The property met our needs and accomodated our dog traveling with us. House is very clean, neighborhood was noisier than we are use to but we are not city people! We would stay here again.
There was a problem with the house we were going to stay at and the property owner gave us two other houses to stay. He was very nice and helpful. The houses were very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
We rented this house for my husband and 2 of his coworkers who were working in the area for a few weeks. The house was clean and had everything they needed. Plenty of room and bathrooms for comfort and privacy. Great location and excellent communication with owner Mark.
We would definitely rent from him again if ever in the area.
This old house was a great stay! Very close to the downtown area where my daughter was playing in a volleyball tournament. The house was clean and the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms were great for having family (Aunts/Grandparents/siblings) stay with us during the 4 day tournament. We made breakfast daily in the stocked kitchen and sat around the nice dining room table to spend time together. We watched a movie together on the living rooms comfy couches. The beds were very comfortable (MUCH better than a hotel mattress) and the mattresses were the right balance of support and softness. I was initially worried about the neighborhood but it was fine, no issues. The house is directly on the busy road that goes into the downtown area so it was fast and easy to get to where we needed. There was enough parking on the property by the garage for 3 cars and more on the street if we would’ve needed it. The heat didn’t kick in one morning and Mark was at the house within 10 minutes to figure out what was going on (the thermostat needed a new battery) and we were back in business! He was kind and nice and we enjoyed meeting him and chatting with him. We did laundry while there, the washer and dryer were in the basement and worked great. Bathroom showers had nice water pressure and the bathrooms were updated and nice. It’s an old house with character, which I loved. It reminded me of my Grandma’s house with creaky floors, but it was solid and warm and cozy. We would stay here again :)
We needed a place downtown and our location fit the bill. Very clean and a great space for everyone. The owner was wonderful to work with. We had a great 6 days with ample parking and room for everyone to hang out.
Good size property for a group of six-ten people. Unfortunately the check in was delayed due to previous guests. Cleaning staff very friendly and accommodating due to delay. Great location, family dollar, gas station, and liquor store within walking distance. Did not get much sleep at all, due to liquor store across the street alarm going off at 5am-8am each morning. This would be the only reason for not staying again. Recently the local homeless shelter was closed down, so there are homeless people hanging around and walking up and down the street.
Staying at a private home was a first for me and I loved it! I think I will need to do this from now on when I travel. Thank you for a great experience!
We enjoyed our stay here. The beds state queen size I believe they might be full size but I could be wrong. I'm used to my king so it was quite smaller than I'm used to. The home was clean. Had everything we needed. I wished there was an outside porch light for when we came back in the evening to feel a little more comfortable. Overall though I would book again. Mark was very accommodating.
It was a good House and will pick it next time I go to Iowa.

Interesting
Coming from rural Minnesota, Cedar Rapids was an interesting city for us. We planned to spend the day at Amana Colonies but decided the crowds would be too much work so spent the day checking out Cedar Rapids riding the scooters and eating Bohemian food. We had a pleasant time. House is located in a bit of a questionable area but close to town.
We ran into a couple of snags when arriving at the property, but Mark was very attentive and helpful to get any issues that popped up resolved. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property! We enjoyed our stay!
Mark is a Great guy! If we had any questions he answered them right away. The house was clean and in a Great location. If we are in the area we will definitely rent from him again...
