Great Place

Updated in all the right places. Very comfortable for a family of 4. About a 2 minute drive to big bear lifts, but definitely not walkable.

Great Cabin for small family weekend stay

The cabin itself is great and the layout is roomy enough to accommodate a small family of 7 to 8 people like stated. The only reason i did not give this place a 5 star is bc of the location. It should be stated during winter/snowy season the location absolutely requires you be aware a 4wd is necessary to travel the road on the street the home is located. Chains and tire cables will not cut it and you will end up stuck trying to get up the inclined street. Luckily people in the area came to our rescue and lead us to a back way to get to the street that had less of an incline. Other than that this is a good cabin rental.

Clean and Modern rental

everything was very clean and the view was pretty. however, there was a few things that could be better. first, there ia no A/C only a main "fan" unit for the whole house. the rental says it fits 8 people (i only had 7) but the living room area and bedrooms definitely don't. there is 2 bedrooms that fit 4 people and the master downstairs (heads up, no provacy door to master. only a curtain) the master bed has its bed and another bed for more people (my logic is, if the master is for a couple why would there be more beds for more people, again privacy.) my main complaint is that the beds we SO HARD AND UNCOMFORTABLE in the 3 nights i was there i could not sleep at all. this place has so much potential but there is a few key things that would make it better. but overall it was good.

The house is great but management company does little

The house is in a great location and is a nice house for a family getaway. My only complaint is the management company/cleaning company. There was no shampoo, conditioner or anything like that. Basic necessities weren't in the kitchen. There were only 4-6 towels in the house. When you're staying with multiple people and using the hot tub, this isn't enough. I think if the management company improves their game and is more generous with small things (shampoo) it would be a better experience. It's also a bit much to have to go to the Destination Big Bear Office when you Check in. Previously, we've gone to Big Bear (and when we owned a rental property up there), guests go straight to the property with a code. When you're driving in snowy conditions, it is a touch frustrating to make an extra stop just to have them text you the code.

Great house

My husband and I take our grandchildren on vacation every summer. This year we decided to stay close to home in Southern California. I chose this house because of the deck and the hot tub for the kids. The house is just as described. Everyone loved it and had a very relaxing time. Kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms nice and clean and beds were very comfortable. We spent more time out on the deck and enjoyed the birds and the views through the trees. Very quiet neighborhood! Also enjoyed the walks out the back gate.

Great property!

Everything was wonderful! I would say that the description exaggerated a bit about its walkability, but driving wasn’t an issue. The only thing that would’ve made the stay better is a canopy or some sort of shade on the porch. It got a bit hot out there during the day.

Love at first stay

From the moment we saw this property on the website we fell in love with it. Everything about it. The location is amazing. We went on two LONG hikes up the mountain just by walking out the back gate. The jacuzzi aided in our muscle recovery after. The master shower was great for getting all the chlorine off and the game room kept my boys entertained while we were able to do adult a

Great little location

Really liked that parking was easily available and access was seamless. Check-in was great. I liked that it had a private yard that was fenced off as well. Really secluded with visibility with one neighbor. Can definitely sleep a lot of people here, if needed. The only thing that was off to me was the bathrooms are ridiculously modern with the downstairs having a great soaking tub and nice large shower. Just very different from the rustic feel of the rest of the place. Good after a long day or for a parent to get away from the kiddos.

Quick moms getaway

In general the place was cute and clean and would definitely go back there again. The kitchen is nicely redone and so are the bathrooms . In the description it says walking distance to Bear mountain.. a little misleading.. sure you can walk up and down a couple hills to get to the side of the resort , but not an easy walk to get to the entrance ..Lots of hills which would not be fun carrying gear. It is however a very quick 2 min drive by car to the entrance . I definitely recommend this place, but just know you will need to drive if you want to ski/board.

Perfect snow house

Everything was great. It snowed on our way to Big Bear so we definitely needed chains as this house is kind of higher up on the mountain. It was beautiful and covered with snow. Luckily the snow plow was nearby and plowed the driveway for us so that we could park. The property has a nice hill that was great for playing in the snow and going down with a sled. There were a lot of upgrades to the home. The master bathroom even had a heated floor! Everything was beautiful.
