must walk right through this bedroom from the outside. Everything in the home is very high-end quality, and we found the beds and all furniture extremely comfortable to the point that it was hard to leave! The entire Cloudcroft Village area is very peaceful, so we're looking forward to returning soon.
Our family enjoyed staying in this beautiful cabin home! Lana our host was kind and very helpful! Our booking dates included a surprise snow storm! She had a man clean out the road and driveway for us! The snow was breathtaking and the quaint community of Cloudcroft! Loved it! Will stay here again! Thank you!
