Relaxing Getaway on False River, with Swimming Pool, Hot Tub & Outdoor Kitchen

This is a spacious 4,500 square foot house on False River in the town of New Roads. It has 6 bedrooms/4 full bathrooms, 2 half bathrooms, with newly completed swimming pool, tub and outdoor kitchen with 75" TV, fireplace, gas grill, Kamado Joe, and bathroom. You will not want to leave!

We have a separate dining room, reading room., large game room (11'x48') that includes a ping pong table, foosball table, Golden Tee arcade game and a living room with a large 55" TV ready for lots of family fun. It has a very spacious fenced in back yard that will allow you and your family to play games or grill on our BBQ pit while looking at the water. The 100' pier has a large covered deck at the end with seating, lighting and a lower deck for fishing and swimming.

This house has an open floor plan with the kitchen flowing into the living room and dining room, giving plenty space for large groups. The screened in back porch is great for morning coffees, evening glasses of wine and countless hours of relaxing while enjoying the beautiful scenic False River.

Every bedroom has a queen or king bed. In addition to the living room, we have a second den with a futon, 3 comfortable chairs and a large TV. This is a great place to hang out or for kids to watch TV and play.

The master bedroom, kitchen, living room and five of the bedrooms overlook the water with great views of beautiful False River.

The main floor (2nd floor) has the living room, kitchen, dining room, study, master bedroom, master bathroom, half bathroom, and screened in porch.

Downstairs (1st floor) has 3 bedrooms (Queen, Queen and King), large full bathroom, game room , den, patio and garage.

The third floor is newly renovated and contains 2 bedrooms that overlook the water and each one has its' own private bathroom.

Family fun

Our extended family converged for pool fun, games and a lot of food for 5 days and a great time was had by all! This property is so beautiful, well kept and stocked with all the comforts of home. Working with Danny and Alys on the planning was so easy as they are very responsive and hospitable. We cannot recommend their beautiful home enough!

40 Anniversary Family Trip!

This place was amazing ! We had large group and were very comfortable , The house is very spacious , Clean , Beautiful!! The Pool and Dock were perfect and the cook area had everything you need !! 5 plus Stars , Can't wait to go back, Loved the town as well and the Catholic Church is Beautiful and a mile away . Highly Recommend this Lake House , You want be disappointed .

Wonderful Getaway

Property is better than advertised. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Located close to one end of the lake makes it more quiet with less boat traffic.

LSU football weekend

Fantastic home which six adult couples enjoyed immensely for a Thursday-Sunday LSU football weekend! Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy fellowship and relax in the pool and hit tub. We also hired private Chef Jeremy Coco who provided an exceptional meal. The owners are terrific people and great to work with !

The perfect place

We found this property to be super clean and beautiful. Well stocked, so that made it nice, only needing to bring our food. Communication with the owner/manager was top notch as well. They were extremely helpful and even went out of their way to find us a source of fresh crawfish. The pool and adjoining kitchen/living area were amazing. We spent all day there, only using the house to sleep. The house had everything you could ask for. The bedrooms were big and roomy. The kitchen was my dream kitchen. We’ve been doing a family vacation for several years and this is, without a doubt, the nicest place we’ve been to.

The host went above and beyond with this property! Everyone had their own space which was very comfortable. The property has anything and everything! Clean and luxurious! Decorated very well! The boat ride was amazing, large enough to fit everyone comfortably! We will be back! Highly recommend!

False River get away

Our family of 10 that included 3 generations had a fabulous time at this beautiful property on False River. It had everything we needed plus much more. The accommodations were first class from the beautiful home with plenty of space for everyone and a game room, to a spacious pool with a hot tub, to the incredible outdoor kitchen and entertainment space, that we all enjoyed, to the pier and breezy covered dock on the lake. The owners were very and attentive and had the home stocked with anything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back. Everyone gave our long weekend on the lake a 10 out of 10!

Rolling On Da River 2023

The house was amazing and the description didn’t do it justice. So much space and areas to enjoy together or to have a little time alone if desired. Six rooms was perfect for our family. We loved the outdoor kitchen area next to pool and hot tub was amazing. We really didn’t have to go in the house until the evening. There were so many extra touches and needs thought out like usb connections in almost every room. They thought of so many things to make life comfortable for those who stay there. We also rented their pontoon boat and enjoyed our sunset cruises each evening. We really had an amazing time! The owners were fantastic and always happy to respond to any questions.

House to buy when you hit the lottery

Usually we're kinda sceptical about going off reviews.. but I gotta tell you as people who have used VRBO a few times now NOONE has come close to these hosts!! The property was mind blowing .. pictures don't do this place justice. The sheer size of the home alone was crazy.. but the outdoor kitchen and hangout area was ridiculous.. that's the only way I could describe it.. if we ever hit the lottery we're making an offer on this house!! Now let's talk about this hosts.. you always worry what kinda people you might be renting off of so let me put your mind at ease.... These people honestly made us feel like we were staying at a families home. We really can't say enough about them .. every little touch and thing that they had thought out ahead of time to make sure our stay magical had already been done.. my wife absolutely melted (I know that sounds cheesy) when she saw the master bedroom.. it's view and the crazy attached master bathroom complete with .. get this.. real fresh flowers... Any time we had to call our hosts for any questions or anything we found ourselves getting sidetracked and just talking about a million other things it was always like we were just talking to our friends if that makes sense? And to be honest I don't think it was like a thing that they were doing just to get good reviews or anything, could genuinely tell it's just who they are ... With all that being said ide highly recommend this rental and we'll be doing everything in our power to come back ❤️

We bought this house in 2020 and have absolutely loved it. We immediately converted the attic to 2 bedrooms each with a private bathroom. We also added the swimming pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen. When our house is not rented, you can always find us relaxing by the pool, by the fire in the outdoor kitchen, or on the party barge running the river.

Why they chose this property

We love the location on False River. It is very quiet on our end of the river. We love to jump on the party barge and go for a ride. The view of the river can be enjoyed from the back patio, swimming pool, hot tub or around the fireplace in the outdoor kitchen. We cannot think of a more relaxing location to spend our time.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits to our house starts with the 6 bedrooms. Everyone will have their own private place to go at the end of the night. Additionally, the pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen make this the best all around rental on the water in Louisiana.
